Always enjoy coming here for their Mapo Tofu Crispy Noodle dish. Staff was friendly and the service was quick. Loved the ambiance being we were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived. So was able to order and get food fairly fast. Noodles were nice and crispy and the Mapo Tofu was delicious and very well flavored. I wasn't aware you can order the Mapo Tofu on the side so your crispy noodles will keep crispy and not get soft and soggy. Next time I'll order it separately. Lots of parking and if you're not full from your meal, walk over a few doors down to the newly opened Magnolia's for a cool sweet treat.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away. I could sit anywhere I wanted and was given a cup of water, napkins, and the menu as soon as I was seated. I had just sat down so I was surprised when the server asked if I was ready... lol but it's okay, I appreciate the fast service! I came here because broke da mouth was closed so I am looking forward to going somewhere new. I promised myself I would be more adventurous. My food came so fast just as I was writing this review. Hot food, fast service? That's already a win for me and I haven't eaten the food yet. I got the two selection combo. I was expecting a small portion of ramen due to the special price but it was a substantial amount. I was too full with the curry rice and chicken katsu that I couldn't fully enjoy my ramen so I asked for it to go. Even the to go packaging is high quality. 10/10 would recommend this place!
I love Daiichi, it's one of my favorite places to eat on island. I thought all Daiichi's would have consistent flavors but this spot was totally different. The broth for my usual Tan Tan Ramen was super oily. The broth tasted way more fatty and didn't have enough umami. The fried rice was super disappointing as it was super dry and didn't have the usual umami flavor. I was so disappointed but now I know to stick with my Pearl City location always.
My first visit, I gave them a 1 star. I came back 3 more times before I left today's review. The service has turned around 100 percent. They got the message. They treated me like a customer the last 3X, versus like they are doing me a favor. The lady who was so rude, must be gone. The food has always been great. That's just it, when you treat the customer with love, the food taste lovely too.
Good food, good portions & quick service. I love coming here for dinner or even take out, lots of seating and food comes out quick. I'll always have leftovers to take home too. I like the fried rice plates, or the curry and rice with chicken cats, super yum. Very casual sit down and the staff if nice.
This place has the best noodle texture I've ever had!! I'm not even kidding, even my husband was pleasantly surprised. We decided the eat here on a whim, because they offered both ramen and curry. The curry was yummy too, very flavorful, but the star was definitely the ramen noodles. My mother in law had the shrimp salad, she said it was okay. Definitely try it out if you're in the area
Need some soup today Glad Daiichi reopened in Kapolei and the parking is so much better next to the old Kapolei movie theater. During the winters, I love getting the ramen combo with tonkatsu ramen, shrimp fried rice, fish katsu and an order of gyoza. My last visit here, I got there before 5pm on Saturday and I was able to get the happy hour free gyoza. It came with four pieces and I got them fried this time. Every time I've come, no matter what day of the week, service here is consistent; it's fast, the food is great and the staff members always kind and helpful. And so this place is a family favorite of ours. Some local places, even when they're newly opened, is just blah. Love the classic woodsy and current decor. Plenty of light coming in and so in the afternoons, the blinds have to be drawn. Always a satisfying and over-indulged experience at Daiichi. We will see you soon.
We were sat as soon as we walked in. Not crowded and I appreciated the quick seating. The food we ordered came out very quickly. There was a mix up with my Chicken Katsu w Curry Plate, but the server only heard the Chicken Katsu part. The mix up was easily fixed. The food was not great. It came out hot, but that was the best thing bout the food. The gyoza was bland and soggy. Noodles were slimy and the shrimp and chicken Katsu was hard not crunchy. Pork fried rice was the only good thing.

I always go to the Pearl City location and they're good too. Service here was good and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The bowl.of udon noodles was filling and delicious. Soup tasted great. They give out free gyoza during happy hour which is after 2:30 pm. A major plus. We also ordered calamari which I forgot to picture here. Plenty of parking up front. Highly recommend.

Was in the area and craved ramen for dinner. I used to be a regular at the Pearl City location when I spent most my time there but this location was just as good. My go-to is the tan tan ramen. So delicious and seasoned well! I love the egg, meat and fish cake that come with it. Service is good, when walking in you're greeted and asked to sit wherever you like which is nice. The chicken katsu curry is also so good. Would come back again.
Friendly and fast service. I wasn't sure on time I had to eat my meal. Food came out quickly. Nice and hot on a some what rainy evening.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner yesterday. They are pretty good with the food you try here. They're pretty consistent on the taste of food. Happy they opened a new Daiichi Ramen in Kapolei especially since the Ewa location closed a couple years ago. I'm no stranger to Daiichi so I'm very familiar with this restaurant. Daiichi Ramen tastes way better than their competition. It's located next to the Kapolei Consolidated Theaters right next to Broke Da Mouth Grindz which was closed tonight due to "extreme staffing shortages" so I discovered this new Daiichi Ramen location. Ordered the Gomuku Ramen today but my usual is Tan Tan Ramen. Tasted good as expected and the service was excellent. My server checked on me twice during my meal. They have 6 different condiments on the table along with a container of chopsticks. The prices are very reasonable and they have free gyoza between 2:30 - 5:00pm. They also have a grand opening special of 15% off your bill until 10/15/2023. Will definitely be back when I want to eat ramen. read more

This is by the Kapolei theaters, the older one. We came on a Saturday after noon a little after lunch around 230pm and it was empty...just how I like it lol the workers were nice to greet us and the place was really clean. The place was pretty spacious I must say. Our server took out orders and always filled our waters. You cannot beat ordering the combo meal. I got the mini ramen with black garlic which was additional. My sides were takoyaki and mini curry. I must say, the mini curry wasn't mini it was pretty regular size looking lol I couldn't finish most of it so we took it home and had it for dinner. Everything tasted great! I did however take down a star because we ordered gyoza but the server did not mention anything about getting free gyoza during their happy hour until we paid and got in our car and seen the window display. One of the best ramens I've had! From California and decided to travel to west Oahu to visit the ko'olina lagoons and stopped by here for some ramen! Ramen broth is very delicious and smooth - they boil the broth for 12 hours. My dad ordered the chicken katsu curry for $14.95 and the portion size is HUGE!!! I've never had such a huge portion of tender, juicy chicken!!! Service is quick and fast. Indoor and outdoor seating available but outdoor seating is considered takeout. read more

This a new restaurant and it was so nice. The service was efficient and friendly. The restaurant was clean and had lots of indoor / air conditioned seating. The menu is large with a wide variety of food. We had ramen, udon, gyoza, and chicken katsu all of which we very very good. The portions are huge and we could not finish all our food, but they gave us to go containers. We would go back because of the food and service. read more

For the price you can't beat the Special combos. I went tonight after the Kapolei tree lighting. I got the special with the curry ramen, mochico chicken and fried rice. Portion were on point. Chicken and rice tasted delicious. The curry ramen was ok, I would definitely get another flavor. Will come back tho. read more
