I frequent Taco Tuesdays here. The ground beef is really flavorful and not too greasy and the price is great! Portions can be variable at times. I like the crunchy shells and tend to add tomatoes for balance. I also like their carne asada and pastor street tacos, although they can get a little too generous with the onions. This place is better than I expected. It may not be super authentic Mexican food but it's definitely way better than fast food while still having the speed of fast food. I've been to the location on Power Inn several times and have never had issues with the quality of food or service. Only once did I have an issue with getting the wrong soda, but they fixed it without question. Their green sauce is fire too. My co-worker has been buying the Bacon Breakfast burrito everyday for over 2 weeks. He touted them as super good. I had to try it so see how good they really are. It is a hearty burrito and good size too. So much so, I couldn't eat it all. It was a solid burrito that pairs well with their salsa. I liked it but felt it was a little too carb heavy for me. I am getting too old for that many carbs in one sitting. Nevertheless it was still a tasty burrito. I think most would like it. Try it for yourself! read more

I ordered 2 crispy tacos (1 shredded chicken, 1 shredded beef). The chicken was very moist, which was evident by my soggy shell. I was very disappointed that it seemed presentation and care wasn't taken when preparing my meal. As a suggestion, drain the chicken before building the taco. I also noticed my taco shell seemed a bit stale. I think this was from them frying the shells in advance and leaving them sitting out until they need them. I noticed about 100 shells sitting on a cart or table in the back when I walked in to order, but didn't think much of it until I bit into my taco. The problem with pre-frying the shells and leaving them sitting out, is that they get stale. The location was clean and service was fast & friendly. Tried this out because of a friend's recommendation. I shouldn't have listened though because they ordered through Doordash, so he was just hungry. I'm not paying extra money for something that's down the street from me. Food was good. Great portions, but ask for no onions in the burrito and extra guac and sour cream. They give you good portions of the other ingredients, but very little of the guac and sour cream so you'll need something to wash it down. Meat is well-seasoned. Back to the onions. They are chopped up and fresh, but there are so many packed into one area of the burrito and it is the strongest flavor ever. Really strong. The asada crunchy taco was great. The only thing is, I calculated my total before I ordered and I was wondering why my window total was around an extra $5. I thought it was tax, but when I got my receipt, they charged me regular price for the crunchy taco AND added a fee for asada on top of that!! Instead of paying $1 for a crunchy taco as advertised, I payed $4.02. I would've been happy to pay the extra meat fee if the base taco price was still $1. When I asked about it, the young woman said the crunchy taco deal is only for basic meats like ground beef. I told her that it doesn't say that anywhere on their menu at the store or online (they have the exact same menu on their website and at the store). So before you order, you should ask if there is an extra charge for everything since they don't have signs up and they don't tell you during your order. There was probably an extra charge for using card, too. EVERY other restaurant has signage for extra fees for anything. The only time I'd be back is to collect a refund of the price difference for THEIR mistake IF they even offer that. But I won't be back for any food. I'll stick with my usual restaurant for this craving. I don't like when stores don't honor their advertisements, especially if the advertisement is in more than one place. I recently visited this location and had a bit of a mixed experience. The food is always delicious. However, when we returned to the restaurant because my order was incomplete (my tacos were missing).the staff seemed overwhelmed. One staff member in particular stood out - a kind and hardworking lady who, despite not speaking much English, was clearly doing her best to manage the situation. She seemed stressed, but her sweetness and dedication to her job shone through. It was clear she was the backbone of the team, and I felt bad that she was shouldering the weight of the chaos. The rest of her coworkers seemed to just be eating, the entire time if the staff could get a bit more support id definitely give this place a five star review. read more

I'm from San Diego and this is the closest thing I've gotten to filling that Taco Shop craving! Their Rolled Tacos hit great, their Crunchy Tacos are great too, and the Carne Asada Fries are fire! The red salsa they give is nice and spicy, with great flavor. Sucks to see the few that have had a bad experience here, I've been three times to this one now, and the one in Folsom, they're pretty consistently! Drive thru is convenient if you're feeling lazy, and the inside is decent enough to eat a meal with the family. It's a taco shop, and a damn good one too! read more

I was skeptical because of the name but drove by the other days and could smell tacos so I decided to stop today after work. I was pleasantly surprised!! I got an asada super burrito and the meat was seasoned well which in my opinion makes or breaks the dish! I recommend giving them a try it's definitely worth it! This review is only for Taco Tuesday at the Watt location. I got there about 5:00pm the drive through line was into the street. I decided to park and go inside. The line inside wasn't horrible and there were a plenty of tables if I'd planned ahead and stayed. You get three options for the $1 tacos, shredded beef, chicken or ground beef. That's not bad! I got 4 ground beef tacos (guilty pleasure) and a soda for $6.50 SCORE!! You're also given a bag for chips and the salsa bar has cups, chips are really good and the salsa was great. I waited maybe 10 minutes and there moving fairly quickly with the orders. The staff was really nice as well. Now the tacos, I can't remember if you're only option is crunchy but that's what I ordered. These are a crunchy premade shell. It's a real tortilla, not Taco Bell kind, but it's not fried with the meat in it like quesabirria, just so you know what you're getting. For $1 these tacos are great and I will be back to try the other meats, but the regular price is $4.99. I'm not sure I'd pay that for these. I'll be going back to try the other menu items and for sure on another Tuesday. Main advice, get out of your car! The wait is much less if you have that option. I realize moms of littles might be better off waiting in the line, but if that line scares you and you're able to, go inside it wasn't bad. I'll probably stay and eat next time, it's a cute little spot and you can feed a lot of tummys for little $$ Also, I tried to do the $1 order online ahead of time and didn't see that option, my cart kept the tacos as full price so it appears that's not an option for Taco Tuesday. Taco Tuesday crispy tacos are only $1.50. Ordered 2 chicken, 2 ground beef, and 2 shredded beef all of which cost less than $10 after tax. For once there was not a huge line and food came out quick. The ground beef was very plain. The meat had no seasoning at all and the tortilla shell was a hard shell bought that way. The chicken was moist, but again a hard already made shell. The shredded beef was the best of the bunch and for some reason had a hard crispy shell, it was obviously fried on-site not purchased that way. Definitely made a difference in flavor and quality. The tacos contain a good amount of meat with decent lettuce, but barely any cheese. Some of the tacos you could not even see any cheese. read more

Tried this place last night around 10:30pm. There were a few cars ahead of us so I'm glad they're getting some business. 24/7 so I'm excited to have a Mexican fast food that reminds me of adalbertoes. The food came out really fast too! Got their quesabirria tacos (which comes with consume) and their carne asada fries. Everything was delicious! They weren't skimpy on the cheese and meat in the tacos and the consume had a good salty flavor to it and the fries were satisfying and crispy. However, this location literally gave us 3pieces of onions and 1 small jalapeños. What a joke! We asked for extra salsa because we had ordered so much food. Only gave us 4 total. It's more like 2.5 stars. I've been through the drive thru twice and both times they've forgotten things. I don't think the crunchy tacos are worth the price. It was weird to me how the meat tasted different each time. The shells are like premade & then fried so much that they crumble. The rolled tacos were so bomb the first time, but really weird tasting this time. I never get the salsas or any extras. They just forget to give them. I've heard that the burritos and the quesabirria are way better. I have also heard that there's better service if you dine inside. I'm going to try this place one more time and dine inside. The staff have been friendly each time so at least there's that. They just forget stuff, which is really inconvenient when doing drive thru. read more

Decided to check out the $1.50 Taco Tuesday special today. I expected the tacos to be super small because of the promotion but we were pleasantly surprised to find they were full size tacos and a great value!! We tried all three choices (chicken, ground beef & shredded beef) and all were really good. I have to say the chicken is my new favorite and we will definitely be back -- and not just on Tuesdays. We were also happy to learn that they offered free chips and salsa as well. Additionally the young woman who took our order was super friendly, nice, and a real asset to the team there! She took the time to explain the menu and specials and really seemed to care about her customers. The dining room is just a regular fast food eating area but very clean with a pleasant atmosphere. I also liked that there is a drive thru available and they are currently open 24 hours! This place is about a 15 minute drive from my house so I'm hoping another Taco Express opens up nearer to the Carmichael area.
