We were first-time visitors looking for lunch and decided to try Rakki Ramen--such a great choice! We ordered the chicken katsu curry rice, calamari, fish katsu, and shrimp katsu salad. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the salad dressing stood out as one of the best we've had in a long time--it had a refreshing orange zest to it that we loved. The service was excellent; our server didn't even need to write the order down and still got everything spot on. The food came out quickly, the wait wasn't long, and even small details impressed us--the water tasted fresh (not like plastic), the bathroom was clean and odor-free, and checkout was smooth and easy. Overall, we left full but not uncomfortably stuffed, which is always a good sign. Rakki Ramen definitely exceeded our expectations, and we'll happily be coming back! read more

Haven't been to this location in years since it was Daiichi Ramen. The menu, service and ambiance seems about the same as before. Ramen was ok but nothing special. Wish there was more noodles and the pork was a tad more tender. Satisfied though. Prices are reasonable. read more

Had Black garlic udon Broth was wonderful and delicious noodles was cooked to perfection. Side of fried rice the best I have ever eaten. Tasty not greasy very good flavor then I had a side order of chicken Katsu the chicken Katsu cooked two perfection. Their Katsu sauce is so tasty. I don't care for Katsu sauce, but their Katsu sauce is number one. Service was great restaurant was clean came back to ask if you needed anything else filled your water. I've also eaten there where I had their fried Gyoza it was very comfortable. The air condition was just like. read more

They have a good assortment of dishes to select from. The pork fried rice & gyoza was good. We tried their Pork tonkatsu ramen & the Black garlic ramen. I like the skinny noodles they use. Broth was good but they water it down a lot. Maybe a little less water in broth & it would be even tastier. I will try their fried noodles on our next visit. Lots of parking , and a good amount of tables inside for dine in service. read more

I had the tonkatsu ramen. The pork was too tough. They overcooked the pork. I never had pork so tough in any ramen place. Not good at all. Waste money. Panda Express would of been way better for dinner. Never again here. read more

This place used to be consistently satisfying for when we have our chicken katsu curry and ramen dinner cravings. However, this last visit was during lunch time was not met. The portions are the same, but the taste and quality of the food isn't. Got chicken katsu curry mini, 6 piece gyoza to share, cold noodle (hayashi ramen). The chicken katsu was decent, still crunchy and warm when we got home (2 minute drive). The rice was old, a day or 2 and it was on the cooler room temperature side, and hard. The curry was packed separately which is nice and thoughtful but it was really watered down and not thick like how Japanese curry usually is. I was really disappointed with the mini chicken katsu curry. Gyoza was on point and cold noodle was yummy. read more

It's nice and clean with dining tables inside. Service is always quick and courteous. I'm not sure if it's the 2nd or 3rd ramen shop in that spot but I always b like it there. I can feed myself amd 3 teenaged gkids for under $60. That's a win. LoL. read more

This is a ramen spot, but all their workers spoke Mandarin. It didn't matter though. The food was fantastic and a good value. We got the Special Combo set. They have three to choose from. We got the set with ramen. You get a small ramen with two sides. We chose the black garlic broth which was $1.50 more, so $15.75 for each meal. The black garlic ramen was fantastic. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was tasty. Thankfully, it wasn't watered down. Their broths are simmered for 12 hours daily. The sides were all good as well. I got the calamari rings and gyoza. It was a decent size and filled with pork and veggies. My hubby got the mochiko chicken and chicken katsu. What really made me notice this place is what I heard and not what I seen. The table next to us ordered the fried rice. I grew up eating Chinese food and probably eaten at a thousand Chinese restaurants. That sound of metal clinking on the wok with the fire flaring doesn't escape my ears. I was just eating my ramen when I heard that sound. My ears perked up. I knew that they were making the fried rice and that it was going to be filled with wok hei. That's how I knew this place was legit. read more

The Black Garlic Ramen is FIRE. That is the plate I decided to order at Rakki Ramen. Love the strong garlic smell and taste of my food. Great mix of flavors and seasonings. Menu choices are awesome. They are moderate in prices. Service was good, and the vibe was good. I will be back for more. read more

Rakki Ramen - Store front - Ramen Near Me - Ewa Beach, Hawaii

New ramen shop which took over Daiichi ramen. Nothing has changed as far as ambiance on the inside. Still feels like a Japanese ramen house which creates a nice setting. Menu has changed not but they still provide combo sets, rice plates, curry and regular ramen. Some differences I spotted was cold noodles and salads on the menu I went with the black garlic ramen ($13.50) and added extra charsiu ($3.50) and butter ($2.00). I also ordered a side of 6 piece gyoza ($6.50). Their combo sets were $14.25 which isn't that bad as it comes with a variety of sides to choose from. The food came out quick. It's wasn't as busy when we came at around 4 pm on a Thursday. The ramen was nice and hot and the added butter slowly melted away. I love the sides they provide on the table. My favorite is the garlic bits. I literally took half of it at least. The extra egg was nice as mine did not come with one originally. Others may come with one so be sure to ask. The broth for the black garlic was soooo good and flavorful. Literally love garlic based broth. Sides were good, gyoza was okay but the mini fried rice was bomb. Very enjoyable and a mini is enough to fill you up with some other sides to much on. Overall, a good experience. Staff was friendly and refilled our water regularly. Food and portions were good. Price is decent and competitive. Not a must try but definitely a craving fulfiller. read more

As I drove to Safeway I noticed a Grand Opening sign under Daiichi Ramen and realized a new ramen place has opened in its place. Welcome Rakki Ramen! I went in and the staff was super friendly and showed me their menu. Seems very much like Daiichi, roughly the same items and roughly the same price but maybe little more cause inflation. Maybe a little more selection. It's a list menu without pics so hard for me to compare without counting. My husband was already at home making meat Jun so I couldn't order a lot. I did inquire about a small pan of Gyoza which is like $39 and you get 45 pieces. As someone who makes Gyoza for my family, and given the time it takes to cut veggies, prep the mix, and fold the Gyoza and cook it.... This isn't a bad deal. The Gyoza was tasty.... But I prefer it with more ginger. But it wasn't bad. 2 six piece orders cost me $11.57 with the current promotion. I can't wait to try more! read more

Was so excited on receiving my food through door dash but was disappointed in the end. First off, received my food on time, but as I was eating I found a ROACH in my food never have I ever experienced this before and on top of that my chicken katsu was really dry. Called it in and clerk was very sincere so I wasn't too upset, but all I ask is to please double check. read more

We rarely eat on the west side but this place had good reviews. And was in the area. If you're in to a flavorful rich broth with a perfect amount of spices then this Rakki ramen is for you. All the ramen here looks really good and I like my ramen with some kick in spice. There is a good amount of selections of ramen that's not spicy but I decided to order one of their specialty ramen (Rakki ramen) it comes with a nicely flavored salted egg with Char-su pork and some greens. The service was nice. They always came back to refill our water as needed. And the place has a nice and worm look. read more

Went to eat dinner one late night, they were fast and very nice! Food was so good too!

How do you advertise free gyoza from 2:30pm. I was waiting until 2:30pm then I ordered 1 combo and the worker said free Gyozas are only when you order the regular mind you combos are 1.00 more. Unreal these restraunts. It's all about Money. read more

Good price good food. I did take out but have ate in and service is always good. Everything comes out quick.

2 of us got food poisoning from this place and we both had the same food item. Never eating or taking out food here agian!.

Fast, accurately rung up, well-packaged takeaway ramen. However, it made me nostalgic for the Daiichi that used to occupy this space. The broth (tonkatsu) was bland, and the toppings were sparse (no veggies other than menma?) the mochiko chicken was dried out and the fried rice was almost flavorless. Very disappointing. read more

Garbage food. Don't get involved. -- Details if you want them. The main order was for Mapo Tofu. I know this dish well, but maybe it's different in Hawaii. Regardless, what we received was completely inedible. It arrived cold and was a gelatinous, gray heap of nothing. We couldn't eat it. Green salad. The greens looked okay, but the dressing -- zero flavor. How do you screw up Asian salad dressing? Seriously, it looked the part but literally empty calories. Cold noodle. Admittedly, I ordered this somewhat blind, and maybe this is more of a DoorDash issue. But the description didn't mention anything about what it would include. I specified vegetarian for the order, but it wasn't. Enough said. Maybe food in Oahu is always overpriced and tasteless if this place earned 4.8 stars? Can't wait to get back home to California. read more

Called in a phone order. Pick up was prompt and easy. When I arrived the staff was friendly. Though I only live right across the street, our food was still hot when I got home. We ordered the tonkatsu, spicy shrimp, and Tantan ramens. Also got a mini chicken katsu curry with rice. Everything tasted yummy. Ramen broths were very flavorful and portion size plentiful. We have seen at least 2 other ramen places in this same spot and not too sure why they only last a couple years. But we would frequent this place again for sure. read more

This is the old Daichi Ramen located in Ewa Beach. The decor hasn't changed and the parking is good since it's a shopping center. We came on Halloween Evening after the kids were done trick or treating...they are open till ten and we got there about 7:45...yes yes it was close to the kids bedtime...don't judge me! There were a few people seated and while we were there a few more came in. So it wasn't busy at all... we got the pork fried rice to share, mainly for the little one. I enjoyed this place, the ramen is not the best but it's close to the house lol. read more

If you want to eat at an openly Racist restaurant, this is your place. They sat me down before 3 other parties and completely ignored me. Mind you, I already knew what I wanted to eat but they literally walked right passed me multiple times while serving everyone that came in after me. I was the only person in the restaurant that didn't look local. I got up and walked out and asked the server, did you forget about me or are you just a racist? She played dumb like she didn't understand English. I'll never attempt to go back to this poor excuse for a restaurant. read more

We went here to celebrate my kid's end-of-year portfolio success. He ordered the beef curry and I got chicken katsu curry and side order of calamari. Everything was so ono! very delicious food. nice aesthetic and nice tables. service is very quick and very good. Chicken Katsu Curry is a must

The ramen is tasty. The only reason for four stars is whenever we order take out, our food comes in a box that was used for frozen meat - there was still the package order sticker on it. We thought maybe it was a fluke, but the second time was the same. Definitely would dine in instead next time. read more

We were probably one of their last two people to be seated that night but thankfully they didn't seem to be bothered! We ordered quickly, were served quickly and ate quickly :) not much to say but the food was really good, I'm happy to save this place and hopefully remember next time if it's still here when I come back. The menu was more than enough to choose from from someone who missed local food. This is new but I moved away a long time ago and the friend I came with mentioned it took over a place that was either already there and/or was just renamed, he saw it a few times passing by and heard good things so was glad he had a reason to finally come in (he'll be back, he said). The plate size was also good amount for the price considering the other places I was shocked by during my visit compared to last time I was here :0 even had a little bit to take home since we were trying to get out of their hair lol read more

We love their Tan Tan ramen and their fried rice! Their staff are very friendly! I'm glad that Esther are located close to where we live!

Never been in the physical location but we just doordashed on a friday night, 5mins before they stop taking doordash orders. Food came fast and the best part is that it is still hot when we got them. It felt like it came fresh out of the kitchen. My husband loved his beef curry, gyoza and seaweed soup. I got the rakki ramen which is good, very tasty broth but not too salty. The pork fried rice is my favorite! And the serving is huge, can feed me AND my family for the next 2 days. read more
