Christian was a great server. Very helpful and kind. Definitely recommend sitting with him. The smash burger is bomb and the restaurant was quiet and comfortable.

1st time in Chili's, restaurant was packed tonight on Sunday. We ordered Chicken Crispers Combo, Classic Sirloin Steak w/ Mash Potatoes Triple Dipper Meal & Molten Chocolate Cake for dessert and everything was very good! Our server was Super Friendly (unfortunately forgot his name) he came back couple of times to check if everything was good and also took care couple of our requests about our meal! A well spend late evening at the Chili's!

Met three former co-workers here for lunch and we were seated in a booth in the bar area. The bartender was our server and was excellent (and had a great sense of humor). I ordered the Oldtimer Burger which came with fries. We came at the lunchtime rush so it took about 20 minutes for our food to come out. My burger had cheese, pickles, tomato, and lettuce (I requested no onion). The burger was juicy and everything on the burger was fresh and flavorful. The bun had been grilled and was very greasy - by the time I finished I felt like I'd washed my hands in a tub of Wesson oil. The fries were just fine as was my iced tea. It was a decent meal enhanced by great service. This Chili's is located at Downtown Buena Park mall so there is a ton of parking.

So many different food options and great combos at Chili's, including soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, chicken, and pasta. Typically timely and friendly service. No complaints! Good location for dates, family dining, or any occasion

It was a busy Monday! Our host was very nice and we wanted to sit in the booth instead of the high chairs so we waited 15-20mins. Our server Jessica did a phenomenal job! She was very friendly and attentive. I would say she was the best sever I ever had, thank you for making our experience wonderful. Chips & salsa 7/10! Watermelon tea 6/10 Triple dipper: everything was on point crunchy and delicious. 9/10 Ultimate smokehouse 9/10! Lava cake 10/10 was very yummy

Stopped by our local B.P. Chili's after the batting cages for some delicious burgers, nachos, and fun margaritas. We were seated quickly in their cozy and comfortable little dining room and feasted on deliciousness for a while as we were catching up on stories and activities. Our awesome and friendly server delivered our meals in a timely manner and we can't wait to return soon!! Thank you Chili's

Finally, I got to leave a Chili's without being mad! This location was in a mall parking lot (like most). We had to park a little ways away because it was Saturday night and the place was busy! We had a 30 minute wait but there was places to walk. When they sent a text message letting us know our table was ready, we walked right back. Even though it was busy, the waitress was great! The problem with most Chili's is that the places are understaffed. I couldn't tell if this place had a staff shortage as our waitress was always there when we needed her. I have the app and there was bottomless chips and salsa. Be careful, the chips are addictive! We had some great cocktails too. I recommend the Coconut Margarita. Even the friends at the table were in live with it! The food came out in a reasonable timeframe. It was the right temperature and taste. We couldn't fit desert. We left full! Everyone in the group gave this place the "thumbs up."

I've been dying to try the triple dipper at chili's, and it's honestly a great option if you like variety. Would suggest going with one or two of your friends so that you can mix and match all of the appetizers family style. We went with the Honey Chipotle Mozzarella, Fried Mozzarella, Nashville Chicken Crispers, Crispy Chicken Crispers, Sliders, and BBQ boneless wings. Our favorite was definitely the Honey Chipotle Mozzarella. We love mozzarella sticks, and this had the perfect crunch, cheese pull, and our favorite part: the flavor. We wish we got the Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers instead, and would completely recommend this flavor if you like hot honey. The service was good, but food did take a little long to come out. Everything was fresh and hot, and we will be coming back for another Triple Dipper soon.

We're not from the area, but we stop by this location at least once a month and it never misses. Even when it's packed, the staff turns tables seamlessly without ever feeling rushed. It's true clockwork; and I say that as someone from the industry. Quoted a 25-minute wait and were seated in about 10. Josh greeted us while pre-bussing another table and immediately set expectations, hitting every step of service naturally. His professionalism and genuine personality alone sold us, so much so that I ordered margaritas (EXTREMELY rare for me) including all of our food. I do highly recommend the casamigo margarita with an added tajin rim. The manager even checked in and delivered drinks personally. Food was hot, fresh, and consistently excellent. Spotless, efficient, and hands-down my favorite location. If I were still running restaurants, I'd try to steal Josh and the entire staff! Lol

I was so excited to have the triple dipper!! The restaurant was super crowded and we waited about 40 minutes to get seated. The mozzarella sticks were soooo good but I would probably pass on the wings and replace it with something else. Overall the drinks were super sweet also so that wasn't ideal. It was so lively and full indoors and lots of people celebrating birthdays.

The Nashville hot mozzarella sticks has been the best thing Chili's has ever done to itself and whatever little genius in the test kitchen who came up with it needs every single accolade the company has available. I'm serious, if y'all ever take that thing off the menu, you're done-zo. I tried the Alex's Santa Fe burger though and was thoroughly disappointed. The picture made it look so juicy and thick and succulent and it was just oozing and overflowing with guacamole. The real thing was nothing of the sort. I literally audibly said "where's the guac?" when the burger was delivered to me. It was hiding underneath the bun. One measly, browning, little ploop of guac. I mean, look at the picture I took below. Then look at the picture on the menu. Do they look like the same thing? I think not. Trickery. Subterfuge. What a sham. Also it was lukewarm by the time it got to me. What a farce. I also tried the Southwestern Eggrolls for the first time. They were good, but they weren't really what I was expecting. I was basically expecting Cheesecake Factory's Eggrolls. The Chili's ones weren't crispy. They were kinda soft and doughy like pastry. They were still good though. I will give myself one more shot of being adventurous at Chili's. I will try the fajitas next time. If I don't like them, I'm literally only going to get the triple dipper from now on. Oh, also service was a bit slow. Ambiance was fine.

The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!

However, you don't always want to feel like you're trying too hard to change your scenery, bumping you too far out of your comfort zone. The answer my friends, is the good old classic American dive bar. Now, many places like to call themselves a dive bar just because they never clean a single inch of their establishment and have seedy patrons that love to play the more than occasional 80's songs on the jukebox but don't be mistaken, a good dive bar is hard to find. Well, I happen to have found one and it's in Fullerton of all places. That's right, Fullerton, not Los Angeles, nor Hollywood nor some pop-culturally over-hyped city. What makes The Blue Door a good dive bar? First, there's earned consistency & routine. The drinks won't always be made well, or the bartender won't always be attentive but if you come a few times, you'll soon know at what time and day the drinks are made properly by knowing the schedules of the bartenders. Secondly, the drinks are stiff, the service is friendly and nobody bothers you unless you bother them. The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM. They're not just there when the hipsters are around, they're there for you whenever you make the bad decision of using alcohol as an anesthetic. Stay searching for the last remains of Americana my friends....
