We love location, which is Perfect and the interior was very nice. Our Combination Plate was delicious. The Tortillas were EXTRA LARGE and Freshly Made! Stephanie was a Welcome Delight and a Perfect Server. We haven't been here in over 20 years and we enjoyed the visit. I have ONE REQUEST THAT THE STRAWBERRY MARGARITAS HAVE A LITTLE MORE TEQUILA & Strawberry, please We will return.

Food was so horrible, so far worse Mexican food ever, meatballs soup taste like canned tomatoes, Chiles rellenos was no Chile relleno at all, los huevos rancheros a la chicana was the only thing we can eat and only because we where hungry.

Arroyo's is a stockton staple that i've never had the chance to try until today. my boyfriends family comes here often for family dinners so we stopped by together for brunch. I love the decorations and atmosphere. Weekends tend to be busier but we came on a weekday afternoon. the water view is beautiful and adds to the pizzazz when you're eating with someone. it's the service was very quick and attentive. our server was so sweet! the food was also very good I would say not as salty as I would like but really good nonetheless, we both got deep fried quesadillas (yummm) and a horchata. they start you off with chips and salsa, love love LOVE the salsa it was perfectly spicy. the prices are also super good for the amount of food you get and the quality along with the service, we'll be coming back often :D

I placed a phone order. It was ready in 10-15 minutes. I ordered a beef quesadilla lunch. It was about $12-13 which is not bad for a full plate. I enjoyed it. The lady at the register was nice and offered salsa.

I'd like to start by saying I thoroughly enjoy supporting local establishments. I would consider Arroyos a local Mexican restaurant that has been around for generations with a humble beginning. The food (5/5): I ordered the Chicken Enchilada Suiza. My partner ordered the Beef Enchiladas with their signature red meat sauce. I would say that what definitely gives this place 5 stars in food is the quality of the meat. The chicken in my enchiladas was very tender, large, juicy white meat. My partners beef enchiladas were incredible with huge chunks of beef with almost pot roast like texture that was very soft and juicy. Lastly I'd like to mention that the signature beef red sauce is wonderful. The shredded beef bits in the sauce are also of the same quality meat (NOT GROUND BEEF), also reminded me of pot roast like "chitlins". The service (5/5): Very friendly and attentive staff, we had an interaction with three female staff members and they were all wonderful and very pleasant people. Everyone was Very kind and greeted us with big smiles. I can tell the employees are happy and in their element. The food came out quickly, our drinks were never empty, and we were checked on at least four different times by staff. The ambiance (5/5), like your favorite local Mexican restaurant BUT BETTER, a phenomenal view of the lake with huge windows. For such a large establishment, it still felt cozy with the different levels and rooms with alternative seating. There is bar seating, diner seating, booths, tables. They could easily accommodate any group. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and I look forward to returning and supporting this restaurant and staff again.

Great location. View of the lake. Margaritas were delicious. Service was a little slow and the food came out warm and not hot. But still delicious.

Crunchy taco, enchiladas, & deer fried quesadilla

I feel bad to give 2 stars because the servers were really nice but the food was not good. This was probably the worst chile rellano I ever had, you can tell they don't make it fresh at all. The enchilada I ordered was dry and the meat in the crunchy taco was dry and bland. This is was my first time here.

Our table was right next to a metal utility rack they were using to store menus and cleaning products. That's fine, but my head was close to a spray bottle and a bottle of Lysol, which wasn't ideal. They were very busy, so we had high hopes for great food. Unfortunately, many of the items were bland. The beans and rice were especially underwhelming, with very little flavor--you can tell from the picture that the rice is basically plain white rice. My flautas were crunchy with fresh toppings, but the meat lacked flavor. My meal came with a bowl of fideo, but it wasn't delivered before my meal like it was for other tables. In fact, I had to ask for it after our food arrived, which makes me think I wouldn't have received it otherwise. After we finished eating, it took about 15 minutes to get our check. The servers were clearly very busy, but it would have been nice to leave sooner. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. The noise level was overwhelming, and the food was just okay. If I did return, I wouldn't order anything that comes with beans and rice.

The prickly pear margarita tasted more like a pink Jolly Rancher than anything else, which just wasn't for me. My fajitas were alright, but they came without any sour cream or guac and the pico was mainly onion. When I asked the waiter, he told me they don't come with it, even though the menu said otherwise. Without those, the fajitas ended up being really dry. I ended up just paying and getting ready to leave, but when I grabbed a menu again and asked about it, they apologized and offered me chips and salsa to go, which I appreciated. The staff was very nice throughout, but the whole experience felt a bit disorganized. Overall, it just didn't feel like a good value for the money, and I left pretty underwhelmed.

We came here on a whim last weekend, and OMG, I'm so glad we did. The restaurant is small and not in the greatest location, but the food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back! The tortilla chips are a mix of corn and flour, which was a nice surprise. Literally everything we ordered was so good! I went with the build-your-own combo plate and chose a cheese enchilada, beef taco, and beef flautas. My entire plate was delicious, including the rice and beans. The homemade tortillas were so fresh and tasty. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their food. We split the three-piece quesabirria tacos, and they were excellent. I chose the gravy cheese enchilada for my combo plate, but I also tried my partner's green chili chicken enchilada--both were great. You can choose between red, green, or gravy sauce for the enchiladas, and I definitely want to try the red next time. Don't be turned off by the unassuming storefront and corner location. I chose La Mesa because the first time we went I was very impressed with the delicious drinks and the short rib enchiladas. The atmosphere is so special and intimate whether you're on a date or with family. Both times we went, our servers were friendly and checked on us appropriately. Our server yesterday was handling making drinks at the bar and serving other tables that were there for Valentine's Day, but she still provided us with really good customer service (not sure of her name but she was wearing a pink shirt). We ordered a few drinks that included a strawberry horchata with rum, and a special one for Valentine's Day called the cupids kiss. They really stood out to me with how cute and yummy they were. For an appetizer, we ordered birria French fries. I was surprised that it had the consommé because I assumed it would make the fries soggy.... But it did not! They were AMAZING. The birria was tender and delicious, the flavor had a lot of depth in the consommé. For our entrees, we both cannot get enough of the short rib enchiladas with the mole sauce. They are our favorite. I really am just grateful that there is a restaurant like this that cares about the food they share with their customers. In the past, we ate at restaurants for my birthday where they didn't take as much pride or care about what they served. My birthday dinner at La Mesa felt very special to me and my boyfriend. Thanks a bunch we look forward to our return visit!

As for the crispy tacos, there's a big difference between tacos that are freshly and properly fried and those that are overcooked in rancid oil. Unfortunately, what I received fell into the latter category, which is simply unacceptable. The service was also lackluster and apathetic. ----------- Jeff Berretta, no one is questioning the quality of the products served at your restaurants--La Mesa, Market Tavern, or Prime Table. The real issue is that your kitchen is ruining these high-quality ingredients. Perhaps you should try sampling them yourself to ensure better quality control. Additionally, before criticizing your customers online, I suggest you act with more professionalism. I regularly dine at your locations in Stockton and Dublin. While I do find your food overpriced and the service rather pretentious, that's not my main concern here. The real problem is your attitude. Next time I visit Market Tavern, I intend to address this with you in person and see if you live up to the online persona you project. Wishing you all the best in your role until then.
