Steak plate with shrimp and rice $20.25
Eliana R.

I'm terribly disappointed in the portion sizes that Onos gives now. This review has been sitting in my drafts for a while now, but I've finally decided to post it. Service was alright. Kinda sucked that the drinks fountain wasn't working, but they gave us a canned drink instead so at least that made up for it. Our large steak plates came only half way full, with 1 scoop of rice, and barely dressed salad. I paid almost $20 a plate that wasn't even full unfortunately. Steak was meh, quality has definitely dropped over the years. I shouldn't be paying an upwards of $60 and everyone's still hungry. Positives: Workers are nice, I appreciate the condiment bar, and a good amount of seating options for a to-go plate establishment. Cons: Flavor isn't up to par, portion sizes, and price. For me, the cons outweigh the pros unfortunately, so I probably won't be back, which makes me so sad because I used to love this place.

The first time I tried this place the steak was too salty as if the cook seasoned the steak 3x. Today I wanted to give it another try and boy I regret it. The lady that helped us was so nice and welcoming and we got our food under 10 minutes. As soon as I took the first bite of steak I instantly regretted giving this place another try. The steak was so salty and the rice was mushy. I ordered my steak medium but got well done. The only good thing good about the plate was the greens.

7oz steak plate, medium, little too much dressing.

Came here on a weekday after the lunch rush about 2pm. Parking is still crowded in this corner but more parking available on the other side. I got the 7oz steak plate with salad and thousand island dressing. This steak was very delicious! Superrr tender and yummy grilled flavor. Double scoop rice and double salad, ate the whole thing! Only thing was there didn't seem t be any trash can inside where we ate so we walked out to throw it away and the outside trash was super full with similar plates too. Had to walk down to another outside trash can.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I already noticed that the owners must have full confidence in their ability to cook because the ground, seats, AND table was dirty, crusty and filled with sand and grime. Nothing but disappointment fills my heart. My beloved food chain that I remember being filled with love and joy as a kid, being dragged through the mud and butchered in the street. Now let's get onto the food, during the very rare times there wasn't sand in my food, the bites taken were mediocre anyways. When asked for more sauce, we were met with the strange demeanor of the cashier telling us sauces were extra on the bill. The sauces in question were the size of 3 penny's stacked on top of each other. When you are paying $80+ for a meal, I would expect at least more than one sauce for our meals! Horrible experience, would not recommend for families or going alone.

Customer service could have been better. First time there. Asked her if they put the dressing on the toss salad already or if it's separate. Her response, we don't put it on the side unless you tell us. I was like, okay...that's why I asked... Asked for Mac salad for one of the plates. She said we don't have Mac salad and we never did. I was like, did I offend her?? Asked for all my steaks to be med rare. All was cooked thru. One my plates had the dressing on and not on the side. Wilted and soggy. My salmon was overcooked. Ugh.... Is all I can say. I got 4 plates. So disappointed. I paid almost $90.

Very happy with our meal here. Good food and decent portions. I wish there had been a macaroni salad option, but the salad was fresh seeming and all the meat was seasoned well, so no complaints there. The staff was very friendly and helped us with all our questions and pick up.

1st time trying this place and it was just alright. The best thing was the steak. We ordered medium and as you can see it's definitely well done. Even though it wasn't cooked properly the player was good and the steak was soft. The shrimp was cooked well but tasted more salty than anything. The fried noodles tasted like fish. I think it had too much fish cake. The chicken tasted nothing like teriyaki and was kinda dry. We spent over $43 for these 3 items which I think is absurd! Not worth the price for the amount of food in my opinion. We ordered both plates with all rice instead of the toss salad and rice. They did not skimp on the rice, lol. I don't know if I'd go back but if I do I'd order just steak bu the lb if possible.

We like going here when we just want a simple plate lunch dinner. Exactly like their name says they are known for their steak and shrimp. They do serve other items like fish but I always stick the with the classic combo. It's consistent and priced reasonably compared to other places. They offer sauces on the side to dip your steak in and I always get the finadene sauce. The shrimp is super garlicky which I love and the steak is soft and seasoned perfectly. They have indoor seating and a couple tables outside as well. I've always had good & quick service when going here.

Burnt Steak Plate

Burnt. Asked for Medium cook and got brick like steak. Spent $60 on 2 steak plates and 1 small noodles. Called and asked for a manager. About 15 min later I got a call from the manager saying that they are sorry but if I want a new plate that I can go back and return a full plate untouched & thats all she could offer. I mean $60!! And nothing. I sent proof. I will not be returning. Check y'alls plates before you leave with a plate of disappointment.

The booking was very straightforward, they don't charge a space rental fee as long as your party spends at least $1000 on food and drinks altogether. It doesn't have to be on one check, as long as it all adds up. We were able to decorate the area a bit for the party. Of course if you plan on partying here be wary of making too much of a mess or damaging things. Kiki then helped me preorder all the food for the party, and she also assisted with the surprise. Ashley was our server for the night and she did amazing! I was bothering her and Kiki and asking them questions all night and they were so nice and patient the entire time. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, it was as if they were family friends :) the speed of service was great too. I know we put the bartenders to WERK but the drinks still came out in such a timely manner. Finally, the food and drinks were BOMB. I've only been here a couple times before this, so I got to try a lot of items i haven't before at the party. Everyone was raving about the food! So many people who haven't been to DB grill before said they found their new spot. And if you like to drink, they have something for everyone. My grandma kept asking for more soju cocktails . The only thing I would warn about is that the AC is poppin upstairs, so bring a jacket. I would give 10 stars if I could. We love the DB grill crew!!!

**DB Grill was a mixed experience for a get-together with friends.**…read more The food was actually pretty good overall. We tried the wings and poke nachos, and both were solid. The portions were good, the prices were decent, and it's the type of menu that works well for sharing with a group. Service was okay. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were efficient. Parking was good, and the overall vibe was chill, though it did get a bit noisy. The biggest issue was the condition of the restaurant. The place felt pretty run down. The floors were very dirty, the seats were torn and patched with electrical tape, and the windows were so dirty that we actually thought the restaurant had shut down one day when we were walking by. The bathrooms were also pretty gross, even for a casual bar/restaurant. I wanted to like it more because the food itself was good, but the cleanliness and upkeep really took away from the experience. They definitely need to do a better job maintaining the place. I'd probably only return if I heard they had cleaned up and refreshed the entire restaurant.

While I would have chosen the Mina Fish House Experience (prix fixe $125), the experience requires full table participation. Instead, our party opted for à la carte ordering served family-style. Here's what we had: Ono amuse buche House Flatbread Broiled Spanish Octopus Ono Tataki - a favorite served with a vinaigrette truffle sauce Prime Beef Lettuce Cups Charred Broccolini Garlic Duck Fat Fries Kona Kanpachi (whole fish) char-grilled Ahi Katsu Curry NY Strip 14oz (for our non-fish eating friend) Potato and Leek Soup with poached lobster (for our non-fish eating friend) Although the food was A+, we took exception to the NY Strip because it was dry, gristly, and not cooked to order. However, when we brought it up to our server, she without question had it immediately removed and ordered another one. After trying the second one, the meat tasted like it should and the vegetables were even better than the first one. For drinks: Liquid Sunshine Mai Tai Piña Colada Pickleback Paradise - mocktail For the best deal, the Mai Tai is your best bet because it's larger than most drinks, has a good amount of alcohol, and tasty. Liquid Sunshine also had a good amount of alcohol. Our Pickleback Paradise drinker liked his drink so much he ordered two. Surprisingly, the Piña Colada wasn't up to par as it was grainy and not fully mixed. We should have returned it, but didn't. For dessert: Malasadas with ice cream Ube Cheesecake Additionally, each couple received a complimentary piece of chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversaries During our meal, service was attentive and personable and the atmosphere was enhanced by the live music which made for a lovely celebratory dinner.

Shrimp fried rice- I was really excited to try this and I was really hoping that it would be excellent and it was OK. The shrimp was cooked well and the fried rice just felt like it needed some more butter and it was lacking some of the things that make fried rice, fried rice like a fried egg so overall not my favorite dish. The gluten-free menu was pretty limited on options for me to try so I would probably go to somewhere else to try and get fried rice in the future.

For our wedding we had the kalbi shortribs, garlic shrimp, and huli huli chicken for our mains. Our salad was the one with the warm bacon dressing (OMG DELICIOUS), and we also had truffle mashed potatoes, a ratatouille, rice and i think 3 appetizers. It was ALL so good.
