I wanted to like this place. I'm sure we were there when they were super busy. There was a pop up shop event in the parking lot... and a good amount of people but still.... 40 minutes for a couple skinny smash burgers, a shake and fries? It's kitschy but I don't think we'll be back.

Went here with my best friend over the weekend and was super impressed! Everything from the inside decor to food taste to the ambiance was just right! I got the barbecue bacon burger+fries and shake meal, and it was perfect. I could definitely go back for a side of fries real soon especially lol. I really enjoyed the shake, but it was on the smaller side. I will say it was priced just right and came out in good time. My best friend and I sat outside and it was perfect. Such a lovely day to sit in the back patio is very cute with plenty of seating. Looking forward to when the double-decker bus is set up for seating inside of it. thank you for the great customer service and for doing such a wonderful job with the place. I used to come here when it was a dive bar! Lol. I can't wait to be back!

Burger was good. Smashed to perfection w/ fresh veggies - a very yummy for the tummy burger. -Chile cheese dog: "spicy ".... Dip your fries in, it works.... - Salted caramel mike shake: WINNER....this thing was good. My go to flavor and this might just took over the #1 Salted caramel shake spot.... -store vibe and feel was very chill. Bice patio w/ a bus in the work. Plenty of parking, easy in and out. -Serving was cool. Took our order and called our number. -Overall: nice spot in cool area. A must check out Sac Town spot.....

The burger was really good, and the reason why is I always judge a burger by the fires that come with it, these fires was seasoned and perfect, and I got the double lucky burger, real good and juicy, I also got milkshake and the spicy ketchup, the spicy ketchup wasn't my thing, but lived the milkshake and my wife loved the chili cheese fries, they were real cheeses and there was cheese in every bite, you gotta eat in the backyard it's a real good vibe, & they play all the old school jams, I bet it's way better at night, this is a must visit place Overall 10/10 Food: 10/10 Vibes: 9/10 -just because you can't eat in the buss that was back there Tip: 0 top Will return / yes

Came back here for the single Lucky burger meal, and I did enjoy it more this time! I even added jalapeños which made it extra delicious. I love their fries and also had a much better experience with the sauces this time. The garlic aioli was much more garlicky in flavor, and their ranch was also really good! However I still feel like they could use a better bun! It was a bit too dry for my liking. If I could give a 4.5 star rating, I would! This was my first time trying their milkshakes and I loved my blackberry one! It would be nice if they could do some kind of swirl, that flavor would taste great swirled with vanilla. But overall great milkshakes, I liked that they were thicker so you can eat them with a spoon, and also it won't melt right away while you're eating!

I've been hearing about Lucky's Drive-In for awhile now and finally had the opportunity to check it out. Went on a Saturday around 4pm and was fortunate that there wasn't a long wait. The restaurant has a good size parking lot so you won't have issues there. The menu is pretty straight forward and I ordered a double lucky burger which is two patties, cheese, special sauce, onions, pickles and lettuce. There's tables inside and outside so plenty of room to find a spot to eat. The food came out pretty fast and I took my first bite, the burger was delicious. Cooked very well and tasted fresh. The fries were seasoned great! Definitely a great spot for Sacramento! I'll definitely be back again. Thank you Lucky's Drive-In!

As a lover of everything vintage, this place was fabulous! The diner drive-in vibe was great with decor indoors and on the patio. The double decker red bus is with going to visit, but you will definitely enjoy the burgers and fries while you are at Lucky's! I had the single burger with fries and a side of garlic aioli, the bun of the burger had a great taste and did a great job holding together the messy and tasteful burger. The sauce on the burger is great, kind of similar to an in-n-out sauce. My hubby got the mushroom and cheese burger and it was delicious, be sure to grab a fork it's even messier! The fries were thick and crunchy and we ordered both ranch and garlic aioli to try and both were tasty! Plenty of parking and again loved the vintage vibe! We will be back and will definitely tell others to visit too!

I've been wanting to check out Lucky's Drive-In and finally got to drop in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. Walking in I was surprised to see how clean this place is. I took a moment to glance at the menu and decided to order the Lucky's Double with fries, and a Peanut Butter Banana Shake. I love that you can mix in the flavors for the Shake. First off I just want to say that the service here is amazing. The cashier was patient with me and my friend as this was our first time here. When the food arrived I was surprised to see how big the portions were. The fries were overflowing into the bag and my burger was enormous. Let me just say that Everything tasted amazing as well. The fries were well seasoned, the burger tasted amazing with the soft bun and the shake tasted great! I love how clean everything tastes, I could tell the quality is good here. There is a difference between the food here compared to McDonalds. I didn't have that yucky feeling after eating a meal here. Overall I would highly recommend this place and will be back!

We had been meaning to try Lucky's Drive In for some time, and this weekend we arrived early to find an empty parking lot and no line. It was our lucky day! Ugh, that one was bad even for me... Anyway, jokes aside - we went in to a really pleasant, clean dining room and friendly cashier. We ordered a couple of kids meals for the littles, and we both had the mushroom Swiss burger, fries, and shakes. The burger was tasty, if a little small. For the price, I wanted a Jasper's Giant Hamburgers size (old school Sactown referenced IYKYK), but it was adequate and I'm cheap. The fries were surprisingly standout, super tasty and almost a batter fried vibe. They also let us try the four sauces - of which I would say the house made ranch and spicy ketchup were the stars. Shakes were THICK, and the salted caramel was delish. It's going to be dope once the outdoor bus is converted to seating, but the patio had a cool vibe either way. By the time we left the lot was full, and so was the dining room. We'll be back.

Took the Vette for a spin and picked up a friend who is a fan of vintage muscle cars, though I think the '74 barely qualifies. We both ordered the BBQ burger with fries and a coke. It was busy and service wasn't fast, but when the pager buzzed, the food arrived hot. Buddy Dave was thrilled with the 50's style diner decor and the food. It was a good outing. We checked out the double decker bus (without going inside).

Attended the Trunk or Treat at Lucky's Drive-In with my aunty, cousins and kids. Such a cute experience for the young crowd, free candy and friendly Jeep owners. I was excited to try this place so I tagged along. My first impression was this place is spacious and clean! Far compared to the dive bar that existed here years ago. There was a line, but service was still fast. Looks like they have hard working employees so don't forget to tip. We all ordered a variety of the Lucky Burger, mom added mushrooms and aunty made it double, it has a special thousand island sauce so my cousin didn't like it, she gives it a 3. I ordered the Cherry Coke for $0.99 cents extra, they serve you a clear plastic cup with their homemade maraschino cherrie puree, just top with whatever soda you prefer, I chose Coke Zero. This was bomb, a very classic soda shop Roy Rodger's flavor. Let's not forget the extra crispy fries which were freshly made and delicious. After a few bites of my Lucky Burger I noticed the chopped onions and I love this lil detail. The flavors melded well together from the melted cheese, freshly cooked beef patty, chopped onions and lettuce on a grilled bun with special sauce. This place delivered a classic burger joint experience, with a real home made taste and I was satisfied. I definitely will try their chili and dogs next time.

Just so happened to run into this little spot by accident. Nice and clean inside with a patio area. Burgers weren't big but good size I'd say. I ordered the Bacon Ranch w fries and the wife had the Lucky classic. Best part were the fries! Crispy and soft center. My burger had a lot of Ranch and I wasn't a fan of. Onions could be diced smaller but not a deal breaker. I think the style of ranch killed it for me. Wife's burger had a ton of mayo but over she enjoyed. Service was good with a nice guy taking our order.

Bacon cheeseburger with garlic aioli

Glad we came here an. Checked this place out. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and casual. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with garlic aioli and it a side of fries and a blueberry lemonade. The burger tasted extremely fresh and was delicious. The bacon was crispy, the lettuce was fresh and crisp and the bun was fresh and toasted perfectly. The fries were like beer battered fries and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and man that Lucky's sauce for the fries is so good. The blueberry lemonade was was very fresh and had pieces of blueberry in it. My son had a cheeseburger fries and a milkshake. Everything was kiddo approved so you know it has to be good.

I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

It's funny I've lived in the Sacramento area since 96 and somehow had never made my way to this neighborhood until the fore mentioned Yelp event, but let me tell ya-this neighborhood is so cute-coffee shops, bakeries, nurseries, restaurants, ice cream shops-it's got it all and this brewery is such an anchor for the neighborhood-a beautiful gathering spot to either begin or end your evening. This particular visit was great-the patio spot in the back where everyone hangs was great-such variety of people,ages,cultures-it was a true melting pot of all the things I love about Sacramento-I seen people with dogs-people with young kids, even babies in strollers-I saw people on dates-I seen people just hanging catching up after long week-it's such a chill spot-I loved it. Now let's get to the beer-we had 4 beers in total on this particular visit. 2 pints of The People Lager($7.50 each)-This is a great beer-feels like very friendly beer and easy drinking beer-I would get this again-7.8/10 rating 1/2 Pint Stout Kang Imperial($6.00)-This is the beer I came here for and I remember having it at the Yelp event-it's a very coffee forward stout and it's packs a punch-pretty sure double digit ABV-it's not for everyone-it's very strong but I love it-9.2/10 rating 22 ounce stein-Mystic Cloud($9.00)-This is a Hazy IPA and yep this was the star of the day for me-I loved this drink and as much as I loved the stout-this will be my order going forward-great beer-9.3/10 rating We also ordered the Pulled Pork Fries($15.00)-I had these on a previous visit-they were yummy then and they were even more yummy now after drinking almost 40 ounces of beer-I would fully recommend this as a shareable for anyone looking to eat a little something while enjoying the incredible suds they have at this brewery. Overall it was a great visit-I love these guys and gals who are running this brewery-they are all so friendly and welcoming and they are serving a superior product and the pride they have in their beer and food shows-I am so happy this brewery is a part of my world now and I can't wait to go back.
