Chili's is one of our regular go-tos for lunch and dinner. The Kapolei location is great, they continue to provide exceptional customer service with a range in options for the menu. Some of the must haves include their homemade chips and salsa which I would like to add are bottomless, keep the refills coming! The triple dipper is recommended if you are indecisive like me because it will give you a little bit of everything. Or the flatbread pizza, a perfectly sized appetizer to share! They are currently offering really great combo options with a 2 for $25 menu, make your combo and it comes with an appetizer and dessert to share. This may have been the start of a really bad review but one waitress really made the experience great. I originally wanted to order the spicy shrimp tacos only to find out that they were out of shrimp. So I ordered the mushroom and chicken fajitas but they were out of mushrooms. I asked about the brisket and they were out of that too. The night was starting to really suck...I had no idea what I was going to eat. Everything I wanted either had shrimp or mushrooms. I reluctantly ordered the chicken tacos and hoped to feel satisfied. Thankfully I can't eat rice, because they were out of that too. Our server was very apologetic. When my order came, I was pleasantly surprised. At the end of our meal, our server was so nice, she gave us a complimentary dessert with our meal because they were out of so many of their menu items. Stopped in on a Sunday night. It was busy but we had 6 minute wait. Staff friendly smiling from time we entered to time we left. Nice and cool inside. I like to eat in the comfort of cool air. The food was good, the service is as expected. Bathrooms were clean just a little messy with the paper towels but nothing major. Great place for Sunday morning football, great atmosphere. Revamped breakfast menu that is kid friendly too. They take care to get you your food quick and let you enjoy the game with minimal disturbance, but always checking to see if you need anything. Came here with my Red Hat group- 20 of us. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Sadly, I can no longer eat spicy foods, but I was able to eat a Cesar salad, asparagus and "street" corn. This review is entitled, "Hawaiian Time" I hate writing bad reviews. I think it is a waste of my time and oftentimes I can't be constructive because I am so disappointed. On a lazy Labor Day 2012, I went out to search for the next hot spot for a UYE on the west side. I was starving at 2pm and Chili's has a happy hour starting at 2:30pm. They also accept the ID Card ($5 off bill totaling $25 or more). Server takes 10-15 minutes to come to our table and take a drink order. We put in a drink order for 2:30 since its 2:20. The time comes and goes, 2:45 rolls around, still nothing. Finally at 2:50 he comes back and brings the drinks. So I finally put in our food order, all pupus, doesn't come out till 3:30pm. I end up spending almost three hours at a Chili's for a drink, triple dipper, and texas cheese fries. Fix up your service and bring the food out when it's hot. Pretty easy formula. I expect some degree of consistency from a chain restaurant and it's terribly disappointing when they don't deliver since everything is by the book. Truth be told, I could have walked over to another chain (name is the opposite of Infront) in Kapolei, ordered drinks, got cheese fries, and another pupu, ate it, walked back to Chili's and still not get my order. Hashtag, notagoodsign At least the manager came around "half-way through" the meal and asked how we were doing. Luckily, we had finally gotten our food and fortunate for him since we were too busy shoveling pupus into our mouths to mitch and boan about the wonderfully on-par service bestowed upon us. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Could have driven to Nalo farms for potatoes, went to naked cow dairy for some cheese, went to Sam's club for bacon, picked some fresh grunions from a veggie gahhhhden and made my own cheese fries before our order was taken. Love this chili's. Definitely my go to. To go is speedy, it does get packed so the wait time for in restaurant dining can be long. But they're reasonable. Sometimes there is live music. There definitely was when I last dined there with my family. The waitresses are so friendly and outgoing. Unfortunately, I do not remember my latest waitresses' name. But she was soooo good!!! The only thing is that sometimes they run out of popular menu items like some of the desserts. But they replenish on their supplies within an hour or so. read more

This is perhaps the worst service I have had on the entire island. The first time I went here with my dad and getting seated took no time at all but first impressions are clearly not a good determinant of how the service will be. After getting seated, we waited about 10 minutes (I'm not exaggerating) before having to flag down a waiter to take our order as no one even came along to serve us water our take orders for drinks yet. Following this, the service slightly sped up and another waiter came along to take our order for our meal. The meal, as well, took much too long to come out and the food was mediocre at best. Now after such poor service you'd think we should have learned our lesson to not return, but the restaurant is so close to our home that after seeing it everyday, we decided to return. This time, we got seated quite immediately but again, we had to flag down a waiter but were met with a "Oh, I'll go find your waiter" instead of taking our orders immediately after a 10 minute wait. We waited 10 more minutes before getting up and leaving and walking over to McDonald's across the parking lot. Summary: The service makes it unbearable to even think of going to this Chili's. read more

My free molten chocolate e-coupon was the reason behind last night's visit since it was expiring, so we gave it a shot. Drove, checked-in, and waited a ravening 30 mins (although we were told half less of the actual and they weren't even slammed). No big deal. We're about to get seated anyway as our pager lit. The hostess weirdly asked if we mind seating in a booth (of course!) close to the bar (okayyy, so?). Odd question, but time to order--finally! Our server out of nowhere came in to the scene with water after arriving in a flash. Speedy, we thought. Order up: we requested our dessert first to be followed with our meal. I got the 3 pork tacos while my sister uncertainly settled to triple dipper consisted of boneless wings, fried cheese, and fries. Mine was tasty enough I finished it quick. My sister's meal on the other hand was disappointing since the fried cheese was too dry and unappetizing! Tasted very ready made to be conveniently thrown in the micro for a quick dish. She complained and the server plainly agreed. It was immediately replaced with mini burgers, but craving was long gone after all the cues--impersonal customer service (she carelessly placed the burgers at the edge of the table just as "here ya go" w/o an inch of sympathy like it's a common happening), lame food presentation, and the overall experience. Our drinks weren't even refilled after all the back and forth walking she did. We didn't exist after it. Her loss! I can go on and on, but true genius is knowing when to stop. That perhaps cleared the impression we had with the hostess's question. The 3 stars was actually based on my previous dine-ins so you can say I'm being decent, but the recent experience is just two stars! read more

Classic place to come. Love how they gave us free queso and chips for checking in, that's my jam. The wait was not bad, about 20mins to get in. I thought it was cool how they offered a bean bag game to help pass the time. The place itself is huge so they have plenty of different areas to sit in and they can accommodate bigger parties which is great. Must be a big birthday hit as we heard happy birthday sang three times during our meal. The menu is huge! It's awesome because there are plenty of options but it can also be a bit overwhelming. The prices are pretty decent too which is always great. They have little iPad type things that kids can play games on which I guess can be pretty cool, but, if you don't know about it and your kid gets into it they can rack up a bill super fast with out the parent knowing as it automatically gets added to the bill. There should be some kind of math question or something that the kid needs to do that's hard to unlock it or to verify they get permission from the parent to avoid an issue I think. Thankfully we caught our nephew after he just started one game and our waitress was super great about understanding then taking it off. All and all it was a great time and we will probably be back again for big birthday or dinner. read more
