Worst place I have ever been too. I can't comment on food because I walked out because waitress was so rude.

These chicken wings are pretty awesome! They also have whiskey. Both were equally yum. I do recommend.

It's the kind of place where you feel like a friend the first time you enter and you leave a real friend by the end of your meal. We're vegetarian, and they have great options for us, and have even catered an event for us where they prepared an entire vegetarian menu for our guests. Highly recommend their mushroom po' boy and their waffles with fruit (available any time of the day)! And don't forget to try their peach cobbler, sweet potato pie, or the strawberry banana pudding! They are also very involved in the community and do events all around the city. Plus, if you love jazz or comedy, you'll love spending some time there. They have great jazz music playing all the time, and they do comedy nights near the end of nearly every month. They are a jewel right here in Moxham/Johnstown!

I ordered two platters and the description in your app says the platters come with the protein of your choice and two sides. I ordered fish, macaroni and cheese and yams with an extra side of collard greens. I get my order delivered and there's no macaroni and cheese, so I called and spoke with a gentleman who said he was out and just gave me rice? And then the platter comes with one SMALL piece of fish? I was not contacted to ask me if the substitution was okay or if I still wanted the order. The owner ended up calling me back and offered to bring me the correct sides and extra fish herself, and requested that I send my address. Over an hour later, I receive a text apologizing saying that the macaroni is taking longer than expected. At this point, I've been dealing with this ordeal for 2.5 hours and told her to just forget about it because the entire experience had been ruined. First and last time!

Being hungry on country roads just increases hunger, not passing by any restaurants. We ended up looking up nearby restaurants and found this one with Google review stars worthy of our visit. It was well worth the visit. Our server was pleasant and efficient, the menu quite extensive, food flavorful, and price fair. We both opted for the Captain salad (me choosing chicken, my friend choosing steak) with fries on top. I also elected a pierogi starter for us to share. Everything was delicious.

The original server was a bartender who came to take our drink order and did a great job, then main server brought them out, took our food order, and disappeared for 45 minutes. When he, we never got his name as he did not share it, did eventually come back we requested another round of drinks and an update on our food. We never got those drinks or that update from the server. We (a 5 top) witnessed 2 other tables (a 3 top and 2 top) under the same server come in, sit down, order, receive, consume, and pay for their meals in the time we waited for ours. After another 10 minutes, a member of our table went to the bar to request we cash out for our round of drinks that we did receive so that we could leave. The bartender ran back to the kitchen and came out to tell us that our food was "ready now" and that the ticket had only been in the kitchen for 30 minutes. This means that the server forgot to enter the ticket for 25 minutes? That is simply unacceptable when coupled with the complete lack of attention to the table. The massive delays caused us to miss an event that we usually would have had plenty of time for.

Part II The man…read morestood at about only my height, but he carried a presence. He had, "aura" as the youngin's call it these days. He wore the finest tuxedo that I've ever seen. It was so clean that it burned my eyes to look at. He looked like a boss. His posture exuded confidence and power. He looked like a man who could have you killed with the snap of a finger, or the wink of an eye. His arms were extended in front of him, hands one on top of the other grasping onto a Crystal lion skull that sat on top of a black staff. You could barely make out the lions face through his thick knuckles that were dressed with the big diamond rings. He was staring straight ahead, his eyes piercing through the silence. He also wore a fitted fedora, and had the cleanest goatee I've ever seen. He was a boss. Standing behind him was a unit of a man who stood at least 6-feet tall with broad shoulders and muscular legs that bulged through his black shorts that were cut off above the knees. He wore a long black coat like he was secret service, and a gangster hat. His face was chiseled like the David, and he also sported a clean goatee. This man was handsome. I mean, seriously good looking. As soon as I made eye contact with him, I felt the butterflies in my stomach start fluttering. Bistros walked over to the boss looking figure and his guard, and greeted them both. It appeared as Bistors knew them. He definitely knew the body guard because they exchanged a bro hug and cheek kiss like true gentleman, and I swear I saw the guard slide a piece of paper into Bistros right pocket. "It's good to see you, Bruiser," Bistros said under his breath. "Always a pleasure," the guard named Bruiser whispered back, before ending the embrace and walking the boss to the table. As the boss approached the table, I had this urge to stand and greet him. Myself and the penguin looking man rose to our feet when Bruiser the guard pulled out a chair for the boss to sit in. The boss didn't say a word. Instead he stared at us intimidatingly and extended to us his right hand. The penguin and I knelt down before him and kissed the rings. The cowboy laughed and muttered something to himself. At seeing this, Bruiser moved behind Cowboy Soriano and whispered something into his ear. It clearly left the cowboy shook because he jumped to his feet and kissed the rings of the Boss before offering an apology. Five of use were seated at the table, and Bistros stood behind the one vacant chair and his eyes darted from person to person nervously. The boss finally spoke. "Where's the sixth," he said in a strong New York accent while staring at Bistros. "He should be arriving shortly," said the skittish waiter. "He just flew in today from Las Vegas." "Vegas?" I thought to myself. Who could possibly be joining us all the way from Vegas, and why? It didn't take long for me to get my answer. The door flew open once more and another man entered the restaurant. He was a lively gentleman who wore an oversized New York Rangers jersey to go along with navy dress pants, blew high tipped dress shoes, and a sun visor that read "Big Winner" on the brim. He was holding a golden guitar from guitar hero and wore tons of high roller bling around his neck. "Wassup you clowns," he said jokingly when he reached the table. This was a man that I could appreciate. Someone who didn't take themselves too seriously and was around for a good time. I could tell he was a good soul. "Welcome," Bistros said to the man. "You must be Vegas Strickland." "One and the same, but please call me 'Always Winning'," said the man. "Winner of five streak Big Pot Jackpot tournaments." He sat down and asked for a large glass of lemonade with a fork inside the filled glass. It was an odd request, but hey, to each their own. The table was now full, but no one knew why we were there, who invited us, and what the reason was for this meeting. "So, I'm guessing you all got the same invite that I did?" I asked. "I guess so," responded Soriano. "That appears to be the case," said Monsieur Huile. "Mine was delivered to me at the card table," explained Vegas. "We found ours on our car windshield two days ago," mentioned Bruiser. "I'd love to know who is wasting my time," the Boss added, looking impatiently at Bistros, who was standing in a puddle of his own sweat. "This is very peculiar," I said. "What may we all have in common?" "Gentlemen," Bistros said through quivering lips. "I...I..." Suddenly, Bistros whipped out two from his pockets, aimed them, and...

I'm going to be honest, I have drove past this unassuming building in Johnstown for years without…read moreeven knowing it wasn't deserted, but that it was diamond in the rough. In this part of Johnstown, it definitely is a rough area. Parking is either on street or across the street in a gravel parking lot beneath a billboard. If you do park in that lot, do be carful crossing the street as it can be a busy one. Plus there is a slight curve that a driver might not see you while your rush across the street. Once inside you can tell that it lives up to the bar and grill in its name. It has this look inside that gives off this 80s dining vibe. One that calls back to those eateries once found in the mall. You know, those ones where it's almost too dark to see yourself let alone the menu. One where it is very dark wood, heavy on the brick, and all things that make you feel like your in and old time inn. Once settled at a table, we had our menus in hand and were given some time to look them over. Our server came back, took our drink orders and left us for a few more minutes to finalize our decisions considering the menu. Once we decided orders were place and we just waited for our food to come out. It gave us time to look around the place and take in our surroundings. When we first got here, there weren't many people. As we ordered, there were more and more customers that came in. Filling up the tables and making it feel warmer. We were in the midst of conversation and our food came out. I ordered the Franklin Street Bar & Grill Famous Meatloaf. This comes with a slice of the thickest homemade meatloaf I have ever seen. Plopped on top of a pile of mashed potatoes then topped with fried onion rings and smothered in brown gravy. This thing, even though not exactly as described and pictured, was delicious. Not sure if it is fame worthy as I have never heard of it, but hey, I will make sure to remember this when in the area again. To note, entrees are served with your choice of soup, salad, or applesauce, and comes with a homemade dinner roll. The service here is stellar. They all go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and their memory is like a vice grip. One thing you do need to keep on your toes about here, watch your step. With the dimness and small step ups, it would be easy to trip. They do have signs everywhere, but they can be hard to spot if you aren't aware of your surroundings.

While we were eating, several staff members were having loud and inappropriate conversations with each around the bar area, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable and unprofessional. The most concerning issue was with the food allergy handling. A friend in our group has celiac and clearly informed the waitress that he needed gluten-free food. He was told that both the wings and fries were gluten free, but after eating, he became severely sick, indicating there was likely gluten contamination or misinformation about the menu items. For someone with celiac, this is a serious health issue and should be treated with much greater care and attention. Overall, the service, professionalism, and allergy awareness were far below expectations. I hope the restaurant takes these concerns seriously and improves staff training and food safety practices moving forward.
