Absolute banger of a place - vibes, immaculate. Food, sure to blow up your stomach and some other things later in the evening. Drinks, so sugar-y your dentist will think you've been slamming gummy bears like your millennial-necessary daily Tylenol. If you go to Chilis expecting anything other than exactly what chilis provides, that's on you. The triple dipper can easily feed a family of 8 and the double burger my husband got is easily illegal outside of the US. Go for a great time. Stop being a snob.

Always a good time. When I go to my local Chili's down the street from me! I've gone a couple times in the service. Hasn't been all that responsive but that is just because of the lack of stuff and they always made up for it! I went a couple days ago and the service jumped up and stepped up exponentially. My go-to is always the triple Dipper for the table and personally I'll get the big smasher Burger combo! You can't beat the value and the amount of food you get for the price! Inside. There's always football or local sports being played so plenty of stuff to keep you entertained! Restaurant is clean and the environment is welcoming and easy to stay and be in without feeling like you're rushed out.

I frequent this place A LOT!!! Like there's weeks when I'm he's 2-3 times (I know that sounds horrible). I've had some AMAZING experiences but also some not so good. Yesterday I think was the actual worse. We were sat by the booths near the bar and it took nearly 1 hour for us to get our order out in :-/ I understand the bartender is in charge of our booth but if they're extremely busy at the bar and have full booths next to her I feel like they should have someone helping too. It took almost 2 hours for us to get our check. If it wasn't for this experience it would definitely be 5 stars. Regardless I will continue to come here as often as I do.

    Presidente Margarita- my fave

Chili's is pretty much consistent and I have my favorites that I tend to order almost all the time. My drink is the presidente margarita. I've always liked it and its a good amount they give and leave the shaker at the table so you can finish it all. My food I loved was the crispers but now not so much. The chicken seems dry now and they didn't give the same sauce they used to give with it but the drinks are still good and the fajita plates were enjoyed by my mom and hubby. The service was good. Attentive and with a smile. Didn't have to wait long to be seated. We sat at a booth, place was clean and bright in there. I definitely recommend the place. As for the chicken crispers..not as good as before.

Traveled into town and decided to stop in for dinner before going to my hotel. Sitting at the bar with a cold beer and their famous chips and salsa (side of ranch) can't go wrong! So good and beer is cold. Service has been perfect! Bartender is friendly and very welcoming.

The sourdough pizza was really good--almost like a focaccia/Detroit-style hybrid, but with the sauce layered on the bottom. Super flavorful, crispy edges, soft inside... honestly just hit. Also--my husband was way too excited (in the best way) to see boiled peanuts on the menu, so of course we had to start there. Great call. We'll definitely be back.

The building is quite large and inside is cool as the seating is quite spacious and a large number of people can enjoy food and drink at once. Definitely not a tiny, small placed brewery...but it's true... everything is bigger in Texas! When we were at Pinthouse I spotted a Mexican Lager which is a type of lager I love and especially in warm weather... a perfect summer beer for me! The name of the beer was Burro's Breakfast. In the flavor profile of this beer you will find a naturally sweet corn flavor, some maltiness along with a tart and dry finish. The beer is light bodied like most lagers of this type and smooth in body. In addition to having a beer we also decided to get some lunch. So we got a chicken sandwich a piece along with coleslaw and had a very nice lunch. Coming to Pinthouse Brewing proved to be a good stop as we made a pretty extensive tour of the breweries in Austin.

Since we were there during happy hour, bottles of wine were half off-a great deal--and portions were very large--another welcome surprise. Twenty-three acres with pastures and gardens. Their daughter Mary was an incredible cook who loved making meals for family and friends. After getting married, she returned to live on the property for a few years. In 1946 she remodeled the farmhouse into a restaurant (which was at that time also called Green Pastures). The restaurant welcomed people of all religions and races since opening its doors in 1946 (18 years prior to desegregation in Austin). Decor/Design/Atmosphere: The grounds have peacocks strolling about and squirrels frolicking. It's like being transported to a magical fairytale land. It just oozes the generational love and caring put forth by Mary and her family so many decades ago. Lovely landscape. The Victorian architecture lends charm to the elegant decor from the floral wallpapers, stained glass windows, and fireplaces to the hardwood floors and the pastel and ethereal color scheme. There are multiple dining rooms and an upstairs bar (bar has a great peacock wallpaper). It truly feels like you've been invited to dine at a friend's house. ...And, what you've all been waiting for.. FOOD: HANDS DOWN BEST BRUNCH IN AUSTIN & MAYBE BEST BRUNCH EVER! My boyfriend and I shared the following: Fried Green Tomatoes- Comes with a crab + corn salad (that I didn't eat) my boyfriend lost his mind over the crab salad and we both lost our minds over the tomatoes. The breading was exactly what you expect on a green tomato fried up Southern-style. Light, airy, and seasoned to perfection. That batter was absolutely delightful. The tomatoes were crunchy yet warm and tender. A happy dance for our mouths. Rainbow Carrots- Wood grilled to perfection and topped with feta crumbles, a lemon vinaigrette, seeds, and hummus. The carrots were fabulously tender-crisp with sweet and tender centers. Tiramisu French Toast- The most wonderfully decadent and glorious brunch treat to cross our lips. This work of art included sticky toffee, molasses made of bourbon and espresso, and mascarpone (whipped). It left us both delightfully dizzy. We washed everything down with flavorful teas (in our own little pots). I stuck with a classic, Earl Gray as did the boyfriend who went with Jasmine Green. Both excellent selections. There are many things on the brunch menu (as well as the dinner menu) we still want to try and can't wait to get back. In fact , I will be heading back in a few weeks with friends. For that reason, I opted not to take pictures today. I do this every now and again (wait to take pics or not always take them at all...just depends on my mood & the vibe---don't try to figure me out, that's not for you to do.). 5/5 rating though it should be 10/10.

My process is to get a feel for the menu (especially if there is more than one menu available) and to increase my sample size. So let's get to it! First for appetizers, I recommend the pimiento cheese, which is amazingly done. Tasteful and the perfect start to the meal. As for lunch, brunch, dinner, I have tried multiple plates but let's just say you cannot go wrong with the chicken. Mattie's offers a chicken and waffles dish for brunch and chicken plate for dinner. Their drink/cocktail menu is also quite fun and I would encourage anyone to explore! My favorite dish by far has actually been the chicken plate for dinner. It is filling and i definitely think they have their chicken down. That said I do think the chicken during breakfast time is more on the salty side, so you may consider an alternative option. That said, the service, is subpar. Twice I had bad experiences. The first time I went I ordered the pimiento cheese as well, and our server was persistent we ordered the cheese board. That's not enough to knock off two stars, but the last time I went was another unfortunate experience. My party ordered the appetizer and we were asked about our main mean at the same time. I am used to servers not putting in your plate until after the appetizer hits the table. But that was not the case, appetizers came same time as our meal. I think the ambiance is lovely and the food is pretty good for a family spot, friends, or professional setting. However, the service it really depends who you get, as all places. It's just unfortunate because everytime I want to go, that's the one highlight that turns me off. A restaurant is just as good as the people who represent it. Anyway, all of that said, that is my justification for three stars. I think it's worth a try and I hope everyone has a lovely experience. However, if you also feel like the staff is rude and snobby, I suggest giving your buisness to odd duck, uchi, or Eberly, etc. Happy dining!

I have a few I adore, but my personal favorite will be JewBoy Sliders. I've been to two of the four Slider locations on 6th Street and the South Lamar one, and I've returned to the South Lamar location the most, so this is where the review is going. Their menu is pretty simple. You have an option between two, four, or twelve sliders, or one or two sliders with a side. I always opt for their "Weekend Getaway" with two sliders and fries. There are four sliders to choose from now. There used to be just two, but they've moved on up like Curtis Mayfield. The first is The Gringo with American cheese, smoky mayo, and pickles, and it's your basic slider. It's very sweet and goes down real easy. You eat one and could find yourself eating twelve. They're just a perfect traditional slider. I always gotta get a Gringo. The next of the two originals is the Vato, which is their original spicy slider. It has pepper jack cheese, hatch green chile ranch, and grilled jalapeños. It's moderately spicy, but it's not going to stop you in your tracks. I find it a good complement to the OG Gringo. The first of the two newer flavors is the Redneck, which is like a BBQ burger with American cheese, BBQ sauce, bacon, and fried onions. It's a strong flavor and it's definitely doing what it set out to do, but doesn't have that same immediate impact you get from the Gringo or the Vato. The final new addition is the Red Ass, a two-pepper-emoji threat not for the faint of heart. It has pepper jack cheese, fried jalapeño strings, and their evil spicy asshole sauce. It does not mess around. That sucker has a kick and will punch you in the face for looking at it funny. I love it though. Mix it with the Gringo and it's a combo of love and hate. It's endearing to have a slider that's sweet and lovely and one that feels evil at heart. I always get the fries as my side of choice, and they load me up with so many I always share some. They also slide me a smoky mayo sauce on the side for the fries. It's just excellence in a cup. If you're ever at St. Elmo, The Domain, 6th Street, or South Lamar, you gotta give JewBoy Sliders a chance and be amazed by how much flavor can be packed in their potato rolls. RIYL: All the fries you can give me
