Ramen Ya is located at Kapolei Commons (By Target/Ross/Crumbl) Parking: usually I would say there is ample parking. However, the restaurant is located by the Down to Earth side. So there is parking, but it gets filled quickly. You might have to walk farther if you can't find parking. Ambiance: This place is a cute little ramen shop. Its casual and family friendly. Service:a When we came, we were greeted right away and had a table in hust a few minutes. Our food came out FAST. My husband wasn't even done parking and we already had our food. Food: my kiddo loves ramen. She ate a LOT and loved the tonkatsu broth. The noodles were chewy and the broth was delicious. The only bad thing was the overcooked boiled egg. It was hard boiled. Pretty sure its supposed to be soft boiled. They had thigh fiber noodles. It had 19 grams of fiber. My husband and I decided to try it out. It was soft, but it tasted like regular noodles. It's a totally great alternative if you are watching your carbs. Overall it waa a good experience. My daughter loved her ramen. We had nothing leftover. We will be back for the high fiber noodles.

Fresh off the plane, we were hungry. So glad this was our first stop. We came during happy hour so the prices were very reasonable. The food was even better! We tried several types of ramen, gyoza, curry katsu, and spam katsu. I would fly all the way back for more spam katsu. Still thinking about it! Our server was kind and friendly, answering all of our questions. The location was very clean and service was fast. My family and I enjoyed our visit and highly recommend this spot.

This restaurant not on the mainland so of course when I come out here, I try everything and it's local and it really pays off 98% of the time. Robin ya did not disappoint. Excellent service nice atmosphere small restaurant but really a perfect setting for something casual.Ill definitely be back.

Found this by accident as was shopping and we needed to eat lunch after arriving from the airport. Looked at the Yelp! reviews by others and clinched the deal. Had enough leftovers for another meal. $16.50 for a combination was well worth it for gyoza, mini ramen and chicken katsu! All very tasty.

I love Ramen Ya! I requested a change to our Ramen and there was some confusion, but our server was very nice about it and our food came out great and fast. Definitely recommend.

More like Ramen Yeeeeah!!! Before being on island San Diego was just starting to get some solid Ramen. I had my fav joints and was very interested in checking out what Hawaii had to offer. As the Japanese Curry that we've had so far has been top notch. The Ramen Ya in Kapolei has some bonus points. As it's located near the Target and next to Down to Earth. There is also an EV charger out front. So there aren't any excuses not to go. As for the ambiance, this would be the only downside. It was a little cramped - not a lot of space between tables. But honestly once the food gets there you quickly forget. My family is notorious for being a bit picky at times. My boys all got the Chicken Katsu Curry while my wife dabbled with the Gyoza Curry. I however went for the Black Garlic Ramen with extra noodles and made sure to make it spicy. End result everyone enjoyed their meal - and a miracle happened it was a clean plate club all around. Even the toddler ate his food and was so happy and content. My wife even mentioned making Ramen Ya a weekly stop as the price was just right especially for the quality. The servers were all quite friendly even when super busy. There wasn't an empty table the entire time we were there. Overall fantastic experience look forward to coming back.

Ramen-Ya serves ramen and other noodle dishes. The service is good, servers were friendly and helpful when asked about items on the menu. The ambiance is of Ramen-Ya is basic and simple, nothing fancy which is fine. Your order is prepared and served quickly. Curry Ramen - 4/5 The curry ramen was very good. The curry ramen tasted good. The curry was not spicy. The ramen noodles are good and not rubbery hard and not soft or mushy. The pork belly was tender, not hard or dry. I wish a soft boiled egg be included. Cold Noodles - 4/5 I ordered the egg noodle or somen. They other cold noodle choice is soba noodles. The dipping sauce was good, and when you mixed all the condiments (sliced fish cake, sliced pork, bamboo shoots and bean sprouts) together, the dish is very refreshing. Ramen-Ya is a decent place for a witch meal.

We were in Oahu our first night and looking for a quick bite to eat. We stumbled across Ramen Ya in a shopping center and took a chance, wanting to try new places. The dining room is fairly small, with maybe 10 tables. We got seated immediately and there is table service from a serving crew. The menu is large, with many different choices of ramen and other items. We weren't in the mood for ramen so we went with chicken fried rice, tonkatsu chicken, tonkatsu spam (yes, really), and some pan fried gyoza. Everything we tried we enjoyed very much. The tonkatsu was quite crispy and well cooked, though I personally didn't care for the spam cooked this way. The gyoza were fresh and hot, and the fried rice was really outstanding. Great flavor and a large portion size for the price. All in all, we very much enjoyed our meal and went there one additional time before we left. The prices were reasonable by Hawaii standards and we felt we got good value for our money.

It's a basic Ramen place and we were hangry. Guy greeted us and gave us water and a menu right away. We ordered and then it took a LONG time to get our food. The restaurant was about half full and half of them came in around the same time we did. After watching 3 other tables get their food we saw our waiter looking out from the counter at us. He came up with 1 of the 2 bowls. I was hangry so I dug in without waiting for my husband. After a half dozen mouthfuls I told him to dig into mine. He thought his would be right behind. It was after all Ramen. After watching another table get their food he started eating my Ramen. 10 minutes passed and no second bowl. He realised he'd eaten about a third of my lunch and pushed the bowl back to me. He said "eat it,it's your lunch." Still no second bowl. Finally his arrives and I'm halfway done already. This is poor management back in the kitchen. The overall time was long but splitting up an order like that is not good thus the 3 stars. 3 stars means the food was decent, the price was right, but there are things that take down the experience and that memory will make me hesitate next time I consider coming back.e

Not too far from the resort that we were staying at. This was located in a mini shopping mall. We were the only ones dining in there at the time. Service was okay, we did take some time to decide. Our waitress kept coming at us; like are you ready yet?! As if we had been there before. But again, this was our first time. Anyhow, I didn't see the lunch combo on the menu. It was something that was taped to the wall at our table. It included an appetizer with the ramen for a reasonable price. We opted for that choice instead. We both had the Tanaka Rich Garlic Ramen (which was very flavorful), one of the appetizers we had was Karaage Chicken (crispy and delicious with the dipping sauce) and the other was Pork Gyoza. Everything was good and filled us up quickly. We will have to try it again another day when we are back on the island.

I have to say the garlic oil miso ramen and the karage don were the stars! The flavor was amazing and the ramen noodles were perfectly chewy and toothful. The karage was crispy and very crunchy! Wagyu? All-you-can-eat? Count me in! As big fans of Shabuya,…read morewe were intrigued at the idea of higher end hot pot at a higher end price. AYCE hot pot just warms the soul in a different way, and adding in some of the richest, fattiest cuts of meat? How can you go wrong! For a two birthday celebration, we called ahead of time to reserve a table for six. I had to call a day before our visit to reduce the head count and they were more than accommodating. When we arrived early, they seated us right away, and came around quite often to take orders. There's a 90 minute time limit, but after 90 minutes our server said oh you have 30 more if you'd like. Top notch service all around. Gyu Masu melds right into the architecture of Hilton Embassy Suites, adopting the contemporary elegance of modern hotel styling. It's very clean and quiet. The AC was a little strong, but I can imagine it would be a refreshing escape from hotter Kapolei nights. The little table got pretty tight with a full shabu shabu setup, so make sure you stack up your empty plates for service. Street parking is pretty easy out front, or find the second floor marked stalls behind the hotel. There were seven cuts of wagyu to try, and you can order four at a time. The cuts are much thicker than other hot pot places, which we loved. Here's what we thought: - Top Sirloin Butt - Had a fat line that tensed up and got noticeably tough compared to other cuts. Decent flavor. - Top Round - My favorite, perfect balance of marbling and flavor. - Short Plate - Thick fat cut that was just way too fatty for us. - Short Rib - Wow, very distinct flavor and great marbling that was an overall favorite. - Outside Skirt - Similar to short plate, so fatty and too rich. - Brisket - Fatty marbled meat, thin and tender. A bit too rich for us. - Chuck Roll - The least fatty and beefiest in flavor. Not my favorite but popular with those that like the beef! We skipped the extra cost cuts, which I'm sure are amazing, but the included meats were plenty rich and decadent. We honed in on a couple favorite cuts and reordered those throughout our meal. You can get up to two broths per pot, and we settled on miso and spicy garlic. They add wagyu tallow for amazing depth of flavor, and be careful with the spicy variants - it's got more kick than most places. Loved the broth here. Also note that they add tofu, bokchoy, cabbage, and mushroom to the broth, so you can skip those in your first round. Gotta say, the nabe ingredients do feel a little lacking compared to other places. "Mixed Mushrooms" were only quartered brown mushrooms - would be nice to have oyster, wood ear, or seafood mushrooms mixed in. Ramen, udon, and rice are staple starch options, but nothing special here like fresh or konjac noodles. Fish and shrimp are awesome options, but I regretted getting even one order of salmon, it was way too much (like a big 6in filet). The cooked kitchen items are also mostly a trap. Be very careful about what you order, it's probably better to focus on the shabu wagyu for value. We had a couple of good items but were disappointed in others. - Wagyu Pupu Steak - DELISH. Not the most tender, but absolutely popping with flavor and garnished with zesty green onions. - Fried Shrimp Dumplings - Brah these shumai have big, juicy shrimp pieces and are fried til the wrappers are nice and crispy. Recommend. - Ahi Poke - Previously frozen and stringy. The sauce was good, but the icy, low quality fish was not. - Lemon Ginger Opakapaka - Dry, hard, severely overcooked. The seasoning has a strong artificial flavor. Skip this one. You also get a free soft drink, which includes a variety of lemonade/limeade mixes. The limeades were very sour, and we had lilikoi, strawberry, and li hing flavors. Wonderful perk. They also brought out slices of Japanese Style Souffle Cheesecake, two since we had two birthdays! Very light and fluffy texture with a rich and smooth cheesecake flavor, enhanced by a honey sauce that is brighter and sweeter than most. Very generous, as these are normally $5.50 per slice, but we would absolutely pay full price to get these again. At $65 per person, it's a great deal, considering how many different wagyu cuts we got to try, and how many extra side options they have. It's an indulgent experience that is hard to treat like traditional hot pot, as the meat is exquisitely rich and hard to eat mountains of. I can't see it being a regular dining choice, but it's absolutely a worthwhile journey for special celebrations, or simply exploring high-end dishes at an affordable price.
