Everytime you come here you will be nearly forced into a bar and if you want to sit in the dining room you will get dirty looks however the girl at the bar is usually very nice and if you do happen to get in the dining room they are nice there too the food is usually very good and so is the service just wish the lady who works the front would be a little more understanding and stop forcing you into the bar me and my friend alternate between here and the location in la verne every single time we come here we are pressured into the bar but we prefer dining room because we aren't into sports on one occasion we even heard the people at the bar complaining about the lady who greets people forcing customers into the bar again overall service is good but let customers choose where they would like to sit read more

I haven't been to a Chili's in about 7 years and I'm definitely not glad I returned. I don't know if it was just this specific location but this restaurant had definitely gone down hill. I went with 2 friends of mine and we all got the 3 for 10 hoping to save money. But the soups we got were so salty they were inedible especially the chicken enchilada, and the Chili I got was all meat Chile and tasted out of the Can like something I've had before at home. Then when we got the entrees and the chicken ranch quesadilla were flavorless except for the salt. I thought we'd be safe getting "Hispanic" food at a chili's since I figure that's what they specialize in. I couldn't imagine how bad the pasta or barbecue food is. Came in today for lunch, they did have a large party of about 15 but other than that it was pretty slow. Mind you that working in a restaurant myself has ruined me, I come in and notice nothing has been dusted in probably months. Okay, working in a restaurant sucks, I'll let it slide. Then it takes about 35 minutes for our food, understandable IF it was busy...but it wasn't. Out waitress didn't really mind us, never checked on us or nothing. Drinks never got refilled when asking for waters. Food was WAAAYY too hot meaning it was sitting under a salamander for way too long. Just overall bad experience, only reason I gave two stars is because the bartender was a sweetheart. He got our drinks out fast and joked around a little. Showed up when restaraunt opened and the food took about 40mins. Service was friendly. Lighting was too dim. I like to see if my utensils and plates are clean and ensure my food looks ok! Felt like I was eating in the dark. Ordered fajitas and the beans were cold. My side plate was warm thinking it came out the washer but the plate was kinda grimey and felt like it wasnt scrubbed. Two weeks ago on a thursday I went in for lunch. We paid with the kiosk. the server totaled it up and when he handed it back it was on the signature screen. I paid my bill and received the receipt by email. I checked my email later and realized there was a tip added to the bill!!! I paid my tip cash on the table. I was irritated to know that I paid a huge double tip! I don't know how often that happens or if it was a mistake (or if the server was deceitful), but watch your bill before you leave. read more

Came to eat out on a date with my hubby on 3/1. There wasn't that long of a wait (20 min) which is not bad for a Friday night. Once we got seated it all went downhill from there. We didn't have a dedicated waiter, we were approached by a gentleman who told us our waiter was on break, he was nice. He brought out drinks and appitizers out but no one checked on us. We waited a while then the same man came and took our food order about 15 to 20 min after we were done with our appitizers. Food came out still no waiter, food came out and my broccoli was so smushy I couldn't eat it, it was gross! keep in mind we sat down for about an hour and had to flag someone down for a refill from our first drink. My husband told me when he went to the bathroom there were employees throwing food to each others mouths from 6 feet away from each other I don't know WTH was going on, there didn't seem to be a manager around at all! This was my first time coming to this chili's and it was not a good experience. We ordered online and got there at the time it told us it would be ready by. I went inside and had to wait over ten minutes before anyone even came to the pick up area, I didn't think too badly of it as I figured maybe they were busy. So I wait a few minutes for my order as they finish making it, I pay, and I'm on my way. As I'm in the parking lot I touch the ribs and fries...they're cold and stale. The sides are hot, but the rest is cold. So I went back and let them know, they took my food and said they'd fix it. Ten minutes later and I get my food, which was just reheated, I wouldn't mind with the ribs, but reheated fries just have this taste about them that isn't the same. I've had good experiences at Chili's before, but this one was a turn off. The service was not that great as the waiter was not very apologetic about the food. This was my one experience at this particular Chili's I just hope this isn't the norm for it. read more

Went for lunch with my pop and brother.We really enjoyed the experience. The interior was very clean, felt good. The host who seated us was prompt and friendly. Our server was outstanding! super friendly! He was on point! very attentive, making sure we got coffee and beverage refills immediately, very knowledgeable regarding menu choices, he was so open and accommodating, he made us feel so welcomed. His warm personality and professional demeanor just blew us away. The food was fresh, and delicous. I had the santa fe crispy chicken salad, it was scrumptious, and my pop had a chicken/rib combo. It was huge, it had a big portion of ribs, chicken, sausages, mashed potatoes, a whole corn on the cob, pickles, extra dipping bbq sauce, and a big slice of toasted french bread!. Pop said it was fresh and tasty. My brother just had coffee and water with lemon and our waiter kept refilling both right away! I went to the restroom before we left and it was very clean and stylish, and I like that it had a nice baby changing table/station too. The menu prices were pretty good, between $6.99 and $10.99 mostly for items, the portions are ample. Oh, they have several big screen t.v.'s hanging too. That was cool. Tonight we go out for a family meal at this chilis location that we stopped visiting due to the long waits and poor service. Yet we give it another chance! we go with a party of 9 ,both my husband and I are restaurant managers, so we like to have good food and good service!! We walk in and wait for about 5 min to get our name takin, there is no hostess or manager in site.. The phone is ringing off the hook Others are waiting as well. And we still decided let's just give it a try. We are seated within 20 min and are greeted in a timely manner by our server, she gets our drink order in right away and asked if we are ready.. We get our drinks about 8 min later understandable, it takes about 15 more min to order... They seem busy and there sections oddly spread out..we go through about four refills in a 35 min wait for our food.The server was very attentive throughout our wait.to pass the time they had a ballon girl making balloons for the kids she was doing the table next to us when we sat down and my daughter was watching and asking for a ballon.. I told her to wait she would come after, the girl I saw look over a few times and she went to another section which I understood, people may have requested before, so I ask my server to see if she could have her come over and she did.. We finally received our food and the server brought out everything we needed, though everyone around us was stating waiting for there checks or deserts etc.. No pre busing in site, a lot of dirty Tables.. Turning tables didn't seem to be a priority for some particular reason ... After we are finished up the server asks for deserts and boxes promptly, this has now been an hour and a half venture and the girl doing the balloons left without visiting our table.. Now I normally do not complain or look further into things because I understand things happen, though I cannot bypass the fact that I feel we were discriminated against due to our bi racial party.. All of the Caucasian tables with kids were attended right away, though our party and the party behind us were Caucasian Hispanic and African. American mixed up and were never visited..I know there is a stereotype in the restaurant business that certain races do not tip but you know what I have never stood by that! I had money ready to spend,We are in the customer service business to help each and every guest that enters your premises no matter what they tip!!! Like I have said previously I do not complain though this experience left me with a deep irritation.. My children are just as good as any other and should be treated with care!! For this reason I will never visit this location again!! This location shows poorly on the chilis brand!! Very poorly managed!! Hadn't been to Chili's in a while. The noise level is always deafening. They use to have a GREAT ribeye steak. When they brought me my meal the steak was unrecognizable as a ribeye ( I actually asked if they brought me the wrong steak). It looked steamed, not grilled. It was grey and absolutely no marbling. The broccoli was almost raw without seasoning of any kind. Mashed potatoes were eh. It was handed to me on a small white plate without any garnishment of any sort. It was a very sorry looking and tasting meal. Such a shame. Also had the sweet corn guacamole. It was absolutely nothing special. I won't be going back. I can steam my own steak at home. Went to Chili's for dinner tonight. I was really disappointed. First of all, put our name down to be called, they never called us. They called another name and the woman said that we were first. Then when we were seated, our waitress took our drink order then came back and took our food order. We ordered the southwest eggrolls and two hamburgers. We placed the order around 6:20 p. The order finally came to us at 6:50 p and no eggrolls. We had to ask the person who brought our food for silverware and napkins. When I flagged down our waitress and told her about the order, she stated that she would get our eggrolls. I told her that I did not want the eggrolls. Does anyone want to get any additional food, when you have made complaints about the food or service? I do not, who knows what they will do to my next order. She then says, would you like me to take the eggrolls off? I told her yes, especially because we did not get them. Then the manager came over to apologize. I explained the situation. He offered to give us dessert. We told him we did not want dessert. He ended up comping one of our meals. I have worked in the restaurant industry in the past and I understand that food can be late, if there is trouble in the kitchen, then tell me. This is the second time with poor service. My boyfriend and I are big fans of Chilis. We eat there probably once or twice a week. This was not our first time at the Chilis in Montclair and normally the service is good, this is important to me because I am a server at a different restaurant. This visit was different. Upon walking into the restaurant the host told us to give her a minute as she dropped food off. After a few minutes she came back and then told us it would be another minute while she cleaned our table. She sat us after cleaning the table. It was about five minutes before she came back and told us our server was busy but she would get our drink order. She brought us our waters and told us that our server would be right over. Fifteen minutes went by and no one came to our table. This was when we left. It was clear that the hostess was doing her best to assist the server but no customer should have to wait fifteen minutes to be seen by their server. It was a very upsetting experience and I expected better from a brand like Chilis. read more
