Chili's is ordinarily an easy family favorite, but opting to dine here last night would prove to be a huge mistake. While returning from the bathroom, I passed by the kitchen to find our server laying on the floor laughing and joking around with her fellow staffers. I was in shock! Commonsense suggests that this isn't the kind of behavior any waitstaff should be having while serving food to customers. It's highly unsanitary, and who knows what she may have picked up on the front of her shirt that could've dropped into people's food... Totally disgusting! When she returned to the table she tried to explain in a lighthearted manner that her favorite song came on and she just felt like she needed to dance by lying on the floor chest down, banging her fist to the beat. We should've got up and left, but we were hungry and figured that perhaps she just had a very free-flowing spirit. Needless to say, when she brought the appetizer plates, which were wet from having been recently washed, the dirt on her hands left behind a brown smudge when she placed them on the table. Ewww! When the food came, the tostada chips and salsa were literally dripping with oil, and saltier than anything I've ever tasted. I hate sending food back, but these chips were truly inedible, and cold as if they were in the refrigerator. We found things floating in our water glasses, and the consensus was that the food in general was meh. In all, we had to return food twice, and although our server was pleasant and friendly, her lack of sanitary considerations was enough to ruin our appetite. We will never dine here again! read more

i came in with a group of friends before seeing a movie. we were just gonna grab something quick and leave. we got seated and began our order. our waitress was extremely slow and didn't even bring our food out to us. i ordered PLAIN mashed potatoes and yet it came filled with crap. it smelled awful. my friend ordered a medium well burger but it was very well done. and on top of that we missed our movie because of the slow service. we will not be coming back. read more

What a disappointment. My girl and I came here two weeks ago. We got the 2 for $20 deal. The service was excelent and the guac and chips were very good. However the place looked dirty, it was nearly empty for a saturday night (7pm) and the chicken fajitas were terrible! I would not recommend this restaurant to ANYONE!! Tex-Mex chain restaurant located in the busy Avenue shopping area. I like Chili's because they have decent prices and the food is good. Chips and salsa is good deal because it's unlimited. At this location, the waiters do a nice job but it takes forever to get food from the kitchen. Expect long waits on weekends. I recently came in on a slow weekday night. They weren't even seating half of the large dining room but still folks had to wait a few minutes for a table. They were doing the double server thing, so our drinks were always kept filled while we waited patiently for food. Food tends to be a bit on the greasy side here. read more

Ate here recently and was not too impressed with service. Food was good for your typical chain would give it 4 stars. Waitress talked a mile a minute and rushed u. We order appetizer and our dinner was brought out to us by someone else. And my hubby explained we never got our appetizer. So he took dinner away and eventually appetizer was brought to us and then our dinner. Not sure if in her rushing she forgot to put in app. But she never came over to apoligize to us for what happened. Something was lost in communication. Like that u can pay at the table and do survey though. More restaurants shoukd have that ability. read more

Here's the thing...I don't hold our waitress accountable for an incompetent kitchen/restaurant. We waited an hour for a corn dog kids meal, side salad and sliders....and not even half of the restaurant was filled. This happened the last time we came (two years ago) so I was hoping it had changed....not the case. We left her 20% in hope that she can quit and find a better restaurant to work at. read more

One thing I'll never understand about chilies is why they don't center their theme around.... Chili... As a matter of fact, you'll have to groom through several pages of menu to find any. But hey, their food is pretty good! Famous for them tasty chips and salad and chicken crispers. The bar is your typical chain restaurant bar. Expect to spend no less then $8 for a mix drink and no less then $3.50 for "happy hour" domestics. I usually don't order a drink from here unless it's a special occasion. When I do, it's one of their wacky margaritas that are well under poured and are the equivalent of drinking juice. It's the food that makes chili's. Service wise isn't too bad. Once or twice I've had a burger comp'd for under or over cooked or once they dumped a pound of salt on my corn on the Cobb. Overall this is a cool place. No need to wait for your check as you can use the table tablet. Kids can even play games. read more

Our server is usually Raven, and she's one of the main reasons we frequent this chilis. She is outstanding and goes out of her way to make every experience amazing. The food is always great, love their happy hour. We always sit at the bar to benefit from their happy hour. Don't know why people mention dirty dishes? Service was horrible. This was a To Go order. She didn't greet me. My order was wrong and without waiting to see if everything was okay. Twice she left me standing there to go sit down at the bar and continue her conversation with her coworker. This is not the first time I have experienced this. Chilli's is a wonderful reasturant. The service is always friendly and our orders are always right and fill very quickly. But by far the food is my favorite part. Its always excellent. I have been going to my local Chilli's for years and they never disappoint. My favorite is their triple play with south west eggsrolls, chicken crispers and Honey Chipotle chicken crispers. When I don't feel like making dinner I know I can always count on Chilli's to feed my family. We always leave full and happy. Thanks Chillis! read more

If you are tired of the same old fast food and boring entress then you really need to kick it up a notch and go to Chilis. You can start out with Fire Grilled Corn Guacamole or Texas Chees Fries. Then savor my favorite, The BBQ Pulled Pork on a Sesame Bun or a rack of Honey Chipotle Baby Back Ribs. If you are watching your weight you can opt for one of the delicious soups and The Grilled Salmon with Garlic and Herbs. Not that you will have room for desert but if you do The Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie will satisfy even the hungriest sweet cravings. We come to Chilis at Whitemarsh every other Wednesday. We have a girls night out and do dinner/movie. The food is delicious, hot and we never have to wait too long for it. The staff is always friendly and nice. Also, when it looks like it's crowded, we put our name in and never have to really wait long. They get you in and out with such ease.. Actually, my husband and I went every week when you had the 2 for $20.. That was the best deal - dessert included!! yum yum... It's just my favorite restaurant all around. I love love love Chili's! I go to hang out with my friends and to make new friends. The Bar is awesome there, and is always well stocked. My drinks are ice cold, and my food is always hot. Former server. They have a massive roach problem. My first day there, I was alerted to this when someone said, "oh look they put a roach trap right above the lemons" I began seeing the roaches a few days later. Manager confirmed that they have roaches and said "be glad we hired you when we did, we use to have a lot more". A guest saw one in the dining room not long after that. I refused shift meals and wouldn't let me family eat there. Also a cook admitted to dropping food and selling it anyway was common. By far the dirtiest restaurant I have ever worked in. read more

Chilis has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. Lately I've noticed that the service has not been as great as I remember. I went to Chili's about two weeks ago with my brother and family. The waiter we had was super slow and we sat at our table for 20 minutes before anyone came over and asked us for drinks. Then we waited another 10 minutes for our drinks, which they had them all mixed up. We ordered appetizers at the same time we placed our drink orders, but they never showed up until our meal came out....20 minutes later. I was so angry, because by the time the meal came out, I didn't even want my appetizer. What's the point? Our waiter apologized which was great and all, but this is the second time in a month that I've had horrible customer service. Normally a manager comes around to atleast apologize or ask how our meals were...we saw no one. Then they never processed my debit card until two weeks later. I went to check my account the other day, and it showed a transaction from Chilis that was two weeks ago. All in all, I love the food, but they really need to train their survers better. IF they have new waiters, they need to really have them shadow current waiters. I'll probably stay away for a while. read more

If I could give this place more stars I totally would! Such a family oriented restaurant. I place a lot of reviews but this one in particular is a tad special. My husband and I occasionally our son (when we can get him out the house) come to this location weekly and sit in the lounge area with our favorite server Brittney. I believe she's the bartender but helps with tables? Don't hold me to that. Anyways my sons 22 and autistic. We have a hard time getting him out the house to enjoy lunch with us and when we do we get all sorts of stares and our servers act so uncomfortable with him. Except when we come here. It's like she knows without us telling her. She waits so patiently for him to ask nicely for his food about ten times. This is all while still smiling and taking care of a full bar and other tables alongside us. Our order always is hot and perfect for us. Please check this place out and request Brittney ! If I could give this place one star I would. Where do I start? Let's start with my online order. l ordered three meals. My husband went to go pickup the online order and when he arrives they tell him they're out of ribs for the night. Next, the person blatantly lies and says she called to tell us they were out. We received no such call. I paid extra for ribs, and I ask my husband so what about the extra I paid for the ribs? The to go person says oh I can give you a gift card for $2. Yeah, no thanks. Then she says it would take over a week to get my money refunded so I should just do the gift card. At this point, I called and asked for the manager. I explain and he apologizes, then offers an upgraded meal and a gift card. I agreed and took one of the substitutes he offered. Here's the good part. My husband arrives with the food, and guess what? Half of the order is missing. One of the meals were correct out of three. They forgot my entire meal that was already messed up in the first place. Then, the third meal was missing its sides! I called back to let the manager know and he already knew because someone informed him apparently. At this point he sounds annoyed, and says well what do you want me to do? And the little bit of our order that was there, wasn't even good. Thanks to their terrible service we will not dare waste our money here again!
