Well, this is what I get for getting sucked into those viral TikTok trends about these damn Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks. I was one of only 3 other people in the bar area, but for some reason the food still came out late (and cold). If you look at all the other pics of the Moz Sticks, you'll see how it's "supposed to" look. Then you can see what was brought out to me. Then the sad looking wings, with barely any sauce. And before anyone says why didn't you tell them about it? I did tell them. I said that the wings and mozzarella sticks had almost no sauce and the moz sticks were cold. She walked off and came back with two small cups of sauce. No apologies for the cold food, no offer to bring another few moz sticks out. lol Oh well, at least the chili queso was nice and hot! I came here with my husband mainly to try the Wicked marg drinks they have this month. It was very crowded on the night before Thanksgiving. The ladies in front helped take our names for the waitlist (about 30 minute wait). We walked around the plaza until they texted us our table was ready. Our server, Christian, was very attentive and made our dinner experience enjoyable. Our appetizer and food came out fast but maybe because we were just a party of 2. I noticed other larger groups took a bit longer for their whole order to come out. I had gotten the brisket quesadilla which was very delicious but my husband got the steak and quality was okay. We probably wouldn't get the steak again but would definitely come back to try the other food and drink options. The Wicked marg drink was strong but good, and only $6! read more

Recently, I got an email from Chili's saying that I earned a reward, but had 7 days to claim it. The reward was a free appetizer with purchase of an entree. Normally, I would have visited the Chili's in Lakewood, but I was planning to redeem a couple other rewards nearby, so I figured why not try this Chili's here in Buena Park Downtown? You can find this Chili's just off La Palma Ave between Stanton and Dale. Plenty of parking nearby since it's just north of the actual mall, but keep an eye out for the parking spots dedicated solely for curbside pickup. There are 5 spots right in front of the Chili's To Go sign and a few more angled spots behind those 5. When you order online, you have two options: Curbside and Delivery. Seems a little silly to not have an option for physical pickup inside the restaurant, but you can still do that if you elect to pay inside. Since I paid through the app, I could stay in my car the whole time. Or well, I tried to, but I had to briefly exit my car since my driver's side window was up. I thought the server would have handed me my order on the passenger side given that she would have been coming from my right, but turns out they always go to the driver's side. Oh well, now I know for next time lol. What did I order? For the appetizer, I went with the 8-count bone-in wings. I would have gone for the 12 or 16-count, but the reward's stipulations specifically said those higher counts wouldn't work. The Triple Dipper, a selection of any three appetizers, wouldn't have been a valid choice either, but luckily, the 8-count wings, either bone-in or boneless, was a valid choice. When you order wings, you get a choice of two different flavors and two sides of dipping sauce. There are ten flavors to choose from, or you could go with plain. I went with Honey Chipotle (medium) and New Sweet Chili Zing (mild). For the dipping sauces, I chose ranch for both, much to the chagrin of my Buffaloanian Yelp friends lol. You know who you are, but sorry, ranch over bleu cheese any time, any day :D For the entree, I went with a bowl of Chicken Enchilada soup. I definitely didn't want the entree to be a full meal because that plus the wings would have gotten me bloated. Luckily, the bowl of soup counted as an entree and would be something I'd recommend to qualify for the freebie. However, the bowl was a little small, more like a cup I would say. There is an option for a cup of soup, and given how small the bowl was, I can only imagine how much smaller the cup would have been. The soup did taste good, especially with the tortilla strips, which came in a separate small cup. However, I thought the soup could have used more flavor given the small size. I was pleased how there was plenty of tender chicken in the soup. It really did feel like I was eating a chicken enchilada sans tortilla, and since I liked the chicken in the soup, i was getting myself hyped for the 8-count wings. The wings came in a standard-sized, but transparent, takeout box. One cup of ranch was right side up, but the other was upside-down. Not sure how that worked out? The wings weren't divided, so it was pretty easy for the two flavors' sauces to mix with one another. However, I was a little surprised at the distribution of wings for each flavor. The Honey Chipotle wings were all drumettes whereas three out of the four Sweet Chili Zing wings were flats. Interesting distribution to say the least. Nevertheless, the wings were pretty large in size that I was able to use up both cups of ranch in their entirety. Unfortunately, bigger doesn't always mean better. The flavor in the Honey Chipotle wasn't as prominent, and the chicken from all the wings tasted more rubbery than fresh. I'm guessing the chicken wasn't cooked long enough, but overall, they weren't bad. I was a little disappointed they weren't crispy, though. If they were, I probably would have given 4 stars instead of 3. I wish the wings would come with celery and carrots, which is customary at Buffalo Wild Wings, but their website menu doesn't mention either of the vegetables, so I definitely wasn't expecting them to suddenly appear in my order. The presentation of the bowl of soup could have also been better. I saw remnants of spilled soup on the side of the bowl. I wish they had cleaned it before the server handed me my order. When you arrive at curbside pickup, check in via your confirmation email. You're given a 5-minute window as to when your order would be ready. My order was handed to me at the tail end of that pickup window, but the server did apologize for the wait. I didn't hate my meal, but I also didn't love it. I doubt I'll return to this location because the Lakewood location is way closer to me. However, if you live close by, I would say it's not a bad spot to patronize if you want some comfort food, but you won't have a difficult time finding one better nearby with the abundance of eateries in the area surrounding Knott's Berry Farm. read more

If you have a choice between here and any other chili's or dinning experience choose the other place. Checked in for a party of two and was told it would be a 15 minute which ended up being a 30 minute wait No big thinking maybe the service would make up for it... nope only made things worse. Ordered chips and salsa (ranch on side of course) and triple dipper with no bacon on the mini burgers . Got our app burgers were absolutely covered in bacon. Then we finished our chips and the server ask if we want some more chips we say yes and she takes the basket that has chips and then comes back and goes we are out of chips. super bummer! Ordered our main entrees and with a side order of fries. Get our entrees missing the bread for the pasta and side of fries. Bread comes out waiting for server to come 5 minutes later and remind her of the fries (definitely a forgotten item). Then you would think things couldn't get worse, but we then did not see our server Sophia any where near our section for about 25 minutes. No one came and checked on us or anything. We paid out and were just sitting there for about 10 minutes trying to get to go boxes just to be ignored by everyone. Have given this place multiple chances anytime we do to go. They always forget an item in our order or it is completely wrong when we come. Just horrible customer service and communication all around. Just do not go here! read more

Husband wanted a burger while we were running errands. Chili's was across the street, so we went there for the 3 for me. We both got a salad, the smash burger with fries and a soft drink. Everything was great. I liked their fries, the burger had a nice crust on the edges, not dry. Even though I was hungry, it was more than I could finish. What a deal for $10.99 each. Service was great too. Sorry, I can't remember our servers name. (Young, trim, long dark hair laughs easily). She was fun. I also enjoyed the general vibe of the place. Food the triple fajitas rice is salty, the protein is bland (both chicken and beef), same as for the double burger meat was bland and lack of salt and flavor didnt taste the ranch dressing i have to go the burger. The food was good as always, but was extremely disappointed with the service. A member of our party ordered the fajitas trio, which was $26.39. Watching carbs because of diabetes, we asked our server Alexia if we could replace the rice with something else like vegetables. She said, "I'm sorry, but we can't do that." After we finished ordering and she had left, I saw multiple plates walk by with broccoli, asparagus, etc on them. 1) Why couldn't they "do that" and replace the rice? 2) Why didn't Alexia offer to see if an exception (to a stupid restaurant policy?) could be arranged? 3) Are vegetables that much more expensive than rice that they can't be substituted? These were the most vile unnatural Nashville hot crispers I've seen or tasted in my tenure as a chili's team member. Shit tasted like a salty tire. A glob of that congealed blood clot of NH could kill a 1600s peasant, and it damn near killed me, a man in his physical prime. I feel like I may genuinely pass away after ingesting the meal, even after scrubbing away as much of the cursed sauce with a napkin. Second customer: This shit was so low quality I feel like I could make this in the back with an air fryer with a bag of chicken tenders and a bottle of Nashville hot sauce, not that I would ever subject someone to this torment you call a signature sauce. I would never recommend getting the Nashville chicken crisps they would have been crispy if they didn't have a pool of sauce in the bowl along with the pound of salt in the sauce. I felt I was playing with a zen garden in my meal, I couldn't even eat my fries because they were sopping wet in that atrocity you call Nashville hot. I have never been this disappointed in a meal and I'm fat as shit, like pushing 350. Next topic: how rude could a server be, because this guy apparently thought It was fucking hilarious to give us SIX waters and for 3 people I was so enraged I put that last piece of slop you call chicken in the water. On second thought, maybe that water was to soak away that sauce and make the chicken palatable for human consumption. Get fucked chilis. I wish I could give zero stars for the service we received at this Chili's location on the evening of February 1st. The experience was beyond disappointing due to the absolute failure of the manager on duty between 8 PM and 11 PM. We were quoted a 30-minute wait time, yet we were still standing there 50 minutes later with no accommodation. No communication. No updates. And certainly no apology from the so-called manager, who was one of the most unprofessional, impolite, and dismissive individuals I've ever encountered in customer service. To make matters worse, we had spent the entire day at a hospital before coming to this Chili's, so we were already exhausted and hungry. Instead of receiving an ounce of empathy, we were met with rudeness and complete disregard for the guests waiting. Waiting 30 minutes is being patient. Waiting an hour when you were quoted 30 minutes isn't something you should expect your customers to have grace for. After 55 minutes, we noticed several empty, uncleared tables sitting there while we remained standing. We finally began cleaning off a table ourselves just to get seated. When I later walked to the restroom, I counted at least eight empty tables and booths that could have been used. This wasn't just an understaffing issue--it was poor management at its worst. The food was fine--as expected from Chili's--and our waitress, Giselle, was kind and professional. But the awful, completely unqualified manager ruined the entire experience. If you visit this location on a weekend, beware of the dark-haired manager with glasses--she is completely unfit to work in hospitality. Would I recommend this Chili's? Absolutely not, unless they get a new manager who actually cares about their job and their customers. read more

Came to Chilis after seeing the triple dipper on TikTok. We got the fried mozzarella, crispy chicken crispers, and big mouth bites. We also got the classic sirloin 6oz with mash potatoes and replaced the steamed broccoli with fries. Additionally, we got a side of white cheddar mac and cheese. I'm saddened to say the fried mozzarella did not have a cheese pull like you see online but it was still good, it was soft not crispy like I was expecting. The steak was very chewy so we will be skipping on that one for the next time. My favorite part about the meal was the big mouth bites, they were phenomenal 10/10 hands down. The mac and cheese was also very delicious, will be getting it again, it was very cheesy and definitely fulfilled that mac and cheese craving I had. The crispy chicken crispers are so crispy and the chicken was moist, I felt like they were lacking in flavor but overall was a solid chicken tender. Overall the experience was good. We came on a busy Friday night but we waited less than 10 minutes to be seated (Party of 2). It was a good environment, many birthday celebrations. Regardless of it being super busy, our waiter Jeff was very attentive and took good care of us. He was very friendly with a great personality and positive attitude. Our visit at Chili's today was phenomenal. We did have a little bit of a mishap with one of the entrées but our server and not only stayed cool, calm & collected, but she was not only apologetic and very attentive to us the whole entire time we were there. Myself & a coworker brought our group of special-needs individuals in for lunch, they love having a value meal, but still getting a good amount of food to enjoy since they don't always get that at their homes. Had I not seen the smokehouse, it would have been a so-so experience but man the smokehouse combo was well worth it for all the food you get. My experience at Chili's was an electrifying one because of the unique food options. At first I didn't have high expectations of this meal because it is an american fast food chain, but they definitely exceeded my expectations. Deals like their dip trio, 3 for 10, and triple starter deal made meals way cheaper and I was able to try so many more options. Even though, the food was a bit salty I had an amazing experience. In my opinion, a must try item was their molten lava cake. Hot chocolate cake paired with a nice vanilla ice cream creates a fusion of delectable tastes throughout my body. The portion of this cake is huge as well. Also service here was amazing, our server always checked up on us and I didn't need to ask for refills. Overall I would rate chilis a 8/10 due to the food being a bit salty but still amazing nonetheless read more

Horrible experience, I don't write one star reviews very often but after our experience at this Chili's it's definitely warranted. They need to do a serious overhaul on how they quote wait times. We had a large party after my son graduation so we called ahead. They quoted us 35 minutes, then when we got there they said 45, no problem we know it was a Friday night and we had a party of 9. After waiting over an hour we went to ask how much longer as the entire group was cranky and starving and they said probably another 45 minutes to an hour. Are you kidding? Man what a horrible way to end the night that was supposed to be a celebration. If we would have been quoted a more realistic time from the beginning we would have just left and gotten food elsewhere. Had the best service yesterday when I dined in for dinner! Scott was a great waiter. Very friendly and attentive! My son ordered the mac and cheese with corn on the side. For some reason the mac and cheese came out tasting bitter. Scott was understanding and took it back right away to get a new serving for my son. Second batch was great! According to my son. I ordered their brisket quesadilla and shared the fajitas with chicken and steak. The quesadilla was a hit! Very tasty and the brisket was delicious! The fajitas were ok. My daughter got herself half rack of bbq with fries and coleslaw. Everything was delicious, I personally love the green bell peppers and grilled onions on my skillet and I always put some of my red rice in the bowl of black beans that comes in my order. Yum! Yum! For drinks and I will only call out the adult drinks. We ordered the mango iced tea and strawberry lemonade lol okay lets go to the real adult drinks which were only a couple. The patron margarita, presidente margarita and finished with another patron margarita because my dad liked it was kinda strong lol. Crowded on a Friday evening. Seated 12 minutes before our table ETA. Luckily if you have a bit of a wait you can still wander around the plaza or go across the street to Kohl's and window shop. Lots of variety on the menu that my sister spent some time figuring out what she wanted to get. They seem to have it all with cocktails, beer, wine, margaritas, starters, pastas, ribs, steaks, fresh mex, and etc. The restaurant inside is spacious. Our server was Andrea. She was around when we needed her. The three of us were seated in a booth. There's a restroom to the back right of the place. There was a bit of a wait for the food. The Secret Sauce Burger is thicc and juicy. Still trying to figure out what's in the sauce. I want to say it has an aioli taste. Super filling. I had to force myself to finish eating the crispy and well-salted fries that came with the burger. The Brisket Quesadilla is a lot due to the amount of cheese which overpowered the brisket at times. We ended up getting it to-go. I like how big the plastic mug you get with the water is as well as the sturdiness of the mug handle. The water tasted a lot better with the salty food. The TVs were all on and tuned into our local sports games;" they are located both in the bar and throughout the restaurant. We had excellent customer service tonight, from the greeter to the server to the manager. There was a mistake with my order. The server apologized right away and told the manager. The manager came out and apologized for the mistake. She offered to take my order off my check. She also asked if I wanted something else. Overall, they were very attentive and quick to own their mistake. Their attitude and willingness to make things better made me forget that things did not come out exactly as I ordered.
