In Tucson for a pickleball tournament with limited food options, I ordered Cheba Hut delivery for lunch one day... a simple "Make Yo Own" turkey and bacon sub for my son and "The Kind" (Turkey, Bacon & Shrooms) as a salad for myself... They have tons of unique options that range from simple to very imaginative, and they always deliver on the flavor, texture, and size. A 12 inch sub. Here is a lot more food than a 12 inch sub somewhere else. It's a little bit more expensive than a regular sandwich, but I think they're worth it. The service of this place gets a special nod. They're always chill, yet attentive and very friendly. A friend walked in wearing a T-shirt with a music group on it and without asking they played that group's songs until he left. I can always go to Chenab Hut and pick anything knowing it's going to be great! I was at UA when I decided to grab a bite. I didn't know place moved to SE corner of 6th St and Campbell. They just have three choices of bread, but the whole wheat bread did not look very dark like a real multigrain. I had a hummus, guacamole vegan sandwich, and it was really tasty. Customers have a choice whether to add jalapeño or not which I did. My three friends all got the kind sandwich which was a turkey ham sub with bacon bits. All three of them said it was really tasty. I have never seen Kool-aid served in a restaurant. I am guessing this is a tip to the novel The Electric Kool-aid Acid Test. The food was very good. I really enjoyed the loaded Not'chos. Although 2/3 of our sandwiches were delivered and not what we ordered, everything was good. We were delivered the Apollo 13, The Acapulco Gold, and the 5-0. We received the wrong sandwich, the worker who brought it out was nice about it, but then another lady came out. She seemed very upset, like a stick up her behind. (Don't think she could admit she was wrong). It was obviously wrong because our order had no tomato and the original worker said it was a different sandwich. Fast forward and that angry worker (lady, behind cook line, wearing a hat, bad attitude, glasses, acne...) brought it out, only said "no tomato" and slapped it on the table. Our sandwich didn't include any spicy peppers, but all the sudden our sandwich had some heat, she threw in peppers and tucked them in between the meat. I will say the prices were a bit steep for a sandwich but the quality is great. I really enjoyed it for a grab and go type of meal but the location is horrendous. The parking lot is shared amongst an apartment complex and other restaurants and I've often spent 15 minutes going in circles looking for a spot. The idea of folding the edges of the foil wrap back into the melting cheese is just dumb. When I got home and was ready to eat, it was not possible to separate those foil edges from the melted cheese (I wish I had thought to take a picture). The sandwich was destroyed in the process.
