My first time here and thought it was great. I didn't think the skewer would fill me up but it was very filling. I do suggest getting the plate because rice is life. lol! The workers were so friendly and patient. The dining area was clean and spacious.

Finally had lunch at the Don Don Donki Kapolei food court! I've been hesitant ordering any hot food from the food court from looking at the "mid" Yelp ratings, but hubby was craving Wagyu Kushi after trying it once. This spot has its own bar seating, but if you don't want to smell like meat, you can sit at the general food court area, or take the food to-go. Things to keep in mind, which my hubby downplayed: - Maybe not the best place to go if you're in a rush. We waited 15 minutes for our steak and wagyu kushi plates lunches. Plate lunches are made to order. It's no wonder I always see lines here. I imagine it would be a nightmare coming her during the lunch rush. - Run away from the mac salad! One bite made me lose my appetite for a few minutes. I don't normally say this, but I could not finish the mac salad, and neither could my husband. My husband isn't a picky eater, but dislikes mac salad with too much mayo! I'd prefer if they cooked their mac more al dente and lightened the amount of mayo. I'm also hoping tossed salad would be an alternative to mac salad! I do appreciate the very subtle hints of wasabi on the meats, and I liked the meats and value of the plates more than Teppanyaki Farmer in Ala Moana. As I get older and eat less red meat, I find it harder to finish steak plates, especially when there's not a lot of vegetables. I thought the romaine lettuce under the meats was a nice touch. This was still a worthwhile visit as it curbed my hubby's craving (I choose the food spots 90% of the time!), and I can say I finally tried hot food at the Don Don Donki food court. Adding a fourth star for a happy hubby, some leftovers minus the mac salad, and because I apparently gave Teppanyaki Farmer four stars years ago.

Wagyu beef isn't just for the fancy expensive restaurants. At this little stall in the DonDon Donki, Wagyu Kisha is quick and delicious for a reasonable price. The skewers I had were tasty and worth the price. The miso soup is passable and the Mac salad is ok. But we're here for the beef and it's was yummy! The staff is friendly and helpful when you want to ask questions. If you want to, you can sit right at the bar and watch them prep your food if you are so inclined.

Went to Donki to get ingredients to make lunch and really wanted to try the wagyu skewers every since they opened so I ordered two at the counter. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. First bite of the wagyu skewer was mid. The sauce saves it a little bit but in general for the price and quality you think you're going to get is not there. Filled with fat and I usually like a good mix of fat and meat in my food but I had to spit the fat out. I thought the meat would've tasted tender considering it was "wagyu" but it just tasted like thin brisket stacked on a stick. It was an experience to try it but will be my last.

Located in Don Don Donki food court Kapolei. A deal! $15.89 for a steak plate! The cut was tender, moist, and seasoned well (peppery and garlicky) . A side of sweet sauce was included but I ate it without it. The meal included steam white rice w Furikake and grilled and seasoned romaine lettuce heart. So delicious. The food court has ample seating for the food court vendors as well as store purchased items. Will be back again!!!

I tried Wagyu Kushi when we went to a Don Don Donki in Singapore and remember liking it. So when I saw it at this location, I wanted to try it here. We only got the skewers (2 for $12.99). We waited maybe about 10 minutes. The person cooking was just churning them out because it seemed like there were a lot of lunch orders since it was prime lunchtime. I liked the little sauce it came with - it had a lot of umami. It's best eaten immediately while still hot since it's pretty fatty, and cold fatty/oily foods are pretty gross. Would definitely get some more skewers next time I come back!

[Location] This WagyuKushi is located inside Don Donki's food court in Kapolei. Restrooms available. Plenty of seating indoors. [Food] The wagyu mushiness delicious! Tender, well cooked and perfectly seasoned. It comes with a sweet garlic dipping shoyu/teriyaki. Two skewers is about $13. Not super cheap but fair enough. Plate lunch may be more worth it! [Customer Service] The staff were nice! I think they need a better pick-up system. It seems to be difficult for staff to call the attention of customers by name. Maybe a pager or number system?

A little on the fatty side but tasty and satisfying. Got the 5 skewer pack for around $30. Not something I would get every day but it's a nice treat to get good meat sometimes. Food court seating area was clean. Cashier was friendly.

There was no line at 1pm so I got my steak skewers quickly. Prompt and courteous cashier. The skewers are really great since its the meat is already sliced and slides off easily from the stick.

Located in the Don Don Donki Kapolei food court, Wagyu Kushi was one of only three open eating places when we stopped by (June 2025). It specializes in wagyu beef and only has really 2 items on its menu - wagyu beef steak and wagyu beef skewers. The skewers can be bought ala carte but the $15.99 lunch special plate is the better option, adding mac salad, rice with furikake, and a roasted romaine heart. The steak was unfortunately cooked well done by default but was still tender. It's not A5 for this price but definitely isn't cheap steak. The skewers use a different cut of tinner meat stacked up but was also tasty. There is a lengthy wait as the cook prepares each steak to order but, for this price, you can't really beat it.

Located in Don Don Donki in Kapolei. Came here late one night with my boyfriend. We both ordered the steak plate (medium rare). The portion of the plate was fair, however, the temperature of the steak was not medium rare. It was well done. The food overall was great because we were surprised about how the veggies were also seasoned. The service was quick and easy since there was no line. There are lots of tables to eat at. This is a good option for a quick protein fix, however just be aware that the temp of your steak may not be what you're looking for.

When heading out checkout with your great finds & groceries you'll pass all the food places offered. This place turns heads and has people stopping to figure out what that yummy smell is. I witnessed about 10 people stop, look at the menu & end up ordering while waiting for my food. The line to order was short, the longest part was waiting for your order. It took close to 15 minutes for my order to come out. The skewers were really good, flavorful & cooked tender. I don't care for the dipping sauce offered. If you're into a wasabi ginger dipping sauce then definitely try. Two skewers were $13 after tax & honestly for $2 more I'd get the place next time since it comes with rice and other sides. Would definitely come back!

Heard the hype and had to find out what it was about. Wagyu Kushi located in the Kapolei Don Donki Market. One of just a couple of vendors that were still open after 7 pm. We tried the Skewer plate. 2 skewers over Romaine Lettuce, good quality rice with Furikake, and Mac salad. Meat was cut into small layers and served with a garlic dipping sauce. Loved the idea to put the skewers on Romaine lettuce it cooked the lettuce slightly and flavored it with the juices from the skewers. Service was good. Friendly and knowledgeable. Food is cooked fresh as you order it.

Wagyu? All-you-can-eat? Count me in! As big fans of Shabuya,…read morewe were intrigued at the idea of higher end hot pot at a higher end price. AYCE hot pot just warms the soul in a different way, and adding in some of the richest, fattiest cuts of meat? How can you go wrong! For a two birthday celebration, we called ahead of time to reserve a table for six. I had to call a day before our visit to reduce the head count and they were more than accommodating. When we arrived early, they seated us right away, and came around quite often to take orders. There's a 90 minute time limit, but after 90 minutes our server said oh you have 30 more if you'd like. Top notch service all around. Gyu Masu melds right into the architecture of Hilton Embassy Suites, adopting the contemporary elegance of modern hotel styling. It's very clean and quiet. The AC was a little strong, but I can imagine it would be a refreshing escape from hotter Kapolei nights. The little table got pretty tight with a full shabu shabu setup, so make sure you stack up your empty plates for service. Street parking is pretty easy out front, or find the second floor marked stalls behind the hotel. There were seven cuts of wagyu to try, and you can order four at a time. The cuts are much thicker than other hot pot places, which we loved. Here's what we thought: - Top Sirloin Butt - Had a fat line that tensed up and got noticeably tough compared to other cuts. Decent flavor. - Top Round - My favorite, perfect balance of marbling and flavor. - Short Plate - Thick fat cut that was just way too fatty for us. - Short Rib - Wow, very distinct flavor and great marbling that was an overall favorite. - Outside Skirt - Similar to short plate, so fatty and too rich. - Brisket - Fatty marbled meat, thin and tender. A bit too rich for us. - Chuck Roll - The least fatty and beefiest in flavor. Not my favorite but popular with those that like the beef! We skipped the extra cost cuts, which I'm sure are amazing, but the included meats were plenty rich and decadent. We honed in on a couple favorite cuts and reordered those throughout our meal. You can get up to two broths per pot, and we settled on miso and spicy garlic. They add wagyu tallow for amazing depth of flavor, and be careful with the spicy variants - it's got more kick than most places. Loved the broth here. Also note that they add tofu, bokchoy, cabbage, and mushroom to the broth, so you can skip those in your first round. Gotta say, the nabe ingredients do feel a little lacking compared to other places. "Mixed Mushrooms" were only quartered brown mushrooms - would be nice to have oyster, wood ear, or seafood mushrooms mixed in. Ramen, udon, and rice are staple starch options, but nothing special here like fresh or konjac noodles. Fish and shrimp are awesome options, but I regretted getting even one order of salmon, it was way too much (like a big 6in filet). The cooked kitchen items are also mostly a trap. Be very careful about what you order, it's probably better to focus on the shabu wagyu for value. We had a couple of good items but were disappointed in others. - Wagyu Pupu Steak - DELISH. Not the most tender, but absolutely popping with flavor and garnished with zesty green onions. - Fried Shrimp Dumplings - Brah these shumai have big, juicy shrimp pieces and are fried til the wrappers are nice and crispy. Recommend. - Ahi Poke - Previously frozen and stringy. The sauce was good, but the icy, low quality fish was not. - Lemon Ginger Opakapaka - Dry, hard, severely overcooked. The seasoning has a strong artificial flavor. Skip this one. You also get a free soft drink, which includes a variety of lemonade/limeade mixes. The limeades were very sour, and we had lilikoi, strawberry, and li hing flavors. Wonderful perk. They also brought out slices of Japanese Style Souffle Cheesecake, two since we had two birthdays! Very light and fluffy texture with a rich and smooth cheesecake flavor, enhanced by a honey sauce that is brighter and sweeter than most. Very generous, as these are normally $5.50 per slice, but we would absolutely pay full price to get these again. At $65 per person, it's a great deal, considering how many different wagyu cuts we got to try, and how many extra side options they have. It's an indulgent experience that is hard to treat like traditional hot pot, as the meat is exquisitely rich and hard to eat mountains of. I can't see it being a regular dining choice, but it's absolutely a worthwhile journey for special celebrations, or simply exploring high-end dishes at an affordable price.

Our experience with Bobby started with private a tasting in their lounge of a few of the things we were hoping to have on our menu. We tried two mains, a salad and a few sides... when I say everything was a smash it, i really mean it! Our package included a third main and we honestly told him he could pick what to bring because obviously he knows how to cook- it'd be impossible to choose! For our wedding we had the kalbi shortribs, garlic shrimp, and huli huli chicken for our mains. Our salad was the one with the warm bacon dressing (OMG DELICIOUS), and we also had truffle mashed potatoes, a ratatouille, rice and i think 3 appetizers. It was ALL so good. Our guests have been raving about it since. Not only was the food to die for, but also the service before and during the wedding too! we had a few dietary restrictions to accommodate and Bobby was so easy to work with and already had ideas ready to go. Then there's the wait staff - who brought my husband and I full plates of everything first, before anyone else. So many people say they don't get to eat at their own weddings and they made sure that DIDNT happen to us. I was still so anxious that I didn't clear my plate but everything i DID eat was just as good as the tasting. The staff stayed and helped my coordinator for the rest of the night as well. After dinner they boxed up all the leftover food for us to take home and I was so happy for that! Since I didn't eat a ton at my own wedding I got to house all of the leftovers with our families.
