Pueo's Restaurant is located in the Coral Creek Golf Course, and might just be the closest eating establishment to my house. We finally tried them out a few months ago--the thing that makes it hard to get there is their short hours--boy was it worth it! We both had the day's special of country fried steak. The steak was so lightly but perfectly crisp, and not at all oily. The eggs & gravy were perfect, and crispy hash browns were such a great bonus--good thing we went for brunch because it was definitely 2 meals worth of food. It was as good as the country fried steak meal we got at a popular Kapolei eatery, but with no wait and around 50% of the price. Pueo's is located in a no-frills space in the clubhouse. It's a Formica table kind of place, with the nicest server ever. Such a nice man. It got a little loud due to 2 large family parties since the noise just echoes in there, but you get what you pay for--awesome food at an affordable price. Parking is easy and free! read more

Service 0/5 Food 0/5 First time here, the waitress lady looked at us and didn't say a word. We sat ourselves which is fine, then she brought water. Didnt ask if we wanted any other drinks (which we did). Then came back with her notebook to take our orders. She stood there knowing we werent ready, so we felt rushed. She went away and came back 2 minutes later standing there waiting to take our orders, so we ordered. We got a clubhouse sandwich, lechon plate, breakfast plate, cheeseburger, and beef stew plate. Food came out randomly one by one, the waitress only stopping to drop the food off and rush back away. It was not busy at all, we were the only people in there. I waited over 1 hour for the beef stew plate and everyone else was done eating. Waitress never checked up on us or on my food. Saw her talking to the manager saying we were still waiting on the beef stew. I told them Im good, I dont want it anymore. The manager was very apologetic and offered to get me some for half off...really? Cant even comp it for your mess up? And she tried to make me feel bad for not taking her up on her offer. Please! This place does not know any customer service and I would steer clear unless you're golfing and want a drink or something. If I could rate this place a negative 5, I would. The food is delicious. There is a good selection of things to eat from spam musubi to a plate lunch. Service was fast considering how busy they were. Pueo's can get noisy because it's at a golf course but that's to be expected. You can watch the games while you at and that is a plus. read more

We come here pretty often. After golf at Barber's Point or Coral Creek we come to Pueo because It is conveniently Happy Hour for us so the prices are reasonable. We've had good dishes and some not so good. The fried chicken wings are good size and delicious. I made the mistake of ordering the fried chicken gizzards once. They don't pre cook the gizzards before they coat and fry them so the gizzards come out tough, chewy and a little bloody. I ordered the Korean chicken yesterday and it was underwhelming, not one of the better tasting Korean chicken I've had. Also, the Mac salad, while a generous portion, lacked flavor even after adding salt and pepper. The rest of the guys had a salad, burger and BLT. They all seemed pleased with their choices. The process are really good here, with lunches priced at $11-!4, very affordable for a sit down restaurant. I wish I read the specials that were posted outside the entry because there was no specials menu on the dining tables. Another thing was that there were 7 full tables of diners and only one server. Headed out here in need of a place that was open for a very early morning breakfast. Saw that Pueo's Restaurant was open at the bright and early time of 0600 every morning! I have passed by this establishment many times, but was unsure if the restaurant was only accessible to it's golfing patrons. Upon arrival though, we were greeted by a very nice gentleman named Glen whom we later found out was also our server. He informed us the restaurant was open to the public. Then he ushered us in and quickly served us up some nice piping, hot coffee. Shortly afterwards, he took our orders. The following items were ordered: THE FOOD The Early Bird Special ($7.99 each) x 2: a. 2 eggs over easy, Portuguese sausage, and rice w/ a coffee. b. 2 eggs poached (per special request), spam, and extra crispy hash brown w/ a coffee. Talk about an awesome breakfast deal, which is available from 0600-1000. THE SERVICE Glen was so pleasant and attentive! An exceptional server with such a warm and friendly aura about him. He took very good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. THE DEALS The restaurant itself was clean and inviting. There was a large TV and an open bar. I saw they had HAPPY HOUR DRAFT SPECIALS Mon-Fri 1400-1700. And GAME TIME SPECIAL (Game Day Mon & Thur) Bud Light Draft Pitchers for $10. And their Everyday PUPU MENU ranges from $6-$14. What a good deal! OVERALL THOUGHTS Imo, customer service weighs heavy on what can make a 4 star rating a 5 star experience. And Glen definitely kicked this up a notch to a 5 star experience! My usual Sunday routine is to get up early and go for a walk. After getting our steps in, we like to get breakfast at a venue we have not ate at yet. Although we have passed by this Golf Club on many occasions, it never dawned on us that there would be a public restaurant that we could dine in at. Our curiosity got the best of us so we drove into the parking lot (the wrong way lol), parked, and decided to take a look around. As we entered the clubhouse, we noticed the Pueo Cafe right off the bat. It was already 10am'ish and I was thirsty for coffee. So I went running in while my husband and teenie bopper followed behind me. We were greeted by the sounds of KC and Ravens playing and a crowd cheering. That got my husband's attention right away. I didn't notice a sign in desk upon entering so I walked directly to a bunch of people standing around near the bar. A friendly lady greeted us and told us where the best seat in the house was at if we wanted to eat and watch the game. She already earned points with us. LOL! Next she informed us of their breakfast specials which was before 10am but that's okay, we will keep that in mind for the next visit! We ordered off the regular breakfast menu which was kind of pricey but well worth it! Husband got the Chef's Special Omelette, I got the Peuo Breakfast, and our teeny bopper got the french toast alacart. I ended up sharing my bacon with our daughter because if you know me, I am not a fan of meat but not opposed to it either. Portion was generous and food was delicious. I wish they offered fruits like papaya or strawberries and blueberries to go along with our breakfast but it's okay. I am upset that I never bothered to ask the nice lady what her name was because she gave us the most exceptional Customer Service I always look for when eating at a restaurant. There were other groups around but she made sure our drinks were never empty and that we were taken care of. I've been here many times before COVID but now, after the pandemic, the prices went up for breakfast, just like everything else. But for breakfast specials, you can get rice, choice of meat and eggs with coffee for under $10. For veggie options, expect to pay over $13 for complete breakfast with toast, rice and veggie omelette. Ambiance is bright and wait service is great. They have full bar as well. The lechon was good but too bad only had a few pieces. Gotta save money where you can. I didn't know if that was chicken gizzards or some dark rubbery substance. Not too good at all. The garlic fries tasted weird to me and it was like somewhat under cooked??? You know when you don't cook frozen food good? It soft outside but hard inside?? We'll that's how lunch went and for $55. Oh sorry that with a couple beers. And that too...bud light is $7 here and that's not for a larger bottle or anything. Our server was ok. He looked lost at times but tried his best. My acceptance level of service has gotten a lot more forgiving. It's just hard to find people to work for some reason. The ones that do want to work maybe haven't worked before so please be patient people. They are new to having a job. Ambiance is like eating in a school cafeteria. Some people like that. Mother in law, my daughter and myself came here for a late lunch, early dinner after mother in laws hula practice. We got here last as we past the street we were supposed to turn at. As we entered, we saw all my aunties and sat at the table with them. I looked at their menu and I ordered the lechon kawali with salad and two scoops of rice. The lechon here was good, soft and flavorful. I definitely enjoyed my meal and it was enough food for me. I also got to sample two chicken wings as the outside was crunchy and delicious. My daughter had the spam yakisoba. She loved the noodles and enjoyed her food. Thumbs up from her and myself. Service was excellent by our waitress. She was super nice and made sure our waters were filled. Only negative was parking as it was far for my mother in law to walk so I had pull up and try to get to her. Open to the public (both the restaurant/bar as well as the golf facilities) no membership needed. Clean/neat awesome ambience overlooking the golf course or you can opt to watch the television if that suits you better. Friendly and helpful service/staff. Good food no mystery ingredients-like at fast food establishments, just simple down homestyle cooking and ingredients! Decent prices especially considering you get table service. With the hyperinflation and the prices of food lately I can honestly say that I have paid a lot more for a lot less (as in quality of food, portions of food, and no table service) at other food establishments. Our favorites here are breakfast which you can get the early bird special between 6-10 am which comes with coffee, 2 eggs, choice of meat (bacon, Portuguese sausage, pork links, or spam) and choice of starch (rice, hash brown, or toast) for $8.49, which BTW is one of the best deals in town considering McDonald's cost a lot more for a lot less as I mentioned above. Ohh and did I mention that comes with friendly table service and unlimited ice water refills! Love the chef omelette, garlic chicken, fish and chips, spam musubi, sweet bread french toast, and club house with garlic fries! I've noticed that they haven't yet updated their menu, but for the breakfast lovers like me (just a FYI) they do currently serve pancakes. Located at Coral Creek Golf Course: I would pass by this place almost everyday. I would see the signs posted up advertising the buffet. There is a breakfast buffet 6-10am for $9 and a brunch buffet for $15.95. I love brunch buffets :D I decided to try it out but did not really care for what I saw at the buffet. I would rather go to sizzler and get one of the value menu items for about the same price. So I opted for one of the special for that day. I got the sizzling new york steak (it wasn't sizzling). The steaks from Blazin steaks or cooked at Foodland Ewa is much tastier. The portion was really small. It wasn't worth the $10.95. I left hungry! My husband said his hamburger steak was alright. I believe this is the only bar in Ewa and there are 2 flat screen T.V.'s. We tried out this place on a Football Sunday. So it was jammed pack with golfers and people just wanting to watch the game. I guess if your golfing there it would be okay to check it out because of convenience. But there are a handful of other restaurants near by. read more

We chose Coral Creek Pueo Restaurant as our wedding venue. We were blown by how amazingly well Adel T, the events corrodinator/manager, took care of us! The ceremony area with the gazebo and the waterfall in the background was like a fairytale! From the moment we booked the venue up until the day of the wedding Adel went above and beyond for us. She kept in touch and kept us up to date on all changes, answered any questions that we had, and even met with us and our vendors on numerous occasions. I'm so grateful from the above exceptional service we received from Adel and the rest of the staff at Pueo. Our menu was made easily with so many options to choose from. We were able to customize a menu that fit my husbands and my expectations. Everything was delicious! The fish and teriyaki chicken was my favorite. Overall, our experience with Pueo exceeded our visions and made our wedding extra special. UPDATE!!! We had a friend fly in from Afghanistan and we invited her to watch some comedy and hangout with us (it's been 15 years since I last saw her and we wanted her to enjoy her time away from the chaos) she invited some of her team who served in Afghanistan with her to join us and we had an amazing time!! Augie T and his boy Kanoa greet guests before the show and when they discovered they have service members making their way back home from war zone and come to enjoy his show, they comped their tickets My heart melted and I was taken by Augie and Kanoa's blessing! I had to work hard at getting my husband through the door to watch the show because he seriously didn't want to feel awkward being the only ones in the audience. Well we did make it through the door and by our surprise half the restaurant was almost full and we laughed all night long!!! Augie T is hilarious and for those of you islanders and of course you haolies who appreciate the Hawaiian culture will definitely enjoy the show!! Tickets can be purchased online via Augie T's website for $10. The staff here are very friendly and serve tables throughout the show. Most customers had dinner before the show celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. I can't say much about the food unfortunately, hubby and I just had drinks but we plan to come back and catch another show next time with family and friends and perhaps by then I can tell you all about the food! The service is quick considering there's one hostess/bartender. She's a pro and doesn't need to write any orders down, your food comes out exactly as ordered. I've only been here once and got the Lechon Kawali with a toss salad and oriental dressing. There's more on the menu I'd like to try so I will be coming back. It's a nice affordable out of the way place if you don't want to contend with busy parking lots and crowded restaurants. A lot of Japanese tourist/speaking people come here to golf from what I've seen. There are daily and weekend specials. The adjacent banquet room is available for bigger parties. Not bad at all... I've read the previous reviews and to be honest was a bit skeptical to try it. But after a long morning of golfing, we worked up an appetite and decided to give it a go for our post-golf lunch. The waitresses were both very friendly and quickly greeted us upon arrival and took our drink order. The place was bustling with other golfers/diners who were also enjoying a lunch time bite and despite the large number of guests, the waitresses managed to take care of everyone efficiently. The menu is nice and simple with a variety of standard local style dishes. They also run daily specials, which unfortunately the waitress did not tell us about. We were sad to overhear her telling another guest about the special oxtail soup after we had already ordered...bummers. We ordered our lunch, Kimchee fried rice for him, a clubhouse sandwich with fries for me, and an 8 piece gyoza to share. This was my first clubhouse sandwich at "the clubhouse"...how exciting :) The food was out in about 10 minutes and we watched the Golf channel while we waited. I was expecting some mean grinds, but came up empty handed. :( The menu has some great sounding dishes, but what I imagined in my head was nothing like what was served. There were 6 of us... 3 of us wives accompanying our golf-loving husbands, and all of us enjoy a good meal. We were hungry after 18 holes, and took our time perusing the menu. I settled on a teriyaki beef sandwich w/fries, and the rest of the group ordered club sandwich w/fries, oxtail soup (not on the menu, but listed as a special), cheeseburger w/fries, and a platter A (calamari, chicken, fries, and something else). The teriyaki beef sandwich didn't even appear to be teri beef. The meat was super thin sliced and didn't taste marinated, although there was some salty sauce on top of it. And it was served an a sub-style bun which was too thick and totally drowned out the meat taste. The cheeseburger was a cheeseburger, nothing extraordinary. I didn't try the oxtail, but the person who ordered it said it was just ok. The club sandwich was dry and my sister-in-law had to ask for mayo to make it better. The chicken on the platter needed salt. At least the fries were good. Who can mess up fries, right? read more
