    2 oz cup

I ordered a side of guacamole for $5.38 and I got a 2 oz cup. I went back in and they told me that was correct. I told them that this can't possibly be right and they said, "it's one scoop." No wonder they don't indicate the size on the menu. After politely arguing my point they did give me another 2 oz cup - it's printed on the bottom of the cup, "2 oz." So disappointing and yet their food is good. I'm still offended.

We stopped in for a friend lunch with three of us. The parking lot was FULL, like we had to do some laps and eventually parked on the street, which is not ideal since traffic kind of zooms by here. The inside is much bigger than you'd expect and considering how packed the parking lot was, there was plenty of space for more guests inside. We sat in the covered outdoor area in the back and were helped by their friendly team right away. We got some sodas and horchata to start- the horchata was delicious. They bright chips and salsa with the drinks and then we placed our food orders. I ended up getting a torta, which came with fries and it was much bigger than I expected. The flavors were great, and they use fresh Genova bread. Our food mostly came out at the same time, but we had ordered a side of gravy and fresh tortillas that ended up coming a bit later. By the time these came I was full from half my torta and ended up getting a box. We all really enjoyed our food though. The team here checked on us often and were friendly. They also let us hang out and talk for awhile, even after our check was paid. There were plenty of other tables still available, so we took our time while we caught up. Definitely would come back again.

okay let's get right into it. cheese gravy was good. i get cheese gravy at every mexican spot that has it and this among the better ones. the salsa was mid. no spice to it and not super flavorful. the alambre was really really good. packed with flavor and perfect balance of ingredients. the beans and rice remind me of tio pepe which i love. super nostalgic. good flavor and rich without being too rich. th chilaquiles had too much cheese for me and not enough sauce. not the worst but not the best. they put tomatoes on the chilaquiles which gives them a bit of sweetness that i wasn't a fan of. my mom also got the chilaquiles but with scrambled eggs and hers weren't nearly as cheesy. may not have even had any, but she liked them nonetheless. two others got chicken tacos and we also got flautas. they all enjoyed their dishes. my dad is picky about his chicken tacos and was surprised when he actually enjoyed these. a little bit of lettuce overload on the plate though. the person who got flautas also really liked his dish too. the homemade tortillas were good too. we got chicken tenders for the baby and they were so overcooked. the outside was super crispy she couldn't even eat them. the inside was super dry. not good. the fries were plain and not even really warm when they were brought out. also go a big mamacita margarita for $26 and it was so watered down. it was so big that you should have at least felt a buzz from it if not more. felt absolutely nothing. the alambre honestly was so good that it's bringing the score up slightly. the staff was friendly and attentive. food took a while to come out, but i don't mind that if it means my food is being made fresh. after 20% tip, the meal wasn't just under $200 for 6 adults and a child. i feel like that's not a bad price point.

The food here is pretty good. I love the wet burrito supreme with chile Colorado & whole beans. The gravy on top is so good!!! I also like the crispy beef tacos and the Chile verde and Colorado are quite tasty. They also have good soups like menudo and pozole.

OMG where do I begin? I have never been here and the food is absolutely amazing. The margaritas are just as good. Get a tall and you will feel it all night long. This is our New Mexican restaurant for sure. Our server Jr. was so friendly and knowledgeable as well. Ask to sit in his section and you will have a great experience.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was able to find a table for three right away even though it was pretty busy. Got lucky. Ordered the bean dip to go with the chips and salsa and it was so good. Nice and cheesy and salty. We all ordered Luis' Favorites and it was so much food and so flavorful! It came with a taco, enchilada, Chile relleno, and steak ranchero with rice and beans. Ended up taking half home for later. We also asked for some fresh tortillas on the side and they were so soft and fluffy. Would come back to try the same thing again. My cousin got a paloma and it was huge! It came out to $94 before tip.

Been here twice in the last month and both times service was great and food was delicious. Ambiance is very laid back. Price was expensive for the area but the amount of food you get as well as quality is well worth the price. Each time I have gone, I got a combo plate and it comes with enough food for three meals. They do not skimp out on the meat. Only disappointment is the first time we went, when they gave us tortillas, half of it was homemade and the other half was store bought. The second time we went it was all store bought. When we asked for homemade they said they ran out which was weird to me because don't they make the tortillas in house? We tried all the different combinations and all of them were tasty. If I am ever in the area, definitely my go to Mexican restaurant!

8/16/24: two orders chorizo con huevos. Rice, beans, salsa on the table and requested pico de gallo for a mild option. yum

Our table was right next to a metal utility rack they were using to store menus and cleaning products. That's fine, but my head was close to a spray bottle and a bottle of Lysol, which wasn't ideal. They were very busy, so we had high hopes for great food. Unfortunately, many of the items were bland. The beans and rice were especially underwhelming, with very little flavor--you can tell from the picture that the rice is basically plain white rice. My flautas were crunchy with fresh toppings, but the meat lacked flavor. My meal came with a bowl of fideo, but it wasn't delivered before my meal like it was for other tables. In fact, I had to ask for it after our food arrived, which makes me think I wouldn't have received it otherwise. After we finished eating, it took about 15 minutes to get our check. The servers were clearly very busy, but it would have been nice to leave sooner. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. The noise level was overwhelming, and the food was just okay. If I did return, I wouldn't order anything that comes with beans and rice.

She was very nice and helpful. We shared a piña con coco cocktail, which I really enjoyed. It had a spicy rim and was sweet, but not too sweet. We ordered the guacamole, which was made tableside. I ordered the enchiladas al comal, which looked really good. Unfortunately, I didn't love the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas and wished I had ordered a more traditional red or green sauce. But it was still good, and I can see why it's popular. I did enjoy the steak and vegetables inside the enchiladas. I was leaning toward a 4-star rating since I didn't love my enchiladas and wouldn't order them again. But Isabella's service was so excellent that it alone pushed my review to a 5.

The prickly pear margarita tasted more like a pink Jolly Rancher than anything else, which just wasn't for me. My fajitas were alright, but they came without any sour cream or guac and the pico was mainly onion. When I asked the waiter, he told me they don't come with it, even though the menu said otherwise. Without those, the fajitas ended up being really dry. I ended up just paying and getting ready to leave, but when I grabbed a menu again and asked about it, they apologized and offered me chips and salsa to go, which I appreciated. The staff was very nice throughout, but the whole experience felt a bit disorganized. Overall, it just didn't feel like a good value for the money, and I left pretty underwhelmed.

The homemade tortillas were so fresh and tasty. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their food. We split the three-piece quesabirria tacos, and they were excellent. I chose La Mesa because the first time we went I was very impressed with the delicious drinks and the short rib enchiladas. The atmosphere is so special and intimate whether you're on a date or with family. Both times we went, our servers were friendly and checked on us appropriately. Our server yesterday was handling making drinks at the bar and serving other tables that were there for Valentine's Day, but she still provided us with really good customer service (not sure of her name but she was wearing a pink shirt). We ordered a few drinks that included a strawberry horchata with rum, and a special one for Valentine's Day called the cupids kiss. They really stood out to me with how cute and yummy they were. For an appetizer, we ordered birria French fries. I was surprised that it had the consommé because I assumed it would make the fries soggy.... But it did not! They were AMAZING. The birria was tender and delicious, the flavor had a lot of depth in the consommé. For our entrees, we both cannot get enough of the short rib enchiladas with the mole sauce. They are our favorite. I really am just grateful that there is a restaurant like this that cares about the food they share with their customers. In the past, we ate at restaurants for my birthday where they didn't take as much pride or care about what they served. My birthday dinner at La Mesa felt very special to me and my boyfriend. As for the crispy tacos, there's a big difference between tacos that are freshly and properly fried and those that are overcooked in rancid oil. Unfortunately, what I received fell into the latter category, which is simply unacceptable. The service was also lackluster and apathetic. ----------- Jeff Berretta, no one is questioning the quality of the products served at your restaurants--La Mesa, Market Tavern, or Prime Table. The real issue is that your kitchen is ruining these high-quality ingredients. Perhaps you should try sampling them yourself to ensure better quality control. Additionally, before criticizing your customers online, I suggest you act with more professionalism. I regularly dine at your locations in Stockton and Dublin. While I do find your food overpriced and the service rather pretentious, that's not my main concern here. The real problem is your attitude. Next time I visit Market Tavern, I intend to address this with you in person and see if you live up to the online persona you project. Wishing you all the best in your role until then.
