Vaquera Burger with Clasico Caesar Salad
    Alex W.

Clásico is a classic example of El Paso food where it is overhyped with awards to finally be tasted and be mediocre at best. Food: I got the Vaquera Burger which was recommend by our waiter (who was barely there) and it was just okay. The burger patty itself was not seasoned well and a little over cooked. The other meat was the tastiest part of the burger but had zero wow factor. The side Caesar Salad I ordered was laughably small and barely had any dressing on it. Atmosphere: The outside patio area looked nice but the misters are aggressively spewing out mist to the point that some tables were literally drenched. I understand El Paso is hot but come on. Overall: It was just okay. Seems like a good burger. Heard I should have ordered their tacos but don't expect much after this 1st experience. Will probably go one more time and if nothing better probably not again.

My family and I came to eat as usual to Clásico which we love! And the host was about to seat us and this girl "Valeria Rodriguez" not sure if she's the manager came up to the hostess and snatched the menus off her hands and told us we had to wait 15 minutes beacause they were short staffed yet they were serving all the other tables. We understood and sat at a table outside which she sat us in. Super rude and mean to me and my family, we had to leave because we waited much more than 15 minutes and no one even went to our table to ask if we needed even water The west side one in front of Cinemark

I felt like a burger today and we went out as family to eat, but both Chase the Taste West and Leo's was closed when we got there even though Google Maps said they're open. ‍ I'm not even mad because We ended up at Clasico Kitchen Bar and I didn't know it was so close to us! Even hubby was impressed with how homey it felt and he was already hangry. It was PACKED with locals since it has a good happy hour and a lot of the cars at Leo's went to the next lot where Clasico was. The waitresses were so nice and accommodating even though they were slammed. They seated us at first at a small table but moved us to a larger table once others left so that our food can fit. I got a mango chamoy drink with lemonade since I didn't feel like beer. It took a while to get our drinks but they didn't forget us, they were just really busy. I got a Clasico burger and it came with onion rings, I jazzed it up with bbq sauce and put some onion rings in the burger and it was fabulous. Buns were still a problem, but again that might be a Texas soft bread thing. I just wish the buns can stand up to sauce and won't disintegrate. Hubby got the Norteno and he said it was bland. I told him that's why they gave you condiments, you dress it up the way you want. They didn't have chicken strips so we got the boneless wings and the kids didn't like them, since they were over fried, but they devoured the fries, which were perfect and we got them a basket of extra fries. They were still hungry and I had to make them a pizza later on that night, thank goodness for GoPuff delivery. I think that it's a great place for afterwork drinks and their happy hour prices are really good. The service was one of the best I've received in a bar like environment. They also have a drive thru! We'll be back to try more items, especially happy hour drinks! Amazing food, good service, nice little place with an amazing chill vibe with some bomb ass salsa

    Impressive beer selection

This review is only for their beer selection. Hubs and I popped in after grabbing dinner elsewhere. We sat at the bar and chatted up the bartender. Apparently they dropped the price on their Lindeman's framboise - Which is kinda of hard to find back in my hometown. It's an import, so I was actually pretty surprised to find that this place in TX had it! They had several different kinds of any beer that they had - Super impressive. They have a nice bar with a super cool beer/cider/fruit beer selection. Large screens if you're wanting to watch a sports game. Pretty poppin'! Nice spot to hit especially if you're staying nearby.

My wife, and friends routinely drop by this location or the one one East Montana to enjoy their meals and cold drinks. Regardless of the dish that's ordered, they are always nicely done, delicious and plentiful.

The food is not good. Worst brisket I've ever had, and in Texas no less. Find something else, this restaurant only serves disappointment.

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

As I've explained to many of the locals there's a huge difference between New Mexico and Mexican food. I figured while I was in town visiting family for the holidays I'd check it out. Walking in I was surprised to see a full salsa bar that you can help yourself to a wide variety of salsas to choose from. We ordered a quesadilla, and some tacos. I started with the quesadilla. Boy do I love a good quesadilla! It was a love at first bite! The cheese was just oh so right. It was heaven between two tortillas. I quickly moved in on the tacos. I added some of the cilantro, green salsa, lime, and onions. The salsa was a little spicy but I savored every bite! It was a quite a delight! I gotta hand it to these guys, they make some great food! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

We ordered the flautas with chipotle sauce and the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce. The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. We added a runny egg since we couldn't do chicken, and it gave the dish extra flavor and a good boost of protein. The flautas (which I'd honestly describe more as taquitos dorados) were crunchy and tasty. We liked the chipotle sauce that came with them, but we actually loved dipping them into the chilaquile sauce even more. Overall, it was a great spot to grab breakfast before hitting the road again for many more hours. Highly recommend!
