We love this place but today the sign on the door said "closed until further notice."

This was honestly one of the worst experiences of my life. I called ahead and placed my order over the phone. The person who took my order confirmed everything, so I expected it to be ready by the time I arrived. I got there after 20 minutes and asked if my order was ready. He said "almost ready," took my payment, and then instead of finishing my order started preparing something else entirely. I stood there waiting, thinking my order was being completed, but it wasn't even started. In total, I waited nearly an hour just to get my food, despite ordering in advance. There was only one person working, and it was clear there was no organization or respect for customers' time. The owner clearly has no idea how to run a business. If you can't manage basic order timing and customer service, then you shouldn't be operating at all. Absolutely unacceptable. I will never come back. read more

My coworkers picked up some plates for our work lunch recently and it was delicious! Very convenient locations since they've expanded. A solid option for Middle Eastern food. I give 1 star because it is halal. I spent over $100 on pizza and it was poorly made. It looked like they barely put any care into my order and one of my order was wrong. I understand that my order was close to closing time but it shouldn't have been rushed. The pizza was doughy, barely any ingredients on the pizza, and the pepperoni and cheese pizza was undercooked. The food comes straight off the grill and is SO fresh, it's scalding burn-your-mouth hot. Honestly I was confused about the menu. It's a Bad Mash of random stuff.. gyros, phillies, burgers, and pizza? Maybe that's where they got their Bad Mash Burger name from? But whatever you get, it's sure to hit the spot. Gyro Wrap 5/5* The meat is carved off the spit and they sautéed it on the grill, so your gyro comes out piping hot. The meat is seasoned to perfection with just the right amount of depth and saltiness to compliment with the tzatziki sauce and refreshing crispness of the veggies; and that pita bread! Let me tell you.. pillows. So soft and fluffy! Philly Wrap 5/5* If you think the Gyro Wrap is piping hot, wait until you take a bite of the Philly Wrap. This beast will burn your tastebuds off. The combo of sliced beef, melty cheese, bell peppers, and onion somehow really keeps the heat in, even to the very last bite. Philly Fries 5/5* Ok, what can be so special, right? Same ingredients as the Philly Wrap but on fries instead of pita bread. Well, these fries are SKINNY fries (McD's fries lovers, you know what I'm talking about). The fries are crispy and are loaded with all the great flavors from the Philly Wrap plus more cheese and sauce. Not to mention the portion size is ginormous! Bad Mash Burger 5/5* I'm always skeptical about burgers at a gyro place, but this one seems to be their specialty. Once I've tried it, I was hooked. The beef patty is seasoned just as perfect as the gyro meat and this monster is seriously loaded with all the works and to top it off, an oozy egg. Wow. This burger had better flavors than some of the other burger restaurants I've tried. Gyro Pizza 3/5* This sounded like it would be a great fusion item, but sadly it wasn't a hit for me. The pizza was exactly what its name described. There wasn't much veggies or any other ingredients to balance out the pizza, so it was one-noted. The crust was surprisingly good though - crisp with a slight fluffy texture. If there was a battle of the meats, Falafel Corner chefs would definitely be the reigning champ. Their seasoning has such depth that I can't figure out their combo of herbs and spices, and has enough saltiness to bring out all the flavors. This was my first time trying Falafel Corner, and unfortunately, it will be my last. From the moment I walked in, I was completely ignored--no greeting, no customer service, nothing. It took far too long for the food to be ready, and while I waited, I planned to eat inside. That changed quickly once I saw how dirty the place was. The smell inside was awful, and the dining area was so filthy I couldn't even sit down--I had to go outside to eat. I ordered the gyro lamb plate, and it was a complete disappointment. The rice was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for hours--possibly even reused leftovers. I also got chicken nuggets, and they were so dry and tough, they honestly seemed expired. This experience was beyond unacceptable. I completely disagree with how this place operates and hope others take my honest review seriously. Don't waste your money here. The city health department really needs to inspect this place--everyone deserves clean food, a safe environment, and at the very least, a little kindness when they walk into a restaurant. read more

100% halal menu, which is great for those with dietary restrictions. I've been here a few times and have never gone wrong with any of my selections. I can definitely personally vouch for the Badmash burger, the Philly fries, the Philly Wrap, and the curly fries. Deeeeelicious!!! Ordered 3 combo platter, one basket of curly fries & a baklava through GrubHub - Via Yelp. Everything was made on time to pick up. When I came in, I was quickly greeted by both of the guys working, one that was already doing something cleaned his hand & asked me how he could help me. I told showed him my order & I was in & out. I got my usual falafel wrap and fries. With an extra pita, it is enough for two meals! The falafel is interesting and not the usual dry balls. These are full of herbs and quite large. I ordered 2 chicken platter to-go and it only took about 10 min wait. I was too hungry to wait so I took a few bites in the car before driving off. The platter came with rice, chicken, a side salad, side of hummus, and pita bread. It was $11.99 for one platter. Maybe I was very hungry, but the platter was quite tasty. It was topped with some delicious tzatziki sauce and was perfect with the chicken. It was just missing a hint of spice or spicy sauce. Not sure if they have a spicy sauce available, but if you go make sure to ask? I also appreciate the side of pita bread was in a separate bag and not directly inside the container so it didn't get too soggy. It looks like they have multiple locations around Sacramento and nearby cities, so make sure to visit if you're craving gyros, falafel, or even burgers! Last time, I noticed they weren't even wearing masks and gloves and the owner replied to me indicating that they do temperature checks but it's too hot inside with the grills to wear masks. That's the downside of delivery... you can't just walk back in to the shop and ask for something to be corrected. Came here for lunch for the first time. With COVID-19, you are only allowed to order togo or dine out. They had two tables where you can sit 2-3 people and a few steps away, there's a short retaining wall that you can sit on too. I went in, ordered my food and sat at one of the two tables that was right outside the restaurant to wait for it. I waited, and waited, and waited. From where I was sitting, the staff can see me. There were no other customers and there were at least 3 staff working. Apparently, my order was ready and has been sitting on the counter for some time. For the life of me, I don't understand why one of them didn't bring my food out or come give me a heads up that my food was ready. The food was okay. In the mean time, I found this new place intriguing because I see that one of the popular foods here, based on photos, is a particular type of loaded fries called philly fries. The philly fries here comes with onions, bell peppers, mushroom, gyro (which apparently can be subbed for chicken), cheese, badmash sauce, tahini, and ranch. The fries were overall good; the whole thing pretty much tasted like a philly cheeseteak. The meat pieces were juicy and had a rich grilled flavor to them. I docked a star because the fries got a bit too greasy over time; they got soggy in oil very quickly so much that I ended up not finishing them. I wished the oil was drained out a bit more and if the fries maintained their crispiness like the fries in sisig fries, these fries would be golden. Friendly, chill staff dudes here. Located in the Target shopping center on the corner of Bruceville and Calvine. Restaurant is on the opposite site in the parking lot from Target near Bruceville. Food is delicious! Have been there several times and have only done take-out. Friendly staff and fast service. Plenty of food in each order. Have tried several entrees. All are delicious and no complaints! My favorite is their Philadelphia Cheese Steak. It is shaved meats, grilled with onions, peppers and mushrooms all on a pita bread with a white cheese. Enough for two and soooo tasty!
