My meal was fine. However, I found a woman's fingernail in my food. Unfortunately, the wait staff did not even offer an apology.

A Hidden Gem That Proves You Can't Judge a Book by Its Strip Mall…read more Don't let the location fool you. Tucked into an unassuming strip mall in Naples -- yes, right next to a laundromat -- Next Level Caribbean Bar and Grill is exactly what its name promises: next level. We stopped in to pick up an oxtail order for a friend, and ended up staying to enjoy cocktails on the patio. While we were there, we ordered the jerk chicken tacos (only managed a photo of those -- we were too busy soaking up the ambiance to think about documentation), a quesadilla, and another appetizer I honestly can't recall by name but absolutely remember enjoying. The food is fabulous and authentically Caribbean. The kind of food you simply do not expect to find in a nondescript little corner spot. Yet here we are. What really stood out beyond the food itself was the sheer volume of business this place was doing. While we sat, a steady parade of Uber Eats and DoorDash drivers cycled through, alongside families walking in for their own pickup orders. When a restaurant is replacing people's home-cooked meals on a regular basis, that tells you something important: the food is that good, the consistency is that reliable, and the staff clearly knows how to execute both dine-in and takeout without sacrificing quality or temperature. That is not easy to do, and they make it look effortless. A note on timing: I visited in early 2026 and am only now getting around to uploading the photo and writing this up -- my apologies for the delay. A return visit is already on my to-do list, and I'll update this review when I get there. Practical tips: You'll need a car or to be within their delivery radius. I did pickup myself and can confirm the order held up beautifully. If they deliver to you, I'd encourage you to give them a try without hesitation. Next Level Caribbean is a genuine find. Seek it out.

Finally, my 30 plus member cigar club, from the Venice FL area decided to make a road trip to Naples, specifically to visit The Burn. Twelve of us made a caravan and left Venice, driving to Naples. We arrived and had no trouble finding nearby parking for all of our vehicles. After parking we entered the lounge finding it to be quite large, with a nice bar, humidor and an outside patio too. We entered the humidor and found a staffer who offered suggestions, cut our cigars and even offered to light them for us. We paid him right there and stuffed his tip jar - that was awesome service. We then gathered in the main room of the lounge and began our cigar tasting while enjoying a few Old Fashion whiskey drinks. Then six of us wandered out to the patio and grabbed a nice large table. The bartenders were fast and service was okay. The servers were awesome, prompt and very attentive to our tables - efficient is a great description. We stayed until about 6 PM and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I understand Rocky actually has a birthday there on March 10, 2026. Hopefully I can attend.

When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, which felt odd, but we decided to stay because there was plenty of space for the kids to play. Since there was only one waitress working, we tried to help by moving some tables ourselves. Suddenly, another lady came out and, without even greeting us, began raising her voice, telling us we weren't supposed to do that -- even though we were only trying to help and the place was completely empty. Later, I set up a kid-size pickleball net outside in the large open area where, again, no one else was around. The same lady came out once more, this time with an even worse attitude, and asked us to leave in front of my daughter. So we did. As we were leaving, I mentioned that I would be leaving an online review, and she started shouting, accusing me of "threatening" her. I understand if they prefer not to have a kids' net set up, but her attitude and behavior were completely unacceptable. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when children are present, and in a market with so many options, service and attitude matter just as much as food or location. I believe the owners should be aware of what happened and take action, especially given how much social media and customer reviews influence dining decisions today.
