The infamous Chili's on Lamar...gotta love it. The food is fresh from the freezer and the beer pours are always an inch too low. The staff is always shorthanded and the place could use a good power washing. However, all of these things are what make it a total gem. Get a triple dipper, a Modelo at happy hour for $5, and be on your merry way. I love you, Chili's.

Triple dipper was great! Food came out fast and the staff was very helpful always checking up on us and opening doors. The drinks were cold and the sauces were good. I would definitely recommend the triple dipper or the smashburger. The bathrooms were also soooo clean!

Kicking off our anniversary date night in style. The place was packed on a Sunday evening with a wait for tables but the bar had plenty of space. We were just in for a drink before dinner. I got the monthly marg special a blackberry strawberry combo which was sweet but delicious and refreshing. The presidente marg was large with refills on the shaker. All in all a stellar addition to the Austin dining scene.

There was no wait for us to sit down but we came at 3pm on a Friday. The waitress was nice and helpful when ordering food. We both got the triple dipper one with mozzarella sticks, southwest egg rolls, and nashville hot crispers. The other had the sliders, southwest egg rolls, and honey chipotle crispers. It was good if you just want super fast/casual sit down food with friends or family. But, if you want to go somewhere nicer this would not be the place. I thought the restaurant was cozy and had interesting/unique interior design. I liked the ceiling lights, but my friend thought it was super bright. Overall, great place to eat near campus (not walking distance though).

So I recently started dining at chilis because there really aren't that many affordable casual restaurants in this part of Austin and sometimes I want to spend 12$ or less on a margarita and just eat some classic American pub fare. This one is a special one since it's been on 45th and Lamar since I've been here which for me is excellent since I live less than 2 miles away from here. Your greeted enthusiastically when you enter and the restaurant is big enough that if there is a wait it shouldn't take that long. Parking is pretty easy in front of the building though it's a little more tricky on the side shared with Starbucks. I've been seated at the bar which gets swamped making drinks but the bartender is very attentive and they check on you enough if you need to add to your order or order another drink. I would say the same for table service as well. I'm still a fan of their baby back ribs and a half rack is plenty and comes with fries avid Mac and cheese. Their burgers are also tasty and sizeable. Drinks I assume have standard units and 1-2 is just enough to take the edge off. I know this place gets made fun of in the local foodie world but in this economy Chili's looks pretty good,

This Chili's experience earned my business back. I hadn't been to a chilis in over a decade but had an insatiable craving for the honey chipotle chicken crispers and my husband for the baby back ribs. Eventually agreed to give chilis another chance, and they did not disappoint! We arrived for lunch Monday 3pm. Restaurant was mostly empty so nice quiet with all TVs on sports channels. I only saw one server but he was very attentive, checked on us several times and returned quickly with everything like to-go boxes and cocktails (which he was also preparing behind the bar) Thanks Jose! Food was freshly prepared and menu even got an update. It was apparent to me that the flavors had been upgraded before Jose told us the recipes had been changed recently including the size of the baby back ribs went from 4 and 8 for half and full rack, we counted 14 ribs on the full size rack now for 26$ my husband was pleased. Cocktails were delicious, not too strong. Honey chipotle tenders were decent size, I had plenty to take home. They took the street corn off the menu but the loaded mash and steamed broccoli were still great. The southwest egg rolls and burger sliders in the appetizer trio were just as I remembered. But the new Nashville hot mozzarella sticks did not miss! The cheese pull was real and I think it was my favorite part of the meal. It will probably be what brings me back to chili's again!

Perfection personified. Staff were very nice and great at refills. I feel renewed. I feel whole again. I love this chilis. Thank you

Hadn't been to a Chili's in almost 15 years, but if there's one to go to is the one at 45th & Lamar. I am not entirely sure what makes this location so popular, but had a great experience. Our waitress was funny and attentive. I was to sad to see they changed the breading on their chicken crispers, but still enjoyed my meal. I am not a fan of mashed potatoes, but I've always had a budding romance with the loaded mashed potatoes from Chili's. Don't be like me and spend over a decade in Austin without checking this location out.

Phenomenal experience here with great service and food! I've been to this location many times but hadn't been back in years. I was thoroughly impressed the entire night! Arrived on a weekend night during prime time for dinner, and we waited 0 minutes to be seated. Our waiter was with us shortly to get drink orders. Theoughout the entire night, he was extremely attentive even though it was really busy! Probably one of the most attentive waiters I've ever seen! Food was great! They were able to put all the sauces for the ancho salmon on the side. The salmon was cooked well, and the rice and broccoli was also tasty. I wish the broccoli was less salty, but it was still good. Chips and salsa were great too. They also gave us a bag of chips and salsa to go after asking for a take home box!! The noise level was average, and tables were clean. Parking is easy and free right outside. 11/10 recommend this location for their fantastic service!

For food, we ordered the blackened catfish, brisket burnt ends quesadillas, and harvest bowl to share. I was so appreciative of the server splitting the entree over two plates without us asking. Did I mention the complimentary popcorn and cornbread? Twas a FEAST. We arrived and in a few minutes we were seated at a table and immediately given water in mason jars and asked for our drink order. I opted just got an Arnold Palmer but the drink menu had some cute cocktails and mocktails, as well as a nice selection of beer and wine. Instead of bread, our server brought us a basket of seasoned popcorn. The popcorn had almost like a Cajun flair, but it wasn't spicy. It reminded me of the Ground Round chain from when I was a little girl. We decided to try the corndog shrimp appetizer. I couldn't decide on an entree because everything looked so good, so I did the Parmesan chicken and my coworker did the steak salad. The shrimp arrived so quickly with four large pieces of shrimp on a stick wrapped in corn dog batter and fried to a golden brown, with a blueberry mustard dipping sauce. The shrimp were delicious and while I didn't get much of the blueberry in the mustard, I enjoyed the sweetness it provided. My Parmesan chicken was a crispy and juicy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon cream, artichoke hearts, and what appeared to be prosciutto on top. It was served with a side of pesto couscous with grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I wish I had ordered mashed potatoes on the side, because I wanted something to soak up the lemon cream sauce, which was the highlight of the chicken. We also were served 3 mini cornbread muffins with honey butter. My coworker said the salad was just okay, and was a little on the small side. The desserts were definitely a MUST and if you visit Moonshine and don't save room for the Espresso Brownie or the Peanut Butter Pie, you're going to regret it. The brownie was so fudgey and warm and served with ice cream. It was decadent. The peanut butter pie was the biggest slab of PB pie I've ever had with a thick Oreo crust. I wish I had someone with me to share it, it was huge. Overall, if I lived in the area I would definitely be back to try other things.

The indoor is very beautiful and smells like cinnamon and apple (a scent that I love), especially going towards the bathrooms. Theres a bar section with plenty of seating and the room inside the restaurant is overall very spacious. I didn't see much of the indoor as I decided to sit outside in the patio. Although being during the Texas summer, the patio has plenty of (very powerful) fans! The view of the green belt next to the restaurant is amazing, and there is also an outdoor bar, which gives impeccable vibes. We ordered two starters and had plenty of food! My husband ordered the Barbacoa Stackers (slow roasted barbacoa, refried black beans, Jack cheese, JAK slaw, Cotija cheese) I personally loved them! The meat was tasty and juicy, the black beans were perfectly cooked and everything was so rich in flavor. Definitely a 10/10! I ordered the Homemade Buttermilk Biscuit, served with honey & seasonal fruit flavored butter (with a side of yummy bacon) Today they had strawberry flavor, and there was even strawberry jam. I have to be honest, THE BEST biscuits I've ever had in my life! And I love me some good biscuits! They were buttery and crumbly to the right point! The strawberry butter with the strawberry jam was the perfect combo! We were told the biscuits are made fresh every morning, and I love that! It was definitely a 1000/10! We also got some chips and salsa. Chips are very crunchy, and the salsa is spicy to the right point! Now I'm building my tolerance with the spicy and this salsa was really yummy, and can build up the spice! The waiter who served it to us, brought it over in a small mason jar and emptied it in the little container for our table, which was something I've never seen done like this. Definitely appreciated it! Makes me think they make their own salsa (forgot to check on that!) They also gave us a complimentary pita bread with pimento, and it was delicious! The pita bread was very crunchy and salty to the right point! They even gifted me a portion of peach and strawberry cobbler, topped with ice cream, for my birthday and it was insane! The flavor was perfectly sweet and mixed with the ice cream was very refreshing and still warm and melting in my mouth! Probably one of the best cobblers I've ever had! And keep in mind, we got here that we weren't feeling super hungry, and yet we were able to appreciate every single bite cause it was so good!! Last but not least - Ali, our server, was incredible! She was so nice throughout the whole dining experience and made sure we had everything we needed. She was so kind to ask if I could add peach puree to my freshly squeezed lemonade (which is a 10/10), and even made sure I had plenty of strawberry butter for my biscuits. We definitely took some leftovers home and I can't wait to have the remaining biscuit in the morning!
