Went tonight to support our favorite server! Unfotunately we didnt get him tonight!!! Went in, and a well groomed host/ manager??? Sat us! And then we waited, and waited!!! No acknowledgement, no drink orders taken!! And we waited!!! Servers seemed to be all around us, yet we were treated like we were invisible! We closed our menu's in hopes it would provoke a server to realize we were ready to order! Still no such luck! Lacking any other options we returned to the host stand, returned our menu's and went to a compeditors! Not a great night!! Heard someone say we were seated at 52? Whatever that means? I just stopped here for a quick lunch basically in the middle of the afternoon when they were very slow. It took forever to be seated , forever to get water and order !!!! Finally, they came with our order and it was not the complete order because she misunderstood . My husband had to get up 3 times to find help !! The waiter was extremely slow and uninterested. Not only did our food take over an hour to arrive-only two plates-but it came either far too undercooked or overcooked. Any information we asked for prior to ordering was waived off or answered hastily and vaguely. When we complained about the food, the waiter was reductive, saying "I don't see it raw" or "it's not burnt, it's crispy." Really? The food was awful and either burnt or rubbery and raw. DO NOT GO TO THIS CHILES!! We walked in on a Sunday at 4:45 pm...because our long weekend was over and we were heading home. Restaraunt was basically empty but for a few tables. The bar was busy and people were at the tables surrounding the bar. We were asked restaraunt or bar? We responded and pointed in direction of restaraunt. Without a word, "hostess" sat us at a table overlooking the loud bar area separated by a half glass window so you were basically in the bar area and certainly could hear the "louder" people in the bar area. Before sitting , we promptly asked to be seated in the restaraunt section . The "hostess" called over to someone else "a manager" ? ...to show she was moving us. Although it was just about empty ... lots of tables available.... she threw our menus down on our "new" table , right next to the bathroom...at the rear of the restaraunt and hurried away. We looked at each other ... no hostess to look at, or talk to , picked up our menus and seated ourselves for the third time at the front of the restaraunt by the windows where at least two other parties were already dining. Before we even had the chance to sit down the hostess was now right behind us saying , "you can't sit here , this section is closed" At almost 5 pm on a Sunday? I then tried to explain,, since she hadn't previously asked that we just didn't want to sit in or next to the bar..... before I could say ... or the bathroom, she quickly blurted... "it's not near the bar" Not sure what she was referring to and realizing this was probably a precursor to the food and service we were likely to be unaccommodated with, my husband and I left as abruptly as the "hostess" told us we could not sit there. I don't write reviews, but I do read them. If this review could save anyone the hassle of going to this Chile's that lacks basic customer service etiquette, then my time will have not been wasted. I love eating at Chili's! Unfortunately our waitress was simply the worst waitress I've ever had. It was a busy night and my wife and I ended up sitting in the bar area to eat dinner. The waitress was pleasant but she was either new or didn't care about her job. After taking out order, she didn't check up on us at all. She never asked us if we would like a refill on our drinks, dinner took about 40 minutes to get served, and every time, I had to get up and go look for her. I'm not expecting to be waited on hand & foot, but I do expect an occasional visit. The fajitas were supposed to be brought out sizzling. Not even close this time. Great food, lousy service. This was my first time visiting the new chilis. I was very satisfied with my visit. The inside is decorated nicely and the bar area is very nice with many televisions. They have happy hour specials all day which is a plus and the food was delicious. Service was great also. I liked how you can pay your bill at the table instead of having to wait for the server. Didn't have a great experience at this restaurant due to several reasons. Restaurant Not Properly Staffed: not enough servers for the service prep time currently receiving. Quality of Service: manager was at the front of the restaurant and had customers waiting a long time to be seated (restaurant was not at capacity to have customers wait for service), server did not provide a friendly or inviting environment as we had to wait several minutes for initial interaction and even longer to receive order of drinks. Quality of Food: we had two orders, the first one was a shrimp fajita and the second order was a grilled chicken salad. The shrimp fajita was over-seasoned and the side of beans had no flavor, and on top of that, we only received a small portion of the amount of rice on the order. The grilled chicken salad barely had any dressing and the chicken was extremely cold. My overall experience was unsatisfactory as I believe we did not receive what was requested. I would advice upper management to better staff their restaurants, especially during weekend peek-hours and also to retrain their staff on proper customer service etiquette. read more

While waiting, we observed several parties arriving at neighboring tables. Finally, our waitress attempted to serve us soup that we did not order. My wife and I go in here from time to time as they have several menu items we like at a good value. Today we ordered and my wife ordered the fajitas. Our food came out and my food was fine. That sizzling hot fajita plate came out with extremely hot chicken, onions peppers, black beans and rice. The waitress dumped the plate all over my wife. Black beans and rice all over her. Thank god she wasn't burnt. The waitress felt horrible and actually started crying. The manager came and sat what was left of the fajita plate in front of her (as she's still cleaning up a mess all over her shirt and jeans) and picks up the tortillas (that was on the floor) and said something along the lines of "you can eat this until we get you another one". She politely said no thank you it was on the floor. I sat there eating my meal watching her try to clean her clothes. I will say the manager brought out another plate for her rather quickly. We ate and honestly didn't really enjoy our meal because she is obviously covered in black beans and rice and grease from the fajitas. Ok let me say that I am absolutely not the type that looks for hand outs and I never send back food nor will I complain. So the bill comes...... our bill was wrong. We were charged $5 extra. We asked the waitress and she corrected it. Again I am not the type that wants a hand out but they charged us full price!!! They didn't comp anything!!!! It was only a $35 meal!!!!!! It's not like they dumped a salad on her, it was sizzling hot fajitas and black beans!!! Would it have hurt for that manager to not make her pay for her meal as an apology??? ABSOLUTELY horrible service, been there multiple times, nothing has changed. The food seems to be all pre-frozen, low quality food. And I mean if you're going to sell crappy food at least have good staff and pride yourself on the service you give but they can't even do that. the host when telling us about the specials seemed like he wanted to die, our server was completely uninterested and distracted, And the manager that spoke with us seemed mentally ill. It is hit or miss here. The restaurant was only a third full this evening but it took over an hour to get our food. The waitress did warn us that the kitchen was very slow this evening. When our food came out, half was cold and half was hot. They are not fully stocked on the beers listed in the menu. Our first 3 picks were all out. Hostess, our waitress and support staff made our lunchtime visit a memorable one, with excellent service, a delicious meal, timely refills on beverages and a relaxed dining pace.
