We ended up going to chili's for lunch on a Saturday around 11:30. It was really packed! With that being said, I was surprised we were able to be sat so quickly. I was there with one person and we both ended up ordering the $10 meal that includes a drink, a soup/salad/chips n salsa choice, and an entree choice out of 5 entrees. She got the margarita chicken, which was just ok. The menu even starred it as a fan favorite, so I guess we were expecting more than it was. Good for one time but wouldn't order it again. I ordered the original chicken crispers that came with corn on the cob and fries. It was a lot of food! The fries and corn were really good. I didn't like the batter on the chicken, but that was probably just me. Others may like it but they were a bit too greasy and soft for my liking. The waitress seemed very busy to we tried to cut her some slack. She was always carrying something and getting our orders on the run, but she managed it and even got us teas to go. I have gone to Chili's probably since it opened. The menu changes drive me crazy. So today I picked out a plain type lunch which consisted of chips and salsa, a salad and a bowl of soup. I figured that would be a fairly nice option. Oh, and my husband and I shared a chocolate molten cake. Everything was ok but the soup. Now I cook and know what cream of chicken soup taste like and the soup tasted exactly like that ! It was weird and unappealing. So maybe their other soups were good and I just got the wrong one. The manager here was really super cool. I don't remember the food being stand out or anything but I do know that he was super accomodating. I met my cousin and her three little girls (all under the age of 4) for lunch. The day was a super hot one. We opted to wait outside in the car with the buzzer since the waiting area was full. We didn't hear the buzzer go off but the manager came looking for us. I had mentioned to him that we were waiting in the car because of the 3 little ones. CFS was GREEZY and the grease needs to be changed. It smelled so bad I didn't eat much of it. my dinning partner had a bock burger and liked it? Cilantro outlet. Can't stand the cilantro they throw on everything. Their bowls of chili are served in salsa bowls. They removed all the good salads that aren't packaged with cilantro. There just isn't anything good anymore. Tried it with my girlfriends after being gone three years. Nope. Still crap. Still making small servings and charging more. This Chili's has had AWFUL service both times I have been here. The first time was to grab drink at the bar with a friend. The bartender didn't acknowledge us for a while even though she wasn't busy, and never asked if we wanted another round. Today, I placed a mobile order and was told it would be ready by 5:50. At 6:03 I called and was told they would be bringing it out shortly. 45 mins later, waited on hold for 6 mins to get the same response- that it was ready and they would bring it out to curbside. Eventually I had to go inside, asked to talk to a manager. Finally was able to and she said she would bring it out. Once my food was out we noticed that the drinks were missing. Got home to cold food, missing food, and realized that did not give us drinks. My brother and I were visiting mom for Mother's Day and needed to head home after dinner. Because this took too long, we ended up having to take it on the road since we both had long drives home for work the next day, and did not get to eat dinner with the family. Ate there on may 19th 2018. Service was horrible. Server never came to check if we needed a refill or if the food came out well. He brought out both our appetizer as well as our main meal while having his finger in our soup and then for the main course having his finger in our vegetables. Not happy at all. read more

Food is ok but what turned me off of this place is that I made a dinner order with them through Door Dash during the Pandemic (when we aren't supposed to be going out) and they decided the cancel the order. No explanation or reason. Now they aren't available to order from until tomorrow morning. Kinda defeats the purpose if they don't take orders for dinners. read more

Went here to get a couple steak dinners. Decided on the baby back ribs one with broccoli the other with asparagus, and an order of Spicy Panko Onion rings to share. Did not take long to arrive and we soon learned why IT WASN'T COOKED! The ribs had a hint of sauce and were almost cold. Both vegetables were raw and barely warm! Who the hell eats raw asparagus? Our server (which looked like she was elsewhere) asked if all was alright lol! She sent a manager over who asked if he could have our vegies steamed, yeah right like I want our plates to disappear to add who knows what to them! Today I found myself sitting in the last booth closest to the kitchen. I could see quite a bit of what takes place there. I saw a lot of hands on the food. It seemed mostly from the last person who finishes up the plate after it has left the cooks. They poor the brocoli out of a bag and then push it with their fingers so it looks nice. i have been to a lot of chili's restaurants in my life, and some of them really stick out in my mind with the great service that they provide as well as the nice job they do with the food. it is predictible, which is what i want and need from time to time. but i have run across a location with the most inconsistent service as well as quality of food and drink. on two consecutive nights, i ordered the same thing (i know, boring--but i was not in the mood the second night to be adventurous), and the first night, everything was perfect. the cup of red (chili) came out first, and the steak that followed was done to perfection. i had to order the chocolate lava cake--or whatever they call it, and they did a bang up job on that. the second night, what happened?????? the red comes with the steak, the steak needs to go back because i'm not ready for it (don't ever deliver chili or soup with an entree), and the steak comes back dry and overcooked. the cocktail was on the wimpy side, and they couldn't even understand the difference between on the rocks or up. be careful when you go to this location. so far, it's been the only one that i have ever had any problems with. read more

Today my youngest daughter took her daughter and 3 other friends to Chili's for lunch. It started with a narly hair in her plate! The waitress saw it and took the plate back. Then one of the others @ the table pulled a really long hair out of the bite in her mouth! One other person @ the table got so nauseated he hit the bathroom. Thirty minutes later my daughter had vomiting and diarrhea! Everyone else was very nauseous except for the guy who got sick before they left! There are too many other good places to eat in Bastrop! Absolutely ridiculous! I called to get on the list, whomever answered the phone was in such a hurry that she didn't get my name or phone number right. So as soon as we pulled into the parking lot I told the hostess she assured me that everything was correct! We waited for and hour and a half before we finally left. This restaurant seems to screw something up every time we go in. And I get upset and say we are never going back! Then after I've cooled off a bit I think you know everyone has bad days let's give them another try. It's only getting worse! I understand that is hard to find good help right now but these people flat out just didn't even give me the time of day. Unfortunately I have to say I can no longer give Chili's in Bastrop a pass! Unless it is a Holiday or a Friday or Saturday night the service is good and the wait is short. The food is always consistent and considering it is one of the smallest Chilis in the chain around this part of Texas it is suprisingly okay. I do agree that perhaps when the people who decided to put the restaurant in Bastrop that they were not realistic in determining the size needed to satisfy the fastest growing area around this part of Texas. All in all though since I am never there in a hurry have no real complaints. read more

Normally have great food and service and we still had that today but at lunch we came in with our coupon for a free dessert and for some reason a particular bartender, Kelly, never let's us use the free app or dessert coupons when we order a lunch combo meal. Says that the cost of the free item is more expensive than the entrée so they won't accept it. There is nothing on that coupon that says a lunch entrée cannot be purchased. It has other specifics like you cannot order an appetizer as your meal, but nothing about the lunch combo. Other waiters have let us use it. I wouldn't mind if the rules on the coupon stated cannot be used at lunch or with lunch portions but she just pulls that stipulation out of nowhere so it angers me. And the lunch combo I ordered cost more than the dessert did. read more

Not my first time visiting this location, but definitely one of my better visits. It was a slow night, so we were sat and greeted quickly. I don't remember our servers name, but she was very polite and knowledgeable on the menu. Tied one of the margaritas, and was happy with how it turned out. The food took a little longer than expected, since the restaurant was slow. The food was okay, minus the new mac n cheese they added. The bread crumbs really dried it out. I suppose that's the only negative thing I can say, but its also what stands out the most. All in all, I will definitely return. read more

I always want Chili's till I get there and eat. It is never as good as I remember as a child, but then again it was luxurious to eat out as a kid and now it is the norm and I do at least five times a week. This location is always crowded and the service it's great, but the food is just bland. Good margaritas though. read more

I use to go quit often. What I miss is the steak and ribs, although there where a few times when I did not get the steak as I like. The bar ladies take care of you quit well specially when you have one to many. You can not give enough thanks to those that go out of their way to take care of customers specially when they may have had enough to drink. Deserves a big tip. read more

I have a panic attack everytime I eat here. Not that I am claustrophobic, but this place is just too small. The food is, well, TGICHILIRIFFIC. I mean, it's consistently average, at best. The microwavers seem to be on their game. The wait staff is fairly well programmed. I think I have the routine memorized. I wish the Chilifolk had opened a bigger franchise. Excellent service. We stopped in on A Sunday night at 5pm after MotoGP in Austin. They were slammed but the wait was still under 10 mins. Our server was friendly, bartender got drinks out quick and the manager came around to talk to us about the race. Our appetizer came out after the meal and he happily comped it.
