Service is always friendly and courteous. The food is good, but I'm confused on the pricing. Here's a photo of the menu and pricing at the establishment, and a photo of my receipt. I've written in what the menu price is vs. what was charged. The difference is a total of $2.07 --- not a big deal, but multiplied by the number of customers a day and it quickly adds up to a lot more. I saw Denver food Scene post about this spot so when I was driving around doing errands and saw it was right across from the post office and it was just about lunch time I figured I'd stop in. I was just in the mood for a little snacky snack so I just got green chili fries and decided to add guacamole to spice things up. Holy moly this portion; luckily Alfie randomly came home for lunch just as I got home so we were able to share it, and honestly still only made it halfway through! This has gotta be for sharing cuz it's massive!!! Green chili was good, as always I want more spice/heat in everything flour the flavor was fine. I really thought the guacamole enhanced the flavor so I would definitely recommend adding that if you try. All in all I thought I was pretty good. This place I was so excited to try. I'm always looking for something to cure a late night drinking munchies. It wasn't bad, it was what I expected for what it was, greasy comfort food. I got tacos and chili fries, and they were good. The staff was friendly, the only thing that really got me was the server wasn't wearing shoes. Like legit, walking around the place in her socks. FALSE ADVERTISING! My experience: ordered a small Carne Asada Chili cheese fries, which clearly showed $8.99 on the overhead menu advertisement behind the cashier. But sure enough it rang up as $10.99 on the register. I asked the cashier about this and immediately she got defensive and responded 'we're in the process of updating the menu prices'. I asked again and she very rudely just repeated herself word for word. This is an unfortunate problem with the businesses in society these days. Show one price in the item, then ring up the item at a larger value without telling customers up front. If she would have said this upfront instead of getting defensive when I held them accountable for this discrepancy, then it wouldn't have been a problem. But duping the consumer, in hopes that they don't catch it, 'IS' the problem. Won't be back here again, there is always Chubbies, Santiago's, and Bubba Chinos out there. read more

The breakfast burrito was fine. There is only one default chile spice level and it is extremely mild, even for me. I don't understand places that specialize in chile that do not offer varying degrees of heat. I am glad i tried it but there simply wasn't enough flavor in this chile. It was bizarre that none of the staff would pick up the phone when the phone rang multiple times. It wasn't busy. They just had no intention of answering the phone. Saw this place when I was eating another place in the area and googled this place up. Prices looked good as well the food. I might be leaving Chubbys for this place. Yes, this place does close early compare to Chubbys, but their Chili Cheese Fries definitely way better than Chubbys! Their chips and salsa, definitely hand made and still fresh. The chicken tacos, definitely to die for! Fried made it better because all the favor of the chicken and chili stayed inside to keep everything nice and moist. This place is awesome! Probably the best tacos I have ever had. I ordered the Chili Shack plate. It comes with three grilled tacos; I chose ground beef. It also comes with a side of chili cheese fries. The green chili is so good!! My husband got the street tacos, and they were all good as well. My daughter loved her southwest burger. I'm not a fan two times I've tried and both times were burnt. The first time wasn't as bad as this time but I couldn't do it this time... when going back I was told that's just the cheese. Um, who likes to eat burnt cheese.. I've made tacos and the cheese has never came out like that unless it's Burnt.. the first pic is theirs and the second pic is when I make food. Not at all recommended.. No flavor, very greasy and definitely not going back. This is a brand new spot in North metro and came up very short of expectations. I would recommend you enjoy some smothered fries elsewhere. The inside of the restaurant needs a lot of work after taking over for smash burger everything still looks the same. The register area looks like they forgot half there stuff. Just my opinion find somewhere better to eat. read more

This restaurant only has one spice level for my favorite pork green chili, hot. While I can eat it, I regret it later. It's terrible getting older :-/. Anyways the food was good but I felt was pricier then other chains. There also was a lack of information on the menu. The bacon breakfast burrito from this place is so delicious. I get extra hot and it comes with crispy bacon, a flavorful cheesy gooey sauce and fresh cooked eggs. It's about 3 times the size of a Santiago's burrito and you can call ahead to order, meaning pick up is super quick and easy. Good food, especially the green chili. Unfortunately their menu is very confusing, and clearly their employees do not even understand how to charge things. I went in for a breakfast burrito which according to their own menu right in front of me should have cost about $6.50 plus tax maybe $7, this is already quite pricey for a breakfast burrito but somehow I was charged about $8.50, WOW I would not have purchased at this price had I known. I mentioned to the cashier that I was charged the wrong price, and she tried to explain it, but what she said did not make sense according to their own menu. First time trying them and they were delicious! We had an asada taco, a beef enchilada, rice (lots of flavor), bean burrito (beans tasted fresh and delicious) and smothered fries, haha, i wanted to get a good feel! And I wasn't disappointed by any of it.... Their green chili was yummy and spicy (kinda reminded me of chubbys chili which is delicious but too spicy so this one was better in my opinion) but not too spicy, which is good so more people can definitely enjoy it! Also, there was a lady cashier that was so sweet and friendly... one of the cooks was in the front and offered his advice when I was trying to figure out what to get andddd the manager let me upgrade the size of my fries with no problem... overall a good experience and I will definitely be back again! read more

Ordered a bean and beef burrito with chile and cheese inside. The ground beef was incredibly greasy and there was no green chile or cheese to speak of. I came across a tsp of green chile at the bottom of the burrito. Tortilla was delicious though and the overall flavor was pretty good. Kind of confusing menu and staff wasn't the most patient in helping but we are up for giving it one more try. read more

Worst experience ever, I was given what tasted like day old Chile fries, they were so stale it tasted like cardboard tried to talk to the owner Pedro he refused to remake the food and didn't even offer a refund after I gave the food back, you can get better food quality and/or customer service somewhere else steer clear of this place. We found this place from instagram, denver food scene. We live 20 minutes away. But decided to give it a go. They might need some more help. Like it was really dirty, the trash was overflowing. Poor guy was running the front by himself. There were long lines, and instead of calling out your number they ask what you ordered. They had no idea what meal everyone had. I feel bad for them. They were pretty stressed out. But we got chili fries. And it was ok. It really had no spice. Now if you are like me, and love your spice you won't like this. If you like cheesy fries, maybe give it a try. If you do go, keep in mind weekends might be a headache. They don't have a lot of staff. So you could be waiting 20-40 minutes. And it's disorganized, so that means orders might get wrong. So go on a weekday. Maybe they might improve. But I really would never go back. read more

My wife and I went in this weekend; I ordered a hard shell bean taco ( I don't eat a lot of meat) and asked if it could be grilled/ fried. Mina went out of her way to talk to the kitchen staff and make it happen! They grilled it & it was awesome!! Mina was so kind, friendly, and helpful.
