This is a great Mexican restaurant that is authentic ! The service is friendly and great for families!!! Looks like mexico inside. Food is delicious! I got the Texas enchiladas and I loved every bite! I added salt to bring out the flavor. They have great vegetarian options.

We decided to try Margaritas after looking for a good Mexican food restaurant with vegetarian options. I ordered the chicken tacos. The chicken tasted good and it came with a salad which was also good. The service was slow and I had to ask for a lemon for my water 3 times. The waitress was friendly though and corrected the issue and brought me a water with lemon, however by the time she brought the lemon I was finished eating. The water tasted nasty, I would not recommend a beverage here as the soda tasted just as nasty. The outdoor seating was very nice and relaxing however we were getting bit up by flies and wanted to leave and the waitress was taking long to take our card so we could head out. Overall my ratings are as followed. Service: 2/5 Food: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Great place for food and drinks! Got a pitcher of the house margarita start off dinner. I ordered chimichanga with barbacoa and my wife got the house sampler. The chimichanga was good and the barbacoa was seasoned well. The house sampler was more than enough food for my wife. The waiters checked in on and and provided excellent service. I would definitely recommend going back to try their other items. Tip: they do charge extra for refills on the chips. Not an issue just a fyi.

Margarita's had nice outdoor seating that made the long wait for our food not so bad. The chips and salsa were tasty and overall the food was alright. They mixed up one of our orders but by the time the food arrived we were hungry and took it. Overall pretty good food and not too pricey for Marco Island.

Tacos

Tacos were bland and unseasoned. Horrible tacos. Service was fine. And the atmosphere was fine.

It's my first time here at MARGARITAS, I had pork tacos from here. I was good, tasty The service was okay. We got tortilla chips twice when we weren't suppose to & we asked the servant to bring us hot sauce and a lemon water instead of a regular water. The water taste like bottled water. But overall the place was good and the food, it was good too. I enjoyed my tacos with a side salad. I would recommend this spot to older folks not younger folks!!

As returning visitors to the area we decided to try Margarita's. It apparently is the area's "off" season for tourists, and the restaurant had maybe two other tables seated with diners, though they have plenty of seating indoors and out to accommodate a LOT of customers. The employees looked bored to tears with nothing to do to stay busy, however in our favor we did receive prompt service for getting our drinks, receiving salsa along with pico de gallo and chips, and having our orders taken. Food was served within 10 minutes of ordering. Entrees at our table included veggie tacos, shrimp fajitas, and beef tacos with sides of black beans, Mexican rice, and refried beans. The food was just okay. The 6 shrimp that came with the fajita order had the tails on (which I have never seen when ordering at other Mexican restaurants). I asked if we could get additional chips and salsa and asked first if there was a charge, and we were told the first order of salsa and chips is complimentary and after that it is $3.95. I was surprised since there were 3 of us dining. It is common practice among most Mexican restaurants that each person dining receives a complimentary serving of chips and salsa, therefore we did not order additional. Think about it, if 3 of us came in and had each sat at a separate table, we would have each received an order of chips and salsa. But because 3 of us came in and sat at the same table together, we all have to split one order? Not cool. Given the few customers dining inside, the music being played was a little overbearing. I would suggest turning the volume down some when there are only a handful of people in the establishment. We were not overly impressed as a whole but left with full bellies. The food is overpriced by about $2 per entree compared to competitors. It is not likely we will return, but we are finding that most restaurants in Marco Island seem to cater to the tourists who they know will only hit them up once or twice while vacationing and not overly concerned with focus on high quality service and food. It's unfortunate for the locals and for those here for any period of time.

Overall I think everyone loved the food - a friend got the lamb shank and said it was amazing. The only thing that could have been improved was the surf n turf special. The steak (which I think was a strip) was reported to be lacking in flavor... Pro tip - don't skip on the free bread/cornbread and butter! It's the perfect carb start to any meal!!

Tough place to locate because there is very little signage. We were able to find it after driving around a bit. We found a nice parking spot in the rear of the hotel that it sits beside. Upon entering the area where the music stage is set up, we noticed a decent crowd with everyone sitting and enjoying the music. The bar is inside where everyone goes to get a drink. The service was good...a couple of bartenders ready to help, if needed. The crowd was mainly older adults....ages 40-65 would be my guess. The music was good....all the hits from the Eagles to Nirvana to James Taylor. As a first timer, it was kind of confusing where to order food. However, I did not notice food being served. I did notice a small restaurant set up in a small seperate building but there was no one eating in there. I guess the bartenders take the order and then deliver the food. Would I go back? Not sure...not much happening that would attract me Vibe: laid back....easy going Drink Price: very reasonable Parking: for me, it was great but I could see people having issues Dress: key west casual 4 stars

There were pieces of tuna, srirchaca lime aioli, avocado, scallions and jalapeños. I am very sensitive to spice, however I did not find this item to be spicy. The pork belly bao buns were also delicious! They came with honey garlic sauce, pickled onions, jalapeño, cucumber, green onions and sesame aioli. The chicken satay was FANTASTIC!!! They came as 5 skewers. The peanut sauce it came with was one of the best I've ever tried. Super creamy and peanutty. Made to perfection. The Kane salad was phenomenal and I loved the addition of the crunchy noodles. It came with mixed greens, red onions, bell peppers, carrots, cucumber, sesame seeds and a citrus vinaigrette. Overall really beautiful dining experience with a breathtaking view of the beach while we ate.

Today, we attempted to have lunch at The Speakeasy. We've heard mixed reviews from other residents. However, we like to form our own opinions so we thought we'd give it a try. What a mistake. Walking into the bar/restaurant, a handwritten sign told us to seat ourselves. So, walking towards their outside area, we were hit by a wall of cigarette smoke. No biggie. It's outdoors. Not ideal but whatever. It IS mostly a bar. So, we picked a table. On our way to sit down, a server walking past mumbled a hello and kept walking. So, we said hi and sat at a table. The server then stood several feet away and just stared at us. Literally, did not move. Not even to take care of other tables, which we noticed after a time, were just sitting there not receiving service as well. So, we waited. ...and waited. 10 minutes later, and the server never moved. Ultimately, we decided to leave. As my husband and I stood up and began walking out, the server reached behind her and grabbed two menus, watching us the entire time. She then said, "Sorry folks. Have a great day." Wow. Off season, places like this depend on locals to keep their businesses afloat. With the kind of attitude and service we received, we won't be back.
