Dad wanted a low-key birthday dinner & asked for Chili's! Thursday evening at 6:30 for a party of 11 was a 45 minute wait. Staff was friendly & welcoming. From order to table was about 45 mins. My nephews order was not brought out with the group. We were told that it was being made now and would be out shortly. Another 20 mins- his order was not out. Had to flag down another waitress as we did not see ours for some time. A manager finally came out with his order. She came back to bring the ticket and ask if we needed boxes & never came back with the boxes lol. Food was good, especially for the price. Okay, one of the biggest surprises. I would never think I'd rank Chilis this high ever. But this place had great service. The food came out quick. And it was affordable. We started with the bottomless chips and salsa. The chips were so thin and crispy. We ended up getting two orders of that, since we quickly ate the first one. For my dinner I ordered Alex's Santa Fe burger. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The fries were decent. And lastly we ordered the chocolate molten lava cake & that was delicious and the perfect way to end our meal. I was surprised that they had sooo much more on their menu. My husband and I haven't been to this Chili's in 4 months due to repeated issues with missing or undercooked foods with our past orders. I decided to give them another chance. Another huge failure. Four months ago when we came here, we ordered the Margarita Chicken x2. The chicken was white, gummy, and undercooked. Half of our order was missing. My husband took the food back and was given $30 worth of $5 gift cards for the portion of our order that was inedible and/or missing. Finally, we decide to give them another chance today. Huge fail: 1. Margarita chicken undercooked, gummy, and cold. (I am pregnant, people!) 2. Missing side (broccoli) for Margarita chicken. 3. Other side (Loaded Mash Potatoes), they filled the container halfway. 4. Husband's pasta was cold like it had been refrigerated. He had to heat it in the microwave. 5. Chips and Salsa...sigh. Chips were stale. Salsa containers x2 were almost empty. See photos. 6. Strawberry lemonade watered down. 7. Straws were completely wet. 8. The chili was disgusting. Where did the beans go? How are you named Chili's and your chili is a disaster? 9. Missing side of corn on the cob. My husband and I work in healthcare, so we are very aware of the effects of the pandemic. This is not an excuse to sell undercooked food. I do not expect horrible service, food-borne illness, and possible death from eating at this place. This time, we didn't go back. I am done. We have always enjoyed the chicken strips and mozzarella sticks from Chili's but they apparently have switched suppliers. The chicken used to be these thick and juicy white meat strips and now they're these flat, dry and chewy versions. Also the mozzarella went from sticks to these terrible mozzarella patties. Tonight I had the pleasure of having Junior as my server, He was quick efficient and friendly, he had great suggestions for my order which came out perfectly matched. Junior seemed to be knowledgeable of the menu and options, he kept our drinks filled and our chips/salsa stocked our food came out in a timely manner hit and delicious as expected. The surrounding areas were very well lit and smelled exceptional the sizzling aroma of the fajitas gave us excitement, I had the sampler while my husband had the table side fajita salad. First ever time at this establishment, and I will not be returning. Awful service, they had gotten my order wrong 4 times, and scraped what I had not ordered off and left residues. Everytime the waitress came back with the burgers (yes it was multiple) she had brought back the same exact thing, nothing taken off until the 3rd time it was back in the kitchen, and they still did not take off all of the items that were not ordered. Disgusting bathroom, has definitely not been throughly cleaned in an awful long time. There was an immense amount of piss (pardon my french) as shown in the photo below. Cool to see everyone standing during the national anthem, cheering on the singer, President Trump and Mrs Trump, the respect for the military and the excitement of the first race of the season. Roaches and over cooked ribs!!! Whew Chile.... Where do I begin? Let's start with the over cooked ribs. The rubs were so overcooked that the bones were grey and appeared to be fossils from an archeological site. I attempted to eat two and just couldn't proceed. The manager was accommodating and removed the item from the bill. As my mother attempted to finish her fajitas, a roach crawled from under the table and slowly made an attempt to walk across the dining area floor. We immediately alerted the manager who killed the roach, and apologized for the inconvenience. At that point we just paid the bill and left. I do not recommend this location. The food was not up to par and the roaches are definitely a health concern. read more

HUGE miss opportunity for Chilis!! I have always been a huge fan of my usual dish! I get it every time I go to Chilis! I always go to the closes Chilis depending on where Im at or visiting. For some reason, this Chilis in Elk Grove has an issue with ordering online. I have picked other Chilis to order from on the app and theres no issues. But for some reason, this Chilis wont allow me to order online. Which is really convenient because of Covid, paying to order, and not getting out the car. This is by far the worst chili's I have been to. I came in on Tuesday night and was told there were only 2 servers, so it was going to be at least 20 minutes. I didnt have time to wait as had another place to go and decided to just come back another night. I came back !again tonight and was told to wait while the host checked with the servers only for her to come back and say it would be 45 minutes because the kitchen/food is backed up. This is ridiculous. Hire more staff, but this is the third strike because every time i decide to come back and give it another chance its worst than my last visit, and I will not be back.
