Today I went to go with my wife to watch game one of the World Series we were greeted kindly by our server named Derrick or Eric (last name banks). It very quickly turned into an uncomfortable and awkward experience as he subtly joked about spitting in our food. Not only did this comment leave us uneasy but after my wife had one drink he told us he'd have to cut us off because my wife's cheeks looked red. (Implying she was drunk, but really it was her makeup.) After this the harassment only continued with our server and now manager constantly asking us if we needed an uber and if we were capable of driving ourselves home after my wife had 1 drink and I had 3. Which my wife was already driving. We had both gotten off a long shift at our jobs and came to chilies to unwind and enjoy the World Series game. It's very disappointing that all we get is harassed and guilt tripped for enjoying a drink or 2. After confronting the situation with the server he was very inappropriate and dismissive, not even giving an apology for his actions. Not only did he disrespect us but he never picked up our dishes and cups when we were done to ensure we had enough space for our plates and dessert to come, since we had a very tiny table by the bar. It got so cluttered my wife had to ask another worker if she could help us declutter our table. We had about the experience you would expect at a chilis. We sat in the bar area which wasn't crowded and I have no complaints on the service. We usually get the chicken and waffles and we're disappointed to see they are no longer on the menu. We didn't ask about them so maybe they are still available off the menu but we didn't asked. We had the appetizer trio with the mozzarella sticks, big mouth bites, and the honey chipotle chicken crispers. Everything was good on this appetizer. The big mouth bites were great, we ended up ordering an entree of these mini burgers. The mozzarella sticks were great, they were bigger than expected and the breading was seasoned pretty well. The chicken crispers were okay, I was hoping they would suffice without the chicken and waffles but I was wrong on that note. We also had presidente margaritas. They were good, I had mine as a strawberry margarita. After I ordered I saw the deep eddy spiked strawberry lemonade which sounded really good so I'll have to try that next time. read more

I am new to the Katy area, but I have been to many other chili's location before. All of my experiences at other locations of this franchise made me never want to step foot in the door again. My boyfriend convinced me to try this one because "everything is better in Texas". I had a wonderful time from the moment I was seated to I walked out to the door. My server was kind and attentive. She put me on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up and called again, upon the second call someone picked up and hung up immediately and I called back a third time where a new lady answered and gave the phone back to Liz. Ordered carryout tonight. One of the orders a Triple Dipper. The Original Chicken Crispers were ice cold, dry and stringy, and the batter rock hard. The Southwestern eggrolls were frigid and just soaked in grease. Both inedible. You can tell they had just been sitting around for hours. Since we weren't eating in the restaurant, they probably just gave us the crap. This place has gotten progressively worse over the years, and they just DO NOT CARE. I told him we were ready to order as well. Food came and one order was wrong so he had to take it back and fix it. My Water was not refilled at all during our time there and the service in general was very slow and lacking. We asked him to split the check and he asked how so we said 50/50-down the middle. He brought the check back with an uneven amount and then a check for my 8 year old daughter so three checks that weren't even split 50/50. We asked him to fix it and again explained 50/50 for the check. It took several minutes and he brought back two checks and they still weren't split 50/50. We did not take time to try again. I came on a Wednesday night. The go-to place for me is the bar any time I go to a Chili's. I was planning on a late dinner and a libation or two. I am always content with a semi-clean bar and an attentive bar tender. This place had neither... The entire bar top was sticky. Not just my section, the entire bar top =/ The hostess started spraying some sort of "polishing" spray to make it better; this made it worse. The gentleman next to me had napkins assembled on the bar top so he can rest his arms because it was so sticky; that was funny. The stickiness of bar tops do not usually bother me because I understand it can get busy but, this was extremely sticky! When the gentleman next to me signed his credit card receipt, he had to peel it off of the bar top and we both laughed. It took 10 minutes for the bartender to get to me with a total of 3 people at the bar; not entirely his fault because it looked like he had to take care of the tabletops in the bar area as well, but there were only 2 tables... Once he got to me he was a nice person and had a good attitude. I ordered a drink; it took awhile for the drink as well. After this, I decided I was not going to dine here tonight. I drank my libation, asked to close my tab, waited 5 minutes for my bill, waited another 10 minutes to pay with my card, waited 5 more minutes to get my card back, signed my receipt, and got out of there. I always want to like chilis because they're everywhere and they seem like they want to do well but they just never can cut it. Service at the bar was friendly but a little slow- he was swamped at the service well. Definitely a staffing problem and not the bartenders fault. People waiting for a table were also trying to get drinks so it was a little hectic but the bartender kept a kind demeanor- even with some rude customers at the end of the bar. Food was not good. My order had to be sent back 3 times and by then the veggie burger was smashed to pieces, the fries were cold and requested avocado was missing. The bartender asked a server to fetch it from the kitchen and he brought out my 3 slices of avocado *on a dirty plate* all the while reminding the bartender he needed to ring it up (which he already had). There needs to be a proper expo to make sure this food is going out correct and on time. Prebusing was also non-existent. Closing people's tabs out when their dirty dishes are in front of them is a no no. Even at Chili's. My fiancé waited on my food to come out to start eating so his was cold too by the time we got tired of trying to get what I asked for. No apology from management- no attempts to make it right. I don't expect freebies but if you mess up more than once at least drop by and say sorry. To add insult to injury we ordered two rounds of beer during happy hour only to not have the second round rung up on time - considering the non-happy hour price was only $.89 more we were more upset about the fact that the happy hour price was basically a lie. No paper towels in the restroom, sticky floor, water all over the counters, trash on the floor, and the straight open view to the kitchen- servers handling Tortilla chips with their bare hands. Cooks with no gloves handling dishes and wiping their hands on a rag instead of washing them in a sink. Needless to say- not coming back.... even for $.89 off at happy hour. read more

Tonight we got the steaks, with salads (1 house, 1 Caesar), and the croutons were HORRIBLE! They were hard, but the surface was gummy. Wife and I both repulsed. We order Chili's take-out once or twice a month. Sometimes through SpeedyFood.net and sometimes for me to pick up. Frankly, I would give them a 50/50 rating. Some foods are delicious. Oftentimes, not so much. Tonight, for example. Ordered Baked Potato Soup. I've seen runnier mashed potatoes. The flavor is alright but we honestly received baked potato paste. This is a dish my wife and I love but it is never consistent - tonight we got wall-paper glue. Other nights we've gotten runny (with a few chunks of potatoes) dishwater-looking soup. Also tonight, we both ordered Cajun Chicken Pasta. My wife had hers without tomato and green onion. We did not have the same amount of pasta nor chicken! Mine was incredibly oily. Two dishes of the same order should not be incredibly different! Overall, the consistency of this Chili's is the issue. Very very hit or miss. read more

This was the worst experience I've had at a chili's. The customer service was appalling, there were employees dusting the lighting fixtures right next to our table. Probably not the best idea to spread dust around our food and drinks. Some employees gathered around there as well putting up glasses and gossiping loudly next to us. There is such a lack of professionalism with every staff member that was around us. I ordered a steak that was supposed to be medium rare and it was absolutely rare and the mashed potatoes were full of lumps.
