I've been several times and every time without fail they take a long time to sit us without there being a line or wait-list. This is absolutely the worst place to eat in all of El Paso, and when i say all that includes walking out to the desert and picking up a handful of sand and eating it. It is really a shame because my family has enjoyed Chilis all over Texas before we moved here and i am afraid that this particular one has ruined it for us. We have given them multiple try's thinking that it was just off nights, but it keeps getting worse. Good restaurant, relatively good food (as expected from Chili's), and the waiter was excellent, always helpful. I ordered a mango flavored iced tea and i almost immediately emptied it, since I was pretty thirsty... and then she brought back 2 large refills (they had unlimited refills). The food came and the waiter saw that the drinks were going fast again (this time my family joined in drinking that iced tea), so she brought another 2 iced tea drinks (these were jugs by the way, so you can tell how thirsty we all were ;) In any case, it was very good service, and I will definitely return there again if I can. read more

The ONE star I will give this place was for the overly-enthusiastic waiter who at least loved his job (or faked it well). Otherwise, I will never eat at this big box, Velveeta-cheese, chain store again! We were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted to walk to something -- this was nearby. Having never been to a Chilis restaurant before, I had nothing but the TV jingle running through my head to go on, but I thought, with the word "Chili" (as in Chili pepper, flavorful, spicy, other-words-like-that...) we would get something tasty after a long days' drive. No. Not even close. My husband order some pork green chili -- usually his favorite. Chilis interpretation of this usually yummy and spicy dish? Campbells brand chicken and rice watery soup with 4 or 5 tiny pieces of what may have ONCE been green chili peppers but were now merely greenish-brown, flacid micro-squares floating amongst the rice that he had to actually ask me to help him look for to see if any chilis actually existed in the dish. Overall taste? SALT. I ordered the days special -- the breaded shrimp that purported to come with some sort of lime dip. Underneath the tasteless breading that I ended up picking off, the shrimp tasted like it had been soaked in a salt brine for a couple of days and had no remaining natural shrimp flavor what-so-ever. The "lime" dip actually was a disgusting green-colored sauce that tasted like blue cheese dressing with no hint of lime -- actually quite a disquieting and unpleasant accompaniment to the already salty shrimp. Finally, my son had a regular bacon cheese burger. Now how could anyone go wrong with that? Well, try putting maple-flavored bacon that he said was SO sugary and fake tasting that a 14-year old couldn't even stand the sweetness, and you have your answer. Fake MAPLE-FLAVORED-BACON on a hamburger??? Who comes up with this stuff? There was a Chilis Restaurant in our hometown (Boulder, Colorado) that went out of business last year. On my way back to San Diego. PROS: Waitress (Valerie I think) was good, but seemed like a robot at times. Waitress came around the right number of times. Food was pretty good or I was really hungry. Clean inside as expected. CONS: Water tasted like they had gotten it from a water hose (NASTY) Waitress got my order wrong (beef instead of the Chicken I ordered) Waited a little long for my refill, TOGO box and Check. Service was great no complaints. Food was mediocre at best. I don't go out to eat very often so I may be more partial to the " home cooked" taste. I can remember when Chili's enchilada soup was something to get excited about however, when I had it on Wednesday... It tasted like a Taco bell special soup.. Throw some chicken in a bowl use Taco Bell's mild salsa or red sauce, stir and enjoy. There should be a big YUCK sign on the front door! My husband and I went here for dinner and had to get up and leave. 1) Table had the previous persons hair and old food on the table 2) silverware was dirty 3) potholder that was on our appetizer was coated with old dried on stuck food..eww 4) our spinach dip included a label dated 02/13/13! Went on a Tuesday and not very busy, didn't have to wait to be seated. Everything was going ok. Took a bit long to get drinks. Longer to get appetizer. Dinner was good food well cooked no problem there. Problem hit when I had coupon for a free dessert. There were 3 of us. 2 ordered the same - strawberry covered cheesecake and I ordered a brownie with ice cream and chocolate syrup. Bill came and she said she took off the most expensive dessert. Cool! But no she did not. Wow. Obviously in a hurry most of the time we were there. To her credit I pointed it out and after she got a bit irritated she fixed it. Let me start by saying that after dining here I understand why it was half empty at 7:45 on a Saturday night. If you have only one host working the door at 7:45 on a Saturday night, you are doing it wrong. If the second person waiting at the door has to wait five minutes to be seated when the restaurant is half empty, you are doing it wrong. If a table of one has to wait for 30 minutes from the time they are seated for a burger and fries when the restaurant is half empty, you are doing it wrong. I don't know who my server was, because she told me someone else (who never came to my table) was going to be my server and never gave me her name. I was seated for five minutes before getting asked about a drink (when she told me that the no-show server would be my server), and then waited five minutes for it to arrive. The people at one table next to me left, and it was 15 minutes before the table was bused (however, when I left 55 minutes after arriving, that table still had not been wiped down or had the chairs straightened). Another table sat covered with dirty dishes for more than five minutes before being bused. When I finished, I pushed my plate all the way across the table and then sat for nearly five minutes waiting for the server to come by with my check. Because she entered the table number incorrectly, I was charged for another table's use of the Ziosk games and I couldn't even use the Ziosk to pay. This place needs a lot of work. I give it one star because when I finally got my dinner (20 minutes after ordering), I could tell it was fresh and it tasted good. read more

I am rating this restaurant based on the type of food they sell. This is not supposed to be a high-class establishment. Their prices are entry level for any sitdown restaurant. My wife and I have gone to this restaurant dozens of times and we have always been thoroughly satisfied. It sounds like some of the reviewers had some issues that were likely isolated to their experience. I have never had any of the issues that have been listed. Service has always been good, I have always enjoyed food, and the prices are good for what you get. read more

Chili's (N Mesa location) has been the one place in town that I know I can depend on for good food, delightful drinks, and a great atmosphere. The ambiance is always good, not excessively loud where you can't hear yourself think. There are diverse food options, with new items consistently added to the menu. And even if something should go wrong with your order, Chili's always makes it right. I have never given any other restaurant in EP 5 stars. Way to go Chili's!! read more

I've never written a review in my life but I'm so disgusted I downloaded this app. It was easily the most disappointing meal I've had out in an extremely long time. The burger bites were just hard bread and a tiny piece of gross meat. their "to go" service is incredibly slow and I watched my food sit on a counter for 20 minutes while 10 servers passed me and the 2 other customers waiting for our orders and they never even told the host we were waiting. I'll never go back. Ever. In fact, they should just close down the restaurant. If your to go service is that crappy, I'd hate to see what their service was like in the dining room! read more

This Chilli's is horrible. We had chips n salsa and the salsa was water with tomato juice. When we asked for thicker salsa twice the manger came out and said he was adding tomatoes to thicken it up but never brought out more. This was our third time here and won't be back. read more

I normally LOVE Chili's....but not this location. The food is generally good (what you get at any Chili's), but the service is always terrible. The only waiters that do a good job are Thomas and Alan. There are several female waitresses who give you serious attitude...also, you have to consolidate your requests because there is no chance that they will come back. Tonight, we asked for napkins and didn't receive them until after we were completely done with our meal. Also, the restaurant closes at 10pm and we showed up at 8:30--there were plenty of empty tables and booths, but the hostess told us that "there were no tables available in the restaurant, only at the bar." As I have worked in a restaurant before, I know that people are in a rush to get out of work ASAP...but come on, they weren't going to close for another 1.5 hours. I could understand this reaction if we had showed up at 9:30, but come on! So basically, you can expect that the food will be good, but just be prepared for terrible wait staff. read more

I am usually a big fan of Chili's but this location needs to work on its customer service BIG TIME. My boyfriend and I ordered online and it took us 30 mins after the designated pickup time to get our food. About 15 employees walked by us waiting before someone finally offered to check on our food. I found this most disappointing because it was 3:00 in the afternoon and the waiters had no tables to wait on...we were literally the only one's there. The manager never came over and apologized for making us wait an hour. We were offered dessert but they chose for us without asking....when we finally had a chance to eat our food it was soggy and seemed like it had been sitting out a long time. 8/25/16 Just finished riding over 800 miles on my Harley. Wet cold from the rain and very hungry. I was greeted with a smile from the hostess. Figured I would get the fastest service sitting at one of the tables at the bar. Since three servers standing there talking to the bartender so I figure they couldn't be too busy. I sat and watched other customers come in. This was outside of the bar and the other servers were taking their orders. A female manager walked up she seemed rather surprised when I asked is there a server here at this table that I can take an order. Not sure what she was thinking. At this point I pretty much had enough of waiting and proceeded to walk out. Another server from the back was walking towards me and I'm sure she could pretty much assumed that I was pretty disappointed with the service there.
