We had gone here relatively consistently for a long time but haven't been back in a while. Decided to order from door dash and got two burritos, nachos and a side of beans and rice. After taking a couple bites of everything it was clear that the food was completely different. The carne asada burritos were ok but not great. However the nachos did not seem to have any flavor and were not appetizing at all. The side of beans was a little watery and the rice did not seem fresh. It was really disappointing considering we do not eat out a lot and we were both really looking forward to this meal. This may have just been a one off experience since we have eaten here so many times but we most likely will not be back. Tried a chicken taco salad again while visiting my parents near by, hoping for a better result. This time I ordered no outer flour tortilla bowl. But still no flavor, hardly any lettuce. Needless to say, I know what good Mexican food looks like. Fiesta Taco is conveniently located around the corner from my office and they provide some solid Mexican food offerings. Nothing about their food is "life changing" but it's solid. Flavors are good, service is there, convenience is there, and nothing about the place makes me uncomfortable. Food handling always seems to be very clean. With our current diet we don't come in here much, but Fiesta Taco is a staple to the community around it and I 10/10 recommend them if you're in the area and in the mood for some Mexican food. read more

This review is mainly for the Fiesta Quesadilla. Came here on a Sunday with a good-sized group of friends where the service was totally fine as they took our order. I ordered the fiesta quesadilla xl with carne asada. I love quesadillas, but when it arrived it looked very little like a quesadilla and much more like a burrito. I would have been fine except as I ate it, I noticed the lettuce, guac, pico were all on one side of the burrito while all the meat was on the other side which was only apparent to me after I had eaten the guac side first. Eating the full meat side afterwards was just no good. I asked my friends who had ordered quesadillas also, and they had the same experience. You know you're in an authentic Mexican restaurant when you see lengua and cabeza on the meat selection. The super burritos are always a good pick here as well as the super nachos. Everything is pretty reasonably priced. Plus they offer all you can eat chips and salsa if you dine in. The taqueria is tucked in the corner along with a bunch or random small businesses in the plaza. Parking is convenient and easy. If you're worried about COVID they have indoor and outdoor seatings. The Quesabirria was very good. There was chunks of meat in the soup and accompanied by pickled veggies. I also ordered 3 tacos - pork in verde sauce, carnitas and steak - which could have been really good, but someone was very heavy handed with the salt that day. When you add sauce and all the fixings, don't need to overdo the salt! I gave them four stars anyways since I did pick up and they gave me plenty of chips, lots of sauces (2 kinds), napkins and utensils. I hope it's less salty on my next visit. read more

This is a great hole-in-the-wall place to get Mexican food at in Pleasanton! There's plenty of parking in their lot, they have plenty of TV's that area showing a sports game, and I like their self-serve chips & salsa & fountain drinks. Being partly San Diegan and growing up in ESSJ for part of my life I KNOOOOOW my Mexican food. We have relatives who have married into Mexican families and of course I've eaten at my Mexican friends homes. This taqueria is soooo good! I've tried all of the meats and will happily pull up a seat for their whole menu. Over the weekend I had a quesabirria and small shrimp quesadilla and they don't skimp on the shrimp. Another hidden gem is the chicken tortilla soup. Some people like pho when they're sick or hungover I want tortilla soup and they make me feel like there's an abuelita in the back making my caldo and blessing it before it gets served. Im from SoCal and super picky about my Mexican food. This is the only place I have found up here worth a return visit. The food is always hot and tasty. Workers are always so nice and pleasant. Keeping it as always, after looking through the reviews, I had mixed feelings, but I took one suggestion (I don't live around here) and got the shrimp ranchero burrito. While waiting, they gave us a basket of chips EACH (four of us in our lil Mexican family) and they were really good! Tasted fresh and just the right amount of salt and grease. I couldn't get enough. Self-serve salsa bar - the green salsa was good, and the "lava heat" (warning labeled) actually had great flavor! I loved the lava heat, even though it wasn't really lava-level heat in my opinion, but it did have a kick that settled in later, and the flavor was actually great! The burrito was hefty, loaded, and HOT (fresh). The shrimp was EXCELLENT. The grilled onions and jalapeños were perfectly cooked. And everything else was great. The shrimp was only missing lime, but the salsa bar included unlimited lemon! With the added salsas, it was definitely worth it, although I wish I would have gotten a different meat that had more flavor. I tried my sisters ranchero burrito (with carne) and it was pretty great - fatty as others are saying, but still great! My sister's pretty picky with meat, and she devoured it. My tía got a vegetarian wet burrito (she's vegetarian), and she forgot to ask for refried beans instead of pinto, and they replaced it, no extra charge! Very chill, great service! The place was clean (restroom too!) and the decor was pretty nice/cute. We were all very satisfied, with service and all! Love it!! The people are very friendly. The place is nice. Unlimited salsa bar, and free chips on request. The super burrito and super quesadilla is good, and a good portion size. I highly recommend the green salsa. I personally don't really like the other salsas but I really like the green one and solely consume that from the salsa bar. All my friends from Pleasanton (such as coworkers from Santa Rita and Rosewood area, people from Amador Valley or Foothill area, even Dublin, etc) know this place. One of my favorite Mexican places for a shrimp burrito!! I come here about once a month for their regular shrimp burrito (I can't remember exactly the price but I think it's $15). It's always fresh, delicious and piping hot. They give plenty of large shrimps and the Mexican rice is always nicely flavored. They have also really homemade tortilla chips and salsa.
