We ordered the tacos with chicken, enchiladas verdes with carnitas and a tamal. all were soul-satisfyingly good. We got a cafe de olla to go and it is probably the best coffee I e ever had. Very tasty! The family opted for a mix of different plates. Enchiladas (green & red) they look a little different (like empanadas almost) but they were tasty - preferred the green. Also had a torta which was pretty large. A smothered tamale plate (cannot recall the name), the tamale platter and the parillada meal that a couple folks shared. Overall the food was tasty. We did have a little bit of an issue with some cold plates and slower service but overall not bad & we'll try it again at some point.

Even hubby was impressed with how homey it felt and he was already hangry. It was PACKED with locals since it has a good happy hour and a lot of the cars at Leo's went to the next lot where Clasico was. The waitresses were so nice and accommodating even though they were slammed. They seated us at first at a small table but moved us to a larger table once others left so that our food can fit. I got a mango chamoy drink with lemonade since I didn't feel like beer. It took a while to get our drinks but they didn't forget us, they were just really busy. I got a Clasico burger and it came with onion rings, I jazzed it up with bbq sauce and put some onion rings in the burger and it was fabulous. Buns were still a problem, but again that might be a Texas soft bread thing. I just wish the buns can stand up to sauce and won't disintegrate. Hubby got the Norteno and he said it was bland. I told him that's why they gave you condiments, you dress it up the way you want. They didn't have chicken strips so we got the boneless wings and the kids didn't like them, since they were over fried, but they devoured the fries, which were perfect and we got them a basket of extra fries. They were still hungry and I had to make them a pizza later on that night, thank goodness for GoPuff delivery. I think that it's a great place for afterwork drinks and their happy hour prices are really good. The service was one of the best I've received in a bar like environment. They also have a drive thru! We'll be back to try more items, especially happy hour drinks! After I received my drink several waitresses walked past me and I finally was able to ask one if i could order food with her. She said they didn't have shrimp for the ceviche so I went with a carne asada torta. After I placed my food order I was not checked on again, I really wanted another cocktail but the waitress never came back. I got my food to go, paid and left. The food was ok, the meat was overcooked but was seasoned nicely and had good flavor, the fries were also seasoned nicely. I didn't get any ketchup or salsa that would've made the food more enjoyable. The service was lacking and I didn't return or recommend to my travel companions.

Hopefully, the kitchen experience was just an off night.
