Patty melt
Brianns H.

Starting off with the customer service by Timothy, he was very kind in greeting us in and taking our order for us.. he even went around and checked in with people at tables to make sure everything was going good. The food is DELICIOUS! Everything I come, the food never disappoints! Even with it being cheesy, it is not greasy and the shakes are SOOOOO CREAMY

We came here on a Sunday and were able to find a table inside without much trouble. Ordering is done through a kiosk, and you pick up your food at the front when it's ready. Overall, the food tasted good. The only downside was that my hamburger wasn't cooked the way I requested. The employees were friendly, and the restaurant was clean, which made for a pleasant dining experience.

Got the classic melt burger (well done) and added onions, tomatoes and lettuce. Much better than I remembered. Definitely will come back again.

The Melt (Sacramento, CA): Interior

I visited The Melt in Sacramento, CA [2070 Fair Oaks Blvd] on Wednesday, 05/27/26, around 2 PM. I was happy to come back to this restaurant, as Liz Zuniga (Guest Happiness Manager) encouraged me to give this restaurant another shot. In this visit, I proceeded to order the following food items: * Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich * Melty Mac * Tomato Soup The chicken sandwich was juicy and fried to perfection. The size of the chicken breast was huge. The spicy melt sauce was delicious, too. I added mayonnaise to enhance the flavor. The Melty Mac was decently prepared. I added black pepper on top. Lastly, the Tomato Soup was absolutely incredible and divine, just like I remembered from the first visit. What stood out about this visit was the associate, Timothy. He was so extroverted and pleasantly kind to the point where he was engaging with all of the guests inside the restaurant. I enjoyed our conversation, as he was super welcoming and ensured that I was taken care of. He even went around to offer complimentary chocolate chip cookies to everyone! I'd say his unforgettable hospitality definitely brought this review up to 5 stars. As a bonus, I liked how this restaurant offered free Wi-Fi. It was super convenient, as I needed to complete work on my laptop. The inside of the restaurant was clean and presentable. Parking was easy to find around this time, too. I'll definitely be back to try more food items from the menu.

The patty melt and tomato soup

I'll leave this as a 3 instead of a 2, but under protest. The reason being is that I'm willing to come back, but they need to make some improvements. First, the good. The tomato soup was actually very good, not simply an afterthought side dish. I ordered the patty melt...at a place called "The Melt," with pictures of items covered in gooey cheese. False advertising? Look at my picture. While the cheese had good taste, there was nowhere near "the melt effect" one would expect. The patty was cooked well, but has no seasoning... therefore, no flavor. I think they don't season it because of the supposed melt sauce...I say supposed, because there was no sauce on my melt, though the description says melt sauce. I sat there with great tomato soup, a sandwich with minimal cheese, and a soda...for $$. I would definitely give it a second try....but I guess if you actually want cheese, or flavor, for that matter, avoid the patty melt

Tons of flavor, decent sized portions! Clean dine-in and bathrooms. Patio area was cool too definitely will be back!!!

Fast, lots of choices and yummy. Garlic Parmesan fries were perfect. We all finished our meals. Sat on the clean patio. Bathrooms were locked and took a bit to get staff to check on that.

Stopped in here to grab the three cheese classic sandwich for lunch. It wasn't busy at all. The Grilled cheese was really good. Loved the buttery sourdough & cheesiness. I ordered from my app as I was using a reward & couldn't find how to apply the reward when ordering from the kiosk. Nice place but parking & the entrance is interesting. Parking can be challenging. They have a nice outdoor seating area & plenty of seating inside.

PATTY MELT and GARLIC PARMESAN FRIES

First time visiting The Melt because I was craving a good patty melt, and it definitely hit the spot. I liked that the ordering kiosk lets you customize your meal, including switching up the bread options. I chose the spicy garlic bread, which added a great flavor and really elevated the sandwich. The burger was super juicy, and I was impressed that the bread stayed crispy all the way until the last bite. I also tried the garlic Parmesan fries. The flavor was good and definitely had plenty of garlic, but the fries were a little soggy from the toppings. One thing I especially enjoyed was the selection of cane sugar craft sodas. They carry Alameda Soda Company, which I'd never seen before, and it was a nice change from the usual fountain drink options. The ranch was good too. Parking can be a little challenging during the lunch rush, but the service made up for it. Toward the end of my meal, Timothy stopped by to check in and even offered me a piece of a chocolate chip cookie to try, which was a thoughtful gesture. Overall, I left stuffed and satisfied and would definitely come back when the craving for a patty melt strikes again!

Spicy Chicken Sandwich

We stopped by The Melt near Sacramento State and were really impressed. I ordered the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it was outstanding. The chicken was thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked--not chewy at all. The spicy sauce paired with the pickle and jalapeño garnish gave it a ton of flavor, and the sandwich itself was a generous portion. The staff was incredibly friendly and even gave us a free order of fries because they felt our food took too long. Honestly, we didn't think the wait was long at all, but that level of customer service says a lot. The restaurant has a great atmosphere too. The combination of exposed brick, neon signage, a colorful mural, and historic Sacramento photos creates a fun space with a real sense of local character. We'll definitely be back.

Ok I know giving 5 stars is wild and typically for like Michelin star locations but wow this place blew my mind! I got the double cheese burger and the double bbq bacon burger and holy moly these were HUGE!! Like 5 pounds of burger per burger and it was DELIcious! I also got the Mac n Cheese with breadcrumb topping which was heavenly. Perfect creaminess and perfect portion. I also go the sweet potato fries and their house friends. Both were amazing. I'm incredibly impressed at the cost of the food, the taste of the food and the SIZE of the food. 10/10 will be telling others to come here.

The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

Amazing transformation. The inside is minimal with the diner decor, keeping the place open and uncluttered (although, there's a lady mannequin propped up near the window!). That will be fun to hang out and eat your burger and fries in there, especially if A/C is provided. The cute patio is also open to leashed dogs that are well behaved. I love that they offer combos with a shake or a fountain drink. You'll find burgers, shakes, fries, chili, and hot dogs. The menu is very reasonably priced too. I got a single Lucky burger combo with a large banana peanut butter chocolate shake (you can mix flavors), upgraded to chili cheese fries, and also ordered a separate fountain drink. The cashier was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Service 10/10. Given a buzzer and found a table inside. Food came up in about 5 minutes. Good burger but had way too many onions (easy fix though). I wouldn't mind a softer bun, but it was fine. The Lucky sauce is similar to thousand island dressing, and they had a few other sauces available that I still need to try. The fries were great! Battered, seasoned, and crispy. Shake was thick and not too sweet. They use real fruit, but not sure if they use real ice cream or soft serve. Either way, it was still delicious.
