Service was spot on for most of the meal however as I was eating my appetizer the waitress arrived with my dinner entree. She apologized for the timing and blamed it on the kitchen. Stopped in after a visit to the zoo- it was only about 10 min away. A very big spot and also a big patio with an additional bar, so seems like this would be a great place for sports games (and I think they highlighted drink specials during games too). Anyways, our server was great and friendly and the staff that greeted us to. The food came out fast though it was pretty slow but still impressive. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and there were some good lunch specials. The only lackluster item was my wife's fish and chips, slightly over done with the breading, but everything else was solid. My nachos were a big hit and had lots of flavor in every bite. Lots of people nearby getting the Rueben's and other St Patrick specials which looked very tasty as well. We gave this Miller's Ale House location two chances, which was one too many. We both ordered a chicken & shrimp fiesta mimis bowl--normally a safe, decent choice--but this time the chicken was so aggressively over-salted it was completely inedible. Not "a little salty." Ruined. Full stop. The service somehow managed to be even worse. The restaurant had fewer than 25 people in it, with multiple servers standing around, yet we waited over 25 minutes just to get a slice of cheesecake to go and our check. Our dirty plates sat untouched in front of us for more than 35 minutes. Eventually, a young guy behind the bar grabbed them and offered to box up the remaining chicken. I declined and explained it was inedible due to major overseasoning with salt. He said he'd get a manager. Spoiler: that never happened. Instead, we watched a manager stroll over to the couple beside us, ask them how their meal was, and walk away--without ever acknowledging us. What makes this worse is that this wasn't an isolated issue. We dined the day before and ordered prime rib with a baked potato. The prime rib was, once again, so salty it couldn't be eaten. The only reason we returned was because I had a decent fiesta bowl that visit. Clearly, consistency isn't a thing here. Needless to say, there will not be a third try. This location earns two thumbs down: sloppy service, wildly inconsistent food quality, and management that doesn't follow through when there's a problem. Our party of 4 was told we'd to have wait for a table even though the restaurant was practically empty. We opted to sit at the bar that had only one other group at the time. Our waitress/bartender acknowledged us quickly and brought us waters. We caught her before she was about to take the food order of another group that sat well after us. We ordered a hamburger, French onion soup, wings and a salad. They brought out hamburgers to us that were for the people next to us who ordered approximately 5-7 minutes after us. Then they brought out another hamburger to us, that ended up being for the people on the other side of us who ordered about 15 minutes after us. When we brought it to our waitresses attention, she quickly re-entered our order. We assumed our order got lost, which we would have understood, but the staff insisted it didn't get lost, that "hamburgers take a long time ". First I will say that I love the osso bucco and the kids love the salmon, which is what made us go back after experiencing subpar service the first time. First visit about a month ago. We are a party of 3 adults and 3 kiddos aged 4-10. We were seated in a large booth, perfect for us! After waiting what we considered an excessive amount of time without even menus or water (est 10+min) we began to look around for a server. We flagged one who told us she could take our drink order but not our food order until another large (larger) party's food order went into the kitchen. Ok..... well we hadn't really looked at menus yet so.... Well ok. After another long wait for her to come back (can't even remember if she brought drinks yet or not) we said we were ready to order only to be told that she still couldn't put our food order in, and that they shouldn't have seated us in that section anyway, because they were shortstaffed and she couldn't handle more than the big table that she already had. So we sat and waited and finally got our food and out of the restaurant after probably an hour and a half. Much too long for a dinner with three kids. Then yesterday, we decided to try it again. The restaurant was not crowded at all, and we were told that there was another party of six that needed to be seated before us, even though there were many booths, large enough to fit us available. Obviously they were shortstaffed again. The other party of six must've left because they seated us right by the front door pretty quickly, which we were fine with. But then we sat there for a good 10 minutes or more without menus or water or anything. Finally, one of us went up to the hostess stand, which was right behind us and asked if there was a server assigned to this table. The same one we had the time before came up, put some forks and plates on our table and said she would be right back but she had this whole section to take care of and we were seated too early and that she would not be able to take care of us for at least another 10 minutes. We sat there shaking our heads, and obviously wondering why we came! After about five minutes, we saw a manager at the hostess stand and went up to him and asked him what was going on that we couldn't get served. He immediately apologized and he ended up taking care of our table for the entire meal, which went very smoothly, but obviously that wasn't his job. Somebody else was slipping on theirs. I'm not sure we would go back at this point, especially after writing this review. Thankfully, there are several other Miller's ale houses in the area where I can get my Osso Buco fix anytime I want! And I don't have to deal with waitresses who seem to want to tell you that they're overworked and that their restaurant is understaffed and clearly don't wanna wait on us anyway. It is season and I understand. There was a 45 min wait for inside dining. We chose to dine outside for "faster service". When the hostess did not take us to the outside dining an alarm went off which I ignored. Walking to the outside dining there were many many booths and tables open on the inside. Don't know where the 45 min wait time came in as there were only two ahead of us in line. Quick math said hmm wonder why. Giving a benefit of the doubt maybe a servier shortage. An hour and half later those booths and tables had servers and diners. Go figure. I walk into the outside dining and quickly see a server at the computer screen. I ask her if it's ok to sit at the table next to the computer. She says fine. Now the wait. No menus, no drinks, no order. She comes by and askes us what we would like to have to drink and want an appetizer? Ordered two soft drinks and their famous smoked fish dip. Perhaps the best smoked fish dip in the city. After a long wait out comes spinach dip. The server does not bring the food. We told the food bringer we ordered smoked fish diip and please take it back. After about 5 to 10 mins food bringer person tells us they no longer serve smoked fish dip. Oh well, please take the spinach dip off the bill. (I know dumb on my part). We waited about 20 mins for our entrees to arrive. Of note every food server person who came buy asked it this was our food and we said no. No table numbers? Our food arrived with a moderate amount of warmth. It was just ok. This place used to be awesome now it's very below average. When my bill came of course the spinach dip was on my bill. I called the server over and said we never ate nor did the dip even hit the table before we waved if off. She said she had to go to the manager to get the dip I never received off my bill. Maybe a 5 to 7 min wait. So a 45 min wait turned into a One hour plus wait. read more

I was at the South Naples location on 6827 Collier Blvd Our 1st experience here was awesome. We sat at the bar and Cameron was fantastic 2nd time- Waited for 2 seats at the bar. 2 became available after 10 min wait. We sat at the semi outdoor bar. When the bartender finally came over to us she picked up 2 menus but before she gave them to us I asked if she could wipe down the area (with rampant flu outbreak now it's not unreasonable) well she wasn't happy. She put the menus back in the pile barely wiped our area and walked away. She proceeded to wait on 2 other couples that sat after us. I asked her if she was serious. She made a fake apology and went and got 2 menus. She clearly had ann antt because we asked to have the area cleaned after the prior customers left. I sincerely hope that the cleaning the area between customers is mandatory After that encounter I did not have a good feeling so we left and on the way out saw the manager and explained the situation. Surprisingly good dinner visit to Miller's Ale House. The restaurant was busy on a Saturday evening. The place is a sports bar and restaurant. It is a loud venue but we were able to speak comfortably. The restaurant has an extensive menu and many beer choices. Our group of 4 all ordered Mimi's Fiesta chicken and shrimp bowl. Delicious combination grilled chicken and shrimp in a salad. The best part was all in we ate and wine and beer and the bill excluding tip was less than $50. read more

How To NOT Handle a Situation: (Concerning MANAGER effective evening shift of July 24. Our waiter was great, Miller's ale house does not deserve him). Got an ID rejected because the lamination was broken and it was near expiring (I imagine IDs get a little broken down looking after years of use, hence the near-expiration). But u can get the sauce on the side.. so we ordered 2 sauces on the side and a bowl and tossed our own ... . The cocktails watered down due to sitting at the bar for a while prior to being brought over. With the food expediting well within view it's hard to ignore the large quantity of food that sits for long periods of time and staff just walking by in circles , empty handed...as the guy in charge of food just shifts a plate from one side to the next until there's nowhere else to put it , so finally he brings it to a table. The idea of Miller's was better than the experience. Our service was good, but the over all guest experience was very underwhelming! We walked up to the hostess stand and were given a mask. I actually appreciated that she did not turn us away because I had forgotten mine, and I walked in without one. We were placed in a booth by the bar with direct view of the kitchen. They were turning plates around quickly, and the manager seemed very attentive. Our server was nice, and she came over to us within minutes of sitting down. I got the French dip. It was packed with meat, but seemed almost as if it were thawed and had freezer burn. The au ju, which is the brown sauce that you typically use with this sandwich, was definitely needed. It made it bearable. My husband got a burger and he seems pleased. His sweet potato fries came with ice cream! Lol, jk the butter was frozen. Everything just seems to come straight out of the freezer. The food is not worth the money, unless it's happy hour. I won't be back. Update: My opinion of this business stands firm as of now.
