Mushroom enchiladas
Laura E.

Met some friends here for a late lunch yesterday (6/7/2025). One of my friends is a vegetarian and her mom recommended it because their menu has a vegetarian section. I got the mushroom enchiladas and my friends got the veggie and fish burritos. Though they weren't the same caliber as their counterpart at Sideboard in Lafayette, the mushroom enchiladas were very good. My friends enjoyed their burritos and one took theirs home as they were quite large. Only downside is that they seem to guard the bathroom - when I asked where it was, I was told there was a wait. While a wait isn't unusual, what was unusual was that they wouldn't let me go back to where the bathroom is and wait for someone to come out. Because the person i asked couldn't give me an estimated time of the wait, I decided to use it at the coffee shop we went to afterwards. Friendly service - our waters were filled regular and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I'd come back if in the area to try more items!

Crispy Taquitos

First time trying this place in a new town. I chose to sit outside in the sun since it was a lovely day out. The gentleman who waited on me was very kind and checked on me frequently. I am a sucker for flautas de papa and when I saw on the menu that they had potato enchiladas too, I was torn and didn't know which one to order. The server recommended the taquitos to me so I went with that. The order came with four and I was full off of two, very filling. Would definitely come back to try the potato enchiladas next time. I'm sure they're just as yummy. I also got their refreshing lemonade which paired nicely with the sun outside :)

My husband and I were looking for somewhere new to eat and found this place in downtown Pleasanton. The sign is a bit hidden but the store is located between Peet's coffee and Almare Gelato. There are a few tables in doors and some outdoor seating available as well. We ordered the chicken and shrimp enchiladas and mango habanero steak. The steak was definitely quite spicy but both dishes were delicious! Service was great and we enjoyed the casual dining atmosphere.

This place was very good. Easy to walk by it, and small inside, but great food and nice employees. Parking was pretty easy - just had to walk a block. We were seated right away, and had no wait. Their menu features a great variety with "healthier" options. Their dishes came with brown rice, black beans, etc Everything we had was delicious! *The asada fries came with Guac, red onion, sauces, and a good amount of meat! *my chicken and shrimp enchiladas were yummy and came in a creamy sauce. *the taquitos were crispy and delicious. Overall, great experience.

I've had this saved in my Yelp bookmarks for a WHILE, and finally... it was time to test out Wild One! Like other reviewers have mentioned, this is a healthy spin on Mexican cuisine... Very LA circa 2012 kind of vibes. We tried- Nachos (6/10): There is no cheese, which for me is okay (I'm just not a cheese girly), but for my dining partner that was an absolute violation of Nacho Law. I enjoyed the creama, pretty guac drizzle, and fresh veggies, however something with oomph was needed... either a spicy salsa or a whole ton of flavorful guac. I wouldn't order again. Carne Asada.... Fries??? (8/10): We ordered the carne asada fries, and I believe the carne asada plate was served (or else the fries just don't come with fries???) BUT, this was the shining star of the meal... sooo juicy, so flavorful- SO much flavor! Delicious! This is your must order. Camerones California (5/10): Nothing was bad, but nothing was great... Looking at another reviewers picture, I was hoping for blackened shrimp (in my opinion, the most underrated kind of shrimp). Instead, I received lightly grilled shrimp with no seasoning. The fresh veggies and brown rice were a healthy alternative to the tradition Mexican fare, but they were awfully bland. The salad on the side with a blue cheese dressing was the only flavor found in my plate, and I had to use it in my bites to bring my mouth some joy. Service (8/10): The young man who took care of us was very polite and genuine. He was completely overwhelmed to be solo with a party of 12 along with two other tables at the ripe time of 4pm, but him and the cook handled it as best as we could have hoped for. Ambiance (8/10): I would come back just for the patio! Cute tables spaced apart, just off the sidewalk... perfect for a romantic but semi-casual date night. Try the gelato place next door afterwards!

Never disappoints! So flavorful and fresh. The service is outstanding! Hidden gem for sure!

We recently tried this place for the first time for my mother-in-law's 82nd birthday and had a wonderful time. The service was attentive and excellent, the food was creatively designed, beautifully prepared and delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy a delightful summer evening together. Wild One was an unexpected treat and amazing experience all around. Thank you for helping to make this fun and memorable birthday for my wonderful mother-in-law.

Fantastic food, great flavors and fresh ingredients! The service is amazing, the gentleman who helped us was sweet, funny, and patient with our big group. The place is a cute little casual place right in downtown. Walkable to all the shops!

Located in Pleasanton downtown, ample space for indoor and outdoor seating. Went for a weekday lunch not crowded at all and it was a very quick service, I got the fajitas and my partner got the chicken plate - loved the spinach noodle cake Overall a decent place for a date

This was my first time here and the food was amazing. It took awhile to decide what to order, I opted for the Wild One Nachos. I love nachos and this didn't disappoint, loaded with beans, onions, sour cream, chicken, guacamole, pico de gallo, cotija cheese, and avocado sauce. The chicken was an add on and extra, I believe $3 extra. The nachos were tasty with a slight spicy kick. We had the popular red citrus sangria that wasn't too sweet. The food was delicious as well as the tasty refreshing cocktail. The service was prompt, friendly, the ambiance quiet and the restaurant small in space. Our server/host was prompt and pleasant.

Please disregard the marginal company...
Greg S.

Quick update....count the number of drinks in this photo. Would not keep ordering these Sangrias if they were not stellar! Of course the chow is too:)

Food, service & ambiance A++! Love dining @ Wild One Grill when in Pleasanton. Pair it with the house Pinot Gris. What's not to like?!

I had a coke with shrimp nachos. This establishment is unlike your typical Mexican restaurant. Our outdoor service was excellent. The server was very gracious and hospitable. The presentation of the entree was artistic and would be rated 5 stars! I asked our server if that was common across all entrees and he responded in the affirmative. They use quality ingredients. The nachos were not your typical ones you would fine but kind of a cleaner and aesthetically prettier variety. Think of it as appearing " high ended ". The dish was attractive looking. It would nice to come back and try something new.

I loved the jerk pork tacos! The pork was juicy, tender, and aromatic, and the mango-papaya salsa added a refreshing sweetness. I also tried the paella Oyo that my sister ordered which was sooo yummy and full of protein. The small size was more than enough! My mom ordered the oxtail stew which wasn't on their brunch/lunch menu (dinner only), but I really appreciate that they were accommodating to make that dish for her. I've never had oxtail and it was delicious--tender, perfectly sweet and savory, and paired well with the plantains. The other dishes that my family ordered were hits too (jerk pork shoulder and seafood paella). We also tried the ripe plantains pancake Oscar for a sweet treat. I love anything marshmallow, so the brûléed marshmallow cream that blanketed the pancakes was heavenly. It also came with a plantain on top and a few other fruits to balance out the sweetness. Overall, we left full and all around very satisfied. The staff showed us such warm hospitality and came around often to check on us, despite being an almost packed house. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere had a fun lively energy. With indoor and outdoor seating options, anywhere you get seated is a nice spot. The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

ok - so I'll preface this with what I mentioned in my original review, which is that this place has…read morethe best salsa and I love pairing the Dorito pinwheel things with the green jalapeño creamy salsa. Now it gets weird. They ALWAYS used to include a mini cup of each of the salsas in my delivery orders. Last four delivery orders, they stopped giving the green jalapeño salsa. So because I love it so much, I specifically order an 8oz tub of it. Guess what they delivered? Not the jalapeño salsa but rather their other green one which is a garlic salsa. Could've reported it and received a DoorDash refund, but i left it alone. The last two deliveries, they also did not include the dorito pinwheels like they always do, so I drive there to get 'em. Even gave them $5 for something free, bc ya know - just helping a business out and the owner guy is nice and was apologetic. Now today, I was in the area, so i stopped in for a taco, agua fresca, a large bag of those pinwheel doritos and an 8oz tub of the jalapeño salsa especially because the salsa bar was empty and the other orange one i like was not made well this time. So watery yuck. The girl taking orders didn't seem like she was well versed in punching orders into their system. Took awhile for her to enter those 4 items I ordered and needed to grab one of the other staff to help her, but whatever - still tipped her 18%. Then, why in the world would they finish up my order then tell me they're completely out of the jalapeño salsa and then ask if I want an 8oz tub of another salsa? So at this point, it seems they're trying to do the same thing as when i ordered this specific salsa for delivery and hope i'll be ok with something else, right? It also looked almost performative when the girl opened the cabinet under the salsa bar looking for more jalapeño salsa before she told me they were completely out. I respond with "that's the only salsa I wanted. I can wait while they make more. can they make more?" she says no. twice. I let her know that I wanted to be refunded for the salsa and bag of dorito pinwheels. All of a sudden they magically found more jalapeño salsa. All of this to say I'm now absolutely convinced the staff is trying to hoard this specific salsa for whatever reason. Like i said, it's delicious, but not a reason to freakin hoard it for yourself when that's a reason your customers come back. I'll also add that the quality of the food these last two times around was no bueno. The amount of lengua and garnish in my taco was just sad. Literally, the taco I ordered today is the same taco I have pictured in my original review, but then opened it up when i got home and looked nothing like it did before. I've recommended this place to my coworkers and now I take it back and it seems the other Yelpers agree that this is no longer the place we loved. Definitely taking a break from this place. To the owner - I think when you're not there, your team is unfortunately letting you down and giving your customers a different food experience then what you provide and are known for.

My wife said it was some of the best mole she's ever had, and now she won't go anywhere else. I always figure tacos are a good bellwether for how good a Mexican restaurant's food is going to be overall. Two Amigos' tacos are piled high with so much meat that it's hard to pick them up. I've had the pastor, carnitas, and carne asada, and they're all delicious. Their chimichangas are easily big enough to fill up two people; I usually eat half and take the other half home. Last night, I had a chimichanga with alambre, which is a meat option I'd never seen at a taqueria before. It's carne asada mixed with bacon, onions, bell peppers, and melted cheese, so I was intrigued, but I asked if they could make it with pastor instead of carne asada. No problem. Man, it was great, and big enough that I was stuffed to the gills and had plenty leftover for lunch today. Their salsas are outstanding. I especially love the orange one, which I assume is habanero even though it's not eye-wateringly hot. Great taste and respectable heat though. They also have a full bar with decent margaritas.
