Place close to my brother's home in Baltimore. Simple pizza, wings, burger, and salad spot. We opted to sit at the bar around 630 on a Sat evening. Good service, ample portions for the pricing, and casual atmosphere. My sister in law had the blackened chicken taco, myself the Cobb salad. Three of us converged on EWF on what I thought would be a busy night. Not so, at least inside the house because of summer vacations. Outside was another story. Beautiful weather made Al fresco dining an impulse for many. Our party chose to dine indoors. The party was my son's girl (he was our server), my daughter and yours truly. The menu is consistent. The food is too. Between us we ordered wings, sweet potato fries, a side Caesar salad, a white pizza with broccoli, their famous corn crab chowdah and their barbecue chicken pizza. The chowdah and salad was expedited quickly as were our main events. The food was excellent. Pricing is what it is. A little higher than other spots but other spots don't offer the quality food EWF provides. It's worth a little extra to get food of far better quality. Can't wait til my/our next visit. read more

GLOWS: -The restaurant is a decent size, with plenty of seating for small and large parties- on nice days it appears they accommodate outdoor seating -The coal fire wings are pretty tasty GROWS: - Some of the drinks are syrupy and thick. They don't have much craftsmanship at the bar - I felt slighted with the service. Other tables were offered daily specials and pleasantries. It was very basic service at our table - The wings are entirely too expensive. $15 for 6 wings is not worth it. - The turkey burger is very thin and the bread is very thick. First, let me start with how I got here. I had heard good things about Earth, Wood & Fire (this location) and had been wanting to try it. When I received a Restaurant.com gift certificate for $25 I looked online for places to redeem. This restaurant (this specific location) was on the list. I printed out the certificate and brought it with me. When I presented it to my server, I was met with a puzzled face and a smug reaction. "I've never seen this before. I don't know what it is and I can already tell you we don't take it." She then went to show her manager who returned to the table and handed it back to me. He said that this location is separate from the Fallston location, they are often listed together in advertisements yet have "nothing to do with each other," and he had never seen one of these Restaurant.com certificates and would not honor it. I explained that this restaurant is listed on the Restaurant.com website. He countered that this location is not, and I must have seen the Fallston address. I responded that this location's address is on the website and I only came to this location because it was specifically listed. He then said that people get confused since sometimes they see them listed together in magazines. I said there was no confusion and I started to pull it up on my phone, only to be met with, "We can't accept it." Okay, then. It was at this point that I decided not to return here, even though my mushroom pizza was quite tasty and my friends enjoyed their burgers. Generally, I really like this restaurant which is why I was so disappointed when I ordered the fish tacos (to go) and this is what it looked like (see images below) I opened this box within 8 minutes of picking it up and it was 1) a mess b) the tortilla was completely soggy (I couldn't figure out how it could get so soggy in such a short amount of time!). I've never seen a fish taco like this, which I don't mind - almost every time I get fish tacos they're all unique & different , but I've never had one with Salmon as the fish. I love salmon but in a fish taco? At least now I know, it doesn't work (for me, at least). Aside from this dish, I love everything else I've tried here (only been 2 things, but they were very good). Ambience & service is great, too **Update: I called& told them I wasn't loving the fish tacos and I was able to swap it with one of their pizzas (seriously- really, really good) & I was a happy gal. They understood my complaint, said they'd have no prob giving me a refund & I said can I just get something else to eat the same price? Disappointing Takeout Experience Ordered online from Earth, Wood & Fire, and honestly, I expected better. I got sweet potato fries and wings, but when I picked up my order, there were no utensils or napkins. On top of that, it stated blue cheese would be provided, but it was completely missing. even though my order specifically said they would be included. When I asked about it, the staff didn't seem to care and just brushed me off. The lack of customer service was really disappointing. It's the small details that make a difference, and unfortunately, they dropped the ball. Won't be ordering from here again. read more

My husband and I have been on a grilled pizza kick. Maybe it's summer? Or maybe it's a fact that we hate pulling out our grill, but we've been craving a lot of grilled pizza. I was excited to finally try this spot as I've heard about it for a while now. It's in an area I don't get to visit very often so it was nice being able to check it out. The restaurant itself is okay. Nothing extraordinary. We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive. We started with the buffalo wing special and they were extremely juicy, large, a perfect starter. You get six pieces for $16, feels a little pricey but the wings were really good and plump. Next, we ordered a rustic pizza which is a pepperoni pizza with ricotta and added it some toppings to it. I have really been enjoying ricotta on my pizza. First bite into the pizza. I was a little confused because I did not taste any ricotta. I asked her server and she said that she put the order in wrong and omitted the pepperoni and ricotta. This was a big disappointment. We ate a slice each and took the rest home. Without the ricotta to break up the salty toppings, we chose olives and bacon the pizza kind of just had one note. The server was extremely nice and offered to get us a new one, but since we had already started we felt a little weird and we were pressed for time. Very good restaurant with nice outdoor seating. Our service was excellent from the time we sat down and until the time we left. Our server took our drink orders as well as our food order at the same time. When she brought the specials, that changed what I was going to have. I ordered a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup and it was excellent. I'm glad it didn't have a dollop of sour cream on the top, as that just makes it too rich and heavy. Then the California Burger which was pepper, jack cheese and avocado. It came with a Chipotle ranch sauce which I had them leave off. I got the sweet potato fries which was my side dish. When the burger came out it was huge and it had a half of avocado on the side of the bun with the lettuce, tomato and pickles. It was difficult but I managed to slice the avocado up to fit on my burger. Though I ordered medium and the Burger came out more of a medium rare it was okay. But it was tasty and very filling and I ended up taking home the sweet potato fries as well as a slice of the flourless chocolate cake. My guest was gluten free and the flourless chocolate cake was the only thing she could eat from the dessert menu. I enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and our service. Service. I would highly recommend a visit here and a burger if you are in the mood. The pizza also looked good but I was in the mood for a burger today. Yum!!! I'm basing this review strictly on the food taste and quality. This was my first visit, and the service side was having an off night. Not sure what the issue was, but tables were waiting for long periods for food. We received our appetizer well after we finished our pizza, and I waited a while for a drink refill (the only one I was able to get). Now on to the food stuff! Our pizza was really good, we ordered a traditional w mushrooms. It had a thin crisp crust which was great, but the mushrooms could have been more evenly distributed. It was saucy enough for us (we love extra sauce) and it had great flavor. Their jalapeno app may be my favorite of this genre. The goat cheese was creamy and plentiful, and the dish was actually spicy! I savored every bite. Our server recommended the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and we added ice cream. The cake was super rich, glad we got the sweet and creamy vanilla scoop to balance it out. I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and plan to return to check out those yummy looking wings and burgers. A friend and I ordered pizzas to go. I ordered my favorite go-to, a Margherita, a classic with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil. When we got home, I opened the box to discover that their version of a Margherita was no sauce, a soggy crust piled with white rubbery and flavorless cheese, chopped tomatoes, and no basil. We were in for the night, my friend's pizza was getting cold, so we didn't call the restaurant or want to drive all the way back to to get a replacement. It was such a disappointment. I ended up peeling off the thick layer of cheese and made sort of a soggy tomato sandwich out of the slices. Any good pizza restaurant should know what a Margherita is. If not, they shouldn't be in the pizza business. Update: What's doubly irritating is that the manager or owner never bothered to respond to this review. Obviously they don't care much about customer satisfaction. I won't be going back and can not recommend Earth, Wind & Fire to anyone searching for good pizza in Baltimore. Caveat emptor. read more

In general, the food quality is good! Wings were perfect! The Bleu cheese dressing was good! Cobb salad lacked sufficient amounts of Bacon(almost none) egg and goodies that make it A COBB SALAD!!! It was 99% Romaine!! Shouldn't be stingy when charging $20 for a salad!!! . read more

Food was delicious! I got the gluten free crust pesto chicken pizza, best gluten free pizza by far... still good hours later.

I went there with some coworkers and the menu really shrank compared to prepandemic times. We had the meatballs and wings as an appetizer. The meatballs were not seasoned at all. At first, I thought it was just me, but everyone in our group was asking "Is there any seasoning in the meatballs?". The wings weren't bad, but $16 for 6 wings plus an additional charge for the dipping sauce is kind of crazy. I had the house salad with grilled salmon. The piece of salmon was really small and underseasons. Pretty disapponting for a $16 addition to the salad. The service was pretty good. It seems like there was only 1 person taking orders at the table and she was busy. We chose the restaurant since it was close to our office but I'm would go out of my way to eat there. read more

Our second stop in, we ordered burgers. Why? Because during our first try we ordered pizza, but saw many delicious looking burger variations going out to tables. Service is pretty quick and there's ample seating. This spot is very kid friendly, so if you're looking for a spot that kids are welcome, you've found it. This was a 2-3. Went with my husband and son on a Friday night for an early dinner. We ordered the Lorenzo salad, kids plain pizza and a pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. The Lorenzo salad was very good. I loved the macadamia nuts and it arrived already split into two bowls for us, so that was a nice touch. When the kids pizza arrived my toddler refused to eat it and we couldn't understand why. We get pizza every Friday from different places around Baltimore and never had this issue before. upon closer inspection, I saw they must have finished it with an oregano shaker and he didn't want "the green stuff". Not their fault, but thought this would be helpful for others to know. He did end up eating it once we finally got him to taste it! I tasted it and it was very good. The biggest misstep of the night was our pizza. I couldn't believe they actually served this when it was arrived. It was completely burnt, and not in the good coal fire pizza oven way. Brunt so that the crust was inedible and rock hard. Someone in the kitchen should have stopped this and refried a pizza, but there must be no quality control. Because we got a plain pizza with two toppings and they charge $2 each per topping, our burnt pizza was over $20, which was insane! For that price, We'll stick with Pauline gees in Hamden next time for the perfect charred crust that's still soft, chewy and airy. read more

Satisfactory customer service (not consistent), very nice restaurant decor, convenient parking lot, quick table delivery of food. I'm going to start with the negative. We've ordered takeout from EWF several times in the past few weeks. Almost every time we get home to discover something is wrong with the order. Forgotten french fries. Last night our $10 crab soup wasn't in the order. I wouldn't necessarily have a huge problem with this. I've worked in restaurants. People make mistakes. IT's ok. The problem is the business owner just decides when it's "too busy" to shut off the friggin' phone. I get it - send your overflow to Grubhub or whatever. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO ORDERED FROM YOU DIRECTLY? I called the restaurant 6 times between 7:30-10:30pm last night to get a refund on our friggin soup. Same voice mail message, saying to "try back later". Tried calling all morning today...same voice mail. Honestly, I"ve never heard of such a thing. A restaurant just not picking up the phone. It's very frustrating. That said. The food is quite good. The salads are great - good size and great dressing. The pizza crust is crunchy and chewy - great texture and flavor. Good healthy options in an area that needs the option. AS LONG AS YOU CAN REACH THEM ON THE FRIGGIN' PHONE! If you're getting take-out. Just had a somewhat early Sunday dinner here because it was on our way home. The server was friendly and attentive. No background music, which I appreciated. I ordered the black bean burger, knowing that homemade veggie burgers can be a gamble. This one was super disappointing; just a bunch of beans loosely bound together without anything to increase texture or flavor. The sauce that came with it was an unpleasant mix of mayo and some sweet BBQ seasoning. Really disappointing. The fried zucchini appetizer came with the same sauce as a dip. Sat at the bar on a Saturday night. Two bartenders were not in sync AT ALL. The one guy was catering to his regulars and very inattentive to the rest of the bar. The girl was making the table drinks for servers and rarely ever helped out otherwise. Was never asked how my food was.. my water and beer were completely gone and I sat thirsty for 5 + minutes before asking if I wanted a refill. I planned on having a third beer but didn't bother sticking around any longer. Definitely a fan. We usually come here for lunch as it is a quick and close place to our office. Portion sizes are always very generous and the food fresh and delicious. They have daily lunch specials. Their soups are always served piping hot and very tasty - especially the corn and crab chowder. The pizza was delicious but such a huge portion I had to get it to go. The salads and sandwiches ordered at our table all looked and tasted great. Parking is limited in the lot adjacent to the plaza, but you can park on the street or at the empty lot across the street. read more
