This one's on a college campus. Told me it was a 10 minute walk from where I park and it closes at 3p

We finally had time off again on a Sunday to come and enjoy thier yummy Sunday Brunch…read more Everything tasted amazing! Wish I could eat more I would of tried more dishes. Last time we were there I thought I was able to get just plain tortillas from the tortillas lady spot. But she looked confused then I asked for a few flour tortillas. She asked what meat I wanted to make street tacos. That's fine the pork tasted very good. But I like plain tortillas with the eggs and other dishes. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I guess next time we will ask the server. We started with the omelets this time. Very good and well made. We tried many things, hard to take pictures. It was very busy and carrying a plate didn't work well when taking pictures.

El Tapatio in Citrus Heights is not a bad spot. Place was pretty spacious and wasn't too crowded…read morewhen I went. Got chips and salsa right when I sat down, but it was about 10 minutes before anyone came to take my order. Food came out in about 8 minutes after ordering though. I got the two steak tacos meal which came with refried beans and cilantro rice. The beans were actually a highlight for me, flavorful and piping hot. The tacos were decent overall and the steak itself was definitely the strong point, but the red onions weren't finely chopped and that was throwing me off a little. Overall not a bad spot if you're in the area and want some Mexican food.

After seeing The Odyssey at the Esquire IMAX, we walked over to Tequila Museo Mayahuel for dinner…read more It was the perfect way to end our evening! The restaurant had great energy and a fun, buzzy atmosphere. The crowd was a lively mix of people from the Capitol, couples enjoying date night and moviegoers grabbing dinner before or after a show. We ordered the carnitas and carne asada. Both plates were generous and full of flavor. The carnitas were tender and practically fell apart with a fork, and the carne asada was cooked perfectly. Add friendly service and a colorful setting, and you have a great downtown Sacramento dining spot!

Unfortunately, the service was lacking during our visit. One of our meals was forgotten and we had to flag down the server to let him know. Our server also wasn't around very often, so it was difficult to get refills or ask for anything we needed. When we requested a specific number of to-go boxes, we weren't given enough and had to get up and ask for additional boxes ourselves. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but I took away 1 star for the lack of service. The service could definitely use some improvement, especially since it wasn't busy when we went. With more attentive service, this could have been a much better dining experience.

Rounding up to four stars what would really be more of a 3.5 star experience…read more The ambience is great, we sat on a cute patio overlooking the Sacramento river. Chips and salsa are off the chain. I was trying not to eat them, but I could not resist that smoky slightly spicy delicious salsa. My man and I ordered the surf and turf fajitas to share. They were just OK for me. First of all they came out and they weren't sizzling. The shrimp had nice flavor, but they were super dried out. I'm thinking that my food sat under the heat lamp for a while. The steak was really delicious, but was also pretty well done. Beans and rice were disappointing, not much flavor. The server was very friendly, but I think he had every table on the patio. He had to come back out a couple times to verify my drink order. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back to this business, but I'm not chomping at the bit to return super soon. I can see myself with margaritas, chips and salsa, and maybe a couple friends for a happy hour.

(Yes we had to sneak away to help Santa) Anyways we were sat in the back outside and the tortilla and salsa station near our table was being broke down and cleaned up. Fine right as it's late? Thing is we saw our server eat chips and dip them in the salsa he had put in a bin. Then he proceeded to wipe up the station with a wet rag. Ugh he kept serving the same chips and salsa. We were so disgusted as we saw him put his fingers in his mouth. Never saw him wash his hands!! I get it. It's late you want to start cleaning up after your shift but ew no. The salsa he brought us in sure had cleaner in it. We spoke to manager about him. The food runner brought us our food so different hands there. We hope to see this sever follow basic sanitary rules. Otherwise the experience was fine. Just sucks our server couldn't keep his hands clean.

If I consider all the criteria, including proximity, value, quality, and the sheer volume of visits,…read moreI would probably say Don Quixote on Watt Avenue has my favorite breakfast burrito in Sacramento. Let me tell you why. First of all the cost, they sell their breakfast burritos for only $8.50 each-these days that's super cheap. Secondly the quality-I've tried all five varieties of breakfast burritos here are my thoughts. -Chorizo 10/10 item -Bacon 9/10 item -Ranchero 8.5/10 item -Machaca 7/10 item -Veggie 6.5/10 item Chorizo-Bacon & Ranchero are generally the top three, I rotate through and all of them are just elite-I recommend them highly-taste-seasoning-volume-all incredible ways to start your day. Machaca is just ok-just not my favorite texture-wise Veggie just isn't my thing-I'm sure it's just fine for vegetarians but I'm not that,so yeah not for me. Thirdly their sauces are so incredible, they have two of the top sauces, their avocado blend and their chunky red, that are two of the best sauces I've run across in Sacramento-truly elite. Lastly I think I really enjoy interacting with their staff-always friendly, always personal, they always greet me with a smile on their face and in their voice-I really do appreciate them. Inside they have many tables if one chooses to dine inside while also having tables outside if one prefers outside dining. This is a casual restaurant,so no need to get dressed up or anything, casual dining at its finest. Parking is easily available as well as they share a decent sized lot with multiple other businesses. In closing, If you're ever in the Watt/Marconi area and want to try a quality breakfast burrito-I'd fully recommend stopping by and giving them a try-they have never failed me.
