This Chilis had gotten some poor reviews...and I'm not sure why really. I mean, it's Chilis. It's busy and based on other locations I've been to, this onesies right up there with a good spot to stop while traveling. We ate dinner around 7:30 on a Friday night. It was packed. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress was on top of things and our orders arrived quickly. For the first time ever, I got something new. I got the shredded chicken burrito. It wasn't something I'd get again...because it was lacking chicken. It was mostly rice. Live and learn. I'll stick to Chilis favorites from now on. But definitely check this spot out. Chili's is a popular place here in Johnstown. The food is Tex Mex and the wait service is decent. The variety of food available is good and kids like the atmosphere. They have a full bar area and it can get crowded when a Pittsburgh game is on (football or hockey). We've never had any problems with the Chili's here in Johnstown and would recommend this place for a casual fun atmosphere. read more

A breath of fresh air for a chain restaurant! The bartenders were absolutely wonderful. I remember Pam was one but I don't remember the younger guys name, either way they were amazing. My Chicken quesadilla salad is beyond delicious, (per Pam's recommendation,) and completely satisfying. Of all the chain restaurants in this area, chili's menu is one of the most appetizing to me. For this reason I always seem to be giving it another chance. With that being said, the last 5 times I've gotten food from here have been less than ideal. Service is terrible and I have gotten the wrong meal once, cold food twice, and missing items on my to go order on multiple occasions. The service at this establishment needs to be upgraded because it seems to be a continuous issue. read more

My favorite restaurant. However Chili's App sucks. I check the entire way way to the restaurant on the wait time. The wait time was consistently 4-14 minuets. So when I was 5 minutes out I got in line. When I got to the restaurant, I was told at least 1 hour. I told the hostess the app said 4-14 minuets. She said the app is always wrong. Why? Why not fix it or disable it? Couldn't wait an hour so I went elsewhere. Very disappointed. read more

This is my favorite chain restaurant, I have yet to have a bad experience. Any waiter/tress that I have had was always pleasant and quick to service, even at times that it has been super busy. The food is great tasting and the restaurant is kept clean. They are quick and polite when it comes to fixing mistakes that may have been made. read more

Chilis is a chain restaurant so I never went there with great expectations. I work close to the Johnstown Chilis location so decided to have lunch there this week. My server looked like she had been partying the night before and had not slept. Forgot my salad and got my order wrong. The table felt greasy and not clean. The utensils did not appear to be washed well and I had to ask for replacements. The food took way too long to get to me and when it did it was disappointing. There was little taste and it was very bland. It seemed like there were a lot of people working here that really did not take their jobs seriously. Saw several servers talking on cellphones arguing and did not appear they were paying much attention to their customers. I really felt this was a poorly run Chilis and I will not return. I could not honestly tell anyone to try this restaurant. read more

I'm sitting in the restaurant writing this review simply because I have nothing else to do while I'm waiting for the wait staff to figure out what is going on in here. I used to really enjoy coming to Chili's. Not anymore. It took 20 minutes to get a glass of water and a margarita. Even longer for our food. Our waiter introduced himself to us twice because he forgot he had already taken our drink order. The food was mediocre at best. Certainly nothing I'd come back for. The rice with my shrimp tacos was hard, like it had been sitting for too long. The beans were cold. The tacos were throw together with little thought to how someone could actually eat a large hunk of cabbage. It took another 20 minutes after we were done until someone acknowledged us and offered to bring a check. They have a fundraiser for St Jude going on and I would have gladly donated but no one wanted to talk to us about it. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is the watermelon margarita really rocked. Regardless, we won't be back. read more

I'm not sure I can find a single good thing to say about lunch today. I usually really like chilis. I was school shopping with my four children and we went to lunch after. It was almost noon but not very busy. We sat 15 minutes before she came to take our drink orders. I asked if we could order our meal as well. She took that order. Came back. Tossed our drinks at us without a word. We looked around for straws. Found them in our napkins. She brought our chips and salsa. Stacks of chips were burnt together. All the chips were brown. Ran out of salsa. She didn't offer more. She left all of our drink cups when we finally got refills. Brought the app that went with two of my sons' 2 for 20. It was onions and jalapeños. They were so greasy... then brought our sandwiches and such. I looked for salt for fries. They no longer have salt on the tables. Any of tgem. That confused me. My sandwich was edible at least. Until I bit into an avocado stem. I told them to let the kitchen know avocado stems aren't edible she laughed. So that's that read more

From the moment we walked in every employee in this restaurant addressed us as "guys." We in no way shape or form resembled guys. I know this is often used as slang, but it shows poor training and lack of respect in a waitstaff. read more

Waited no less than 10 minutes at the front of a nearly empty restaurant, at least 4 separate staff members walked right past us without making any eye contact. My companion and I actually wondered if we had died on the way over and no one could see our apparitions. Finally I had to approach a waitress and politely asked if we could still be seated. The waitress snapped back at me that the hostess would seat us. I pointed out that there was no hostess. The same waitress sighed that she would indeed seat us. After staring at the menu for another 10 minutes (again there's hardly anyone here) guess who, THE SAME WAITRESS asked us if we were ready for drinks. We put our whole order in. Drinks were pretty much thrown at us. In the time we've been here (yes I'm still here) three separate parties have stood at the entrance and decided they were better off going somewhere else. Everytime we go to Chilis I have something different to eat and everytime its delicious! The atmosphere is great! There's plenty of tvs to watch sports and there are always a bunch of friends there because they all know it's a good place to eat and relax read more

Went to our local Chilis (Johnstown,pa) on2/14/17 with my girl friend for Valentines Day dinner.service was good,food was fine.The problem started when we got our check and used a chilis card that we knew was used before and wanted to know what the left on the card was,the waitress took the card but was obliviously irradiated in doing so. The card balance was not enough to cover the check,so we gave her another card we had and believed the 2nd card was unused.(50.00). Upon returning she informed us that card was used before but still had more than enough to pay for the check,my girlfriend said I thought that was a unused card and the waitress SNAPPEDBACK and said WELL I DONT KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE CARD ONLY WHAT IT TELLS ME THE BALANCE IS and stomped away.WOW in no way were we accusing anyone of anything,we just made the comment that we did not know we had used it before,nothing more. I can tell you one thing WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN. Very rude and uncalled for.Food was OK but not worth being treated like that. read more
