Recently stopped by for some Mexican food. The menu has been updated as seen on the monitors. Also I notice some remodeling ie the salsa bar and drink station were moved. All good. Today I had the enchilada special plate that includes two enchiladas, rice & beans, drink and chips. I had a cheese and a chicken enchilada. I thought the chicken was on the dry side however I did enjoy the cheese one much more. It's also a nice environment to enjoy a meal. The big screen tvs were showing daytime talk shows. Food was brought over to my table in short time. Overall a nice meal.

My go to Mexican food spot. Right here in P-town. Not overly salty like some other places. Fresh and great portion size. Tastes very authentic and just like the food I grew up on. Unlimited chips and salsa.

Since we've moved to Pleasanton, this restaurant has become a staple in our household. Don't feel like cooking tonight? Street tacos it is! The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable, nice TVs if you want to watch a game, and tasty tacos and burritos. (And not to be underrated-a strong fountain soda situation) We love their street tacos and quesadillas, and the one California burrito I've had hit the spot! We are going back tonight, so I had update my obviously out of touch review

I went here with my hubby. We would say it's alright not bad but the Queso Birria Tacos had a lot of meat it's missing a lot of onions and cilantros, I would say Mexican food in Stockton is better then the bay. Service was good The store was clean and looks like a Mexican restaurant. Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Store: 5/5 Would I recommend: Depends on if you guys like something fast go here.

Al pastor and polo asado tacos

Came here with a large group of kids. Everyone ate mostly tacos and burritos. The seating and ordering experience was easy and the big tvs with sports kept everyone occupied. Service was quick for such a large group. The salsa bar is delicious even if average sized in diversity. They do get the avocado verde right with plenty of cilantro. There was a tilapia special which was also solid. Two minor criticisms: I've gotten the veggie burritos before (with no rice) and while quite filling, could use a greater diversity of veggies to stand out. I also tried a few basic tacos. The super taco some kids had did look super but the regular taco could have served the salsa on the side as it overpowered the polo asado that was a little too oily and not charred and al pastor which was also hard to distinguish in flavor. Just ended up tasting salsa and not the meat. Overall, probably the best taco spot in Pleasanton.

Okay so my husband & I went back to try their burrito and I got two quesabirria tacos. The tacos had no flavor and weren't hot and fresh. I had to add tons of salt. His burrito was also very bland and messy! I really wanted to like this place. It's unfortunate he couldn't even finish his food because of the flavor and the burrito was falling apart. We're pretty disappointed! Update: He got food poisoning from the shrimp. Was bed ridden all day today. Poor guy.

    Sope and Small Rice

Ordered delivery tonight and just wanted a light dinner so I ordered a sope with carnitas and a side of rice. The sope was very good! I would definitely order that again. The rice was good but seemed a bit overcooked/dry, but I did place my order a little after 8 so maybe it was just the bottom of the pan that's been sitting on warm all day. The salsas were also good! The three stars are because of the chips. They definitely accidentally sprayed the chips with cleaning spray or some chemical. The first couple tortilla chips at the top of the bag tasted normal but then the rest tasted like cleaner, like deep fried in dishwashing liquid. I would've called to let them know of this hazard, but they were already closed.

Decent Mexican restaurant. The chicken tortilla soup was big and had great flavors in it. Quesabirria was ok enough to satisfy my craving but I wished they serve at least two per serving. The loaded nachos were disappointing, lack of flavor and the overall topping combination weren't complimentary to each other. Overall is an ok option but is far from my standards of authentic Mexican food.

Met up a friend for dinner here. I was super surprised to find out there's a taco spot in Pleasanton that has lengua. Not a lot of places has lengua as a meat option, so very surprised to find one in Pleasanton. I just really wanted tacos, so I figured the best thing to do was a get a taco of every meat. I got the grill shrimp, lengua, carne asada, al pastor, and bbq chicken taco. The grilled shrimp taco was insanely good! They didn't overcook it, and it was very flavorful. I'd probably get 3 of those next time I come in. The lengua was good as well, still not close to the best lengua tacos I've ever had. But the much better than my expectations. Al pastor was good as well, I would pass on the chicken and carne next time. The chips and salsa were good as well, but I don't think it's unlimited chips though.

Al pastor super burrito with refried beans, carne asada super burrito
    Jessica D.

Fiesta taco is our go-to Doordash option when we want to stay in and order a reliable burrito. They're soft, filled well, and have the best salsas. I have ZERO complaints about their burritos. My favorite is the Al pastor super burrito with refried beans- make sure to get their green salsa (it's thick and well seasoned) and their tangy darker salsa as well. This isn't the cream of the crop, authentic hole in the wall taquerias you might find in Hayward/SoCal, but it's very good for the Tri-valley.

Saluted fish with your choice of tortilla. Usually ones with rice and beans but I've never been into this style of rice so I got all beans.

    Do they take credit cards?

    Yes!

Are the beans and tortillas made with lard? Looking for vegan options.

Do they sell their green salsa in bottles ? I just need that nothing else !!

not sure about bottles but they have the tub/bowl things that are like 4, 8, and/or 16 ounces with a lid, but i'm not sure how long that would stay good. i agree their green salsa is top tier!

How is the beef steak torta there, should I try it?

Yes! Everything on the menu is 👌🏻🙌🏻 sometimes they sell out of the tortas so you know it's 💣

ok - so I'll preface this with what I mentioned in my original review, which is that this place has…read morethe best salsa and I love pairing the Dorito pinwheel things with the green jalapeño creamy salsa. Now it gets weird. They ALWAYS used to include a mini cup of each of the salsas in my delivery orders. Last four delivery orders, they stopped giving the green jalapeño salsa. So because I love it so much, I specifically order an 8oz tub of it. Guess what they delivered? Not the jalapeño salsa but rather their other green one which is a garlic salsa. Could've reported it and received a DoorDash refund, but i left it alone. The last two deliveries, they also did not include the dorito pinwheels like they always do, so I drive there to get 'em. Even gave them $5 for something free, bc ya know - just helping a business out and the owner guy is nice and was apologetic. Now today, I was in the area, so i stopped in for a taco, agua fresca, a large bag of those pinwheel doritos and an 8oz tub of the jalapeño salsa especially because the salsa bar was empty and the other orange one i like was not made well this time. So watery yuck. The girl taking orders didn't seem like she was well versed in punching orders into their system. Took awhile for her to enter those 4 items I ordered and needed to grab one of the other staff to help her, but whatever - still tipped her 18%. Then, why in the world would they finish up my order then tell me they're completely out of the jalapeño salsa and then ask if I want an 8oz tub of another salsa? So at this point, it seems they're trying to do the same thing as when i ordered this specific salsa for delivery and hope i'll be ok with something else, right? It also looked almost performative when the girl opened the cabinet under the salsa bar looking for more jalapeño salsa before she told me they were completely out. I respond with "that's the only salsa I wanted. I can wait while they make more. can they make more?" she says no. twice. I let her know that I wanted to be refunded for the salsa and bag of dorito pinwheels. All of a sudden they magically found more jalapeño salsa. All of this to say I'm now absolutely convinced the staff is trying to hoard this specific salsa for whatever reason. Like i said, it's delicious, but not a reason to freakin hoard it for yourself when that's a reason your customers come back. I'll also add that the quality of the food these last two times around was no bueno. The amount of lengua and garnish in my taco was just sad. Literally, the taco I ordered today is the same taco I have pictured in my original review, but then opened it up when i got home and looked nothing like it did before. I've recommended this place to my coworkers and now I take it back and it seems the other Yelpers agree that this is no longer the place we loved. Definitely taking a break from this place. To the owner - I think when you're not there, your team is unfortunately letting you down and giving your customers a different food experience then what you provide and are known for.

She loves mole, saw that they had mole tacos on the menu, and asked if they had chicken mole enchiladas. The owner, who was working the counter, said, "No, but I'd be happy to make you some." My wife said it was some of the best mole she's ever had, and now she won't go anywhere else. I always figure tacos are a good bellwether for how good a Mexican restaurant's food is going to be overall. Two Amigos' tacos are piled high with so much meat that it's hard to pick them up. I've had the pastor, carnitas, and carne asada, and they're all delicious. Their chimichangas are easily big enough to fill up two people; I usually eat half and take the other half home. Last night, I had a chimichanga with alambre, which is a meat option I'd never seen at a taqueria before. It's carne asada mixed with bacon, onions, bell peppers, and melted cheese, so I was intrigued, but I asked if they could make it with pastor instead of carne asada. No problem. Man, it was great, and big enough that I was stuffed to the gills and had plenty leftover for lunch today. Their salsas are outstanding. I especially love the orange one, which I assume is habanero even though it's not eye-wateringly hot. Great taste and respectable heat though. They also have a full bar with decent margaritas. I lived in Texas for almost 30 years and have been in California for 15, so I know good Mexican food, and Two Amigos does NOT disappoint.
