I understand family lunch options when you're at Great Wolf Lodge aren't the best. But if you're going to go for safe American food, go to Sizzler across the street instead for a faster, tastier, and overall better experience. We arrived around 1:15PM and despite seeing several empty booths and tables, were told there was a 15 minute wait (no other party in front of us - although a couple arriving later was sat immediately while we were still waiting). I'm not expecting Mary Poppins enthusiasm from greeters/hosts, but it just seemed we were an inconvenience from the start. We wait patiently anyway. After seating, we were able to order our food quickly, within 10 minutes of sitting down, which I thought was efficient. Drinks and soup/salad from the combo came out within 10 minutes after that, which I also thought was normal/efficient service. However, the rest of our meal, I am not exaggerating when I say it took 55 minutes (I kept time) for two lunch combos (a sandwich and a quesadilla) and three kid meals (mac-and-cheese - which is straight up just from a Kraft box, three chicken tenders likely just fried from a Costco down the street, and a mini-pizza) to arrive (kinda lukewarm too). I think what was a bit irriating was one cursory acknowledgement from the waitress (at around the 45 minute waiting mark) to check-in on our food order (it still took 10 more minutes before it arrived). And when the food did arrive (the restaurant had gotten quite a few more large family parties seated after us), most of their food came out right after ours too, which makes me think they likely queued up all the food orders in one go to serve at once, and us, being the first order of the large rush, had to wait nearly 1 hour for it to arrive. A chicken sandwhich and heating frozen quesadillas/chicken tenders/pizza/french fries shouldn't take an hour to fry. By the time we finished and got into our car, it was 3:10PM, meaning from setting foot in the door to exiting was nearly a 2 hour affair (technically 1 hour 55 minutes). By contrast, our dinner at Sizzler the night before during prime dining hours was in-and-out at around 1 hour with better food and service. I'll say the price point at Chili's is good, which nets it 2 stars vs. 1 star, but you do get what you pay for, which is just low-budget, fastfood-equivalent meals. Maybe we caught them on an off-day, but if time and patience are more important to you, there are much better toddler-friendly dining options available. read more

What can I really say about this establishment, they are all somewhat the same. Whether it be Red Robin's, chilis, etc. the service depends on how busy they are and the food quality will never be the greatest, but I might as well give my opinion in this location. I ordered the ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and half rack of ribs with corn and fries. The mashed potatoes were pretty bland but all the other toppings gave it some flavor, and the ribeye was over cooked. No sear on it but it is Chili's so what do you expect. Ribs are what you expect it to be and the fries were not seasoned. The only thing that really had flavor was the corn. As far as the service, it took a while for anyone to come help me with my order. For some reason places with designated "pick up" areas always take way longer then places where you walk to the counter. They literally have a person who's job is to help customers with pick up orders but they're always not there, you have to flag down an employee to call that person for assistance. That's your job, why are you in the back? You're job is to stay there for pick up orders lol whether it be chilis, Apple bees, etc. the designated pick up area is always empty and you must flag down another employee to call that employee over. All in all I give this place a 2/5. I won't give them 1 star because it is a chain restaurant and they all work the same way but come on now. read more

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge half a mile away and are so glad this Chili's was so close. We eat at Chili's a lot in our hometown of Reno and the level of service at this Manteca location was very superior. The hostess stated her manager said we could not serve you because the servers were too busy. We also offered to split our able to make it easier. I have never been turned away at a restaurant. Tracy, CA is the only Chili's I have been to that was decent. This Manteca location is the best (for lack of a better word) of the worst. Server was rushing the entire time, which made me uncomfortable. We ordered water and when she delivered it she was walking so fast that she slammed the cups on the table and water splashed up and hit me. When my salad arrived the avocado was brown (I almost threw up in my mouth). I pointed it out to the guy who delivered the food and the server and neither was apologetic. But it wasn't their fault, the cook actually allowed it to leave the kitchen. They didn't take the salad back, they just brought me new avocado...ooookay. My son ordered the sliders off the kids menu and they looked and felt like they were zapped in the microwave, along with the cheese that looked like orange glue (it was so over cooked from the microwave). Anyway, I do not recommend this place. I tried to eat the salad but stopped midway. Even though the avocado they brought back wasn't brown, it had a funny taste and I started to become nauseous.
