Understanding a little Spanish will help, but if you know what you want you'll be able to muddle by with pointing at the menu. They accept both cash and card (pay inside if using card). Yum! I had chilaquiles with egg, bacon, and onions. I think they put some cream on it also, hard to tell with eggs over easy. Chilaquiles we're how I like it, partial crunch. Black beans on the side, not well drained, which I am indifferent about. If you like sauces, then they have eight choices from no peppers (heat) to four peppers. Chila Y Quil is a refreshingly local restaurant that offers a variety of chilaquiles, guisados (stews), and enchiladas. This was such a nice place to come for a relaxed, casual breakfast. For the chilaquiles, it's all about the salsas! We got the chilaquiles with the unique cacahuate sauce, a tomato and peanut-based sauce with just the right amount of kick and creaminess. The dish was served with black beans, cheese, and topped off with two nicely fried eggs. The chicken enchiladas in smoky adobo sauce was tasty as well, and I also had an order of the tacos with pollo al pipian, shredded chicken in a sunflower seed-based sauce, which was a little on the salty side. This is a nice little place in downtown Cancun. It's a little hidden from the street, but if you walk on the street you can see the food cart. There's actually indoor seating. Service is ok. Their specialties are basically chilaquiles. I got the red with two eggs. It came with a side of black beans. My mom wanted to try local breakfast so we came to this place nearby our hotel. I was glad that they have English menu. However, none of the servers spoke English so it was quite confusing. We ordered based on yelp reviews but got something very different. We tried to communicate but failed so we gave up haha. Tortilla chips were covered by cheese which made them soggy. We ordered pork but only found three tiny bits of sausage... Not sure if that is how it is supposed to be :/ Coffee came in a dirty bug. I suppose yelpers would like to be aware of that. read more

Just had lunch here and it was great! The waiter and other workers translated the menu for us the best that he could and answered our questions. This cute corner restaurant was recommended to us by our driver. We were very pleased with our food and the service. We did not have to wait. Being a vegetarian there are few options but I enjoyed the chilaquiles sencillos with green jalapeño salsa. I had a Fanta for my drink. My brother had the homemade horchata and my Mom had a homemade hibiscus cold tea. En Español: Sólo tuvimos almuerzo aquí y fue genial! Very sweet staff and they were very helpful with our questions. We spoke Spanish so it was easy to communicate with them, I can't remember if the menu has English translations but they have pics of their meals along a wall outside so just get whatever looks good! :-) very affordable too! read more

I love tostadas. The chicken tostadas are the best. So freaking yummy. Had the chorizo tostada I didn't like it that much. But to be honest with you all you need is the chicken tostadas anyway with a sprinkle of salt. So yes I'm given them a five star and no I did not like the chorizo and potatoes tostada but the chicken one was five star. Plus very friendly people. The owner is great. The staff is great but they don't talk English. But they won't mind getting you someone who does. Love it there. read more

First time here and thought of trying something local and not an Applebee's or other chain restaurants. The food was not my favorite to be honest. I ordered chilaquiles with adobo and my friend ordered the red chilaquiles. My food was tasty but was on the colder side and it had WAY TOO MUCH adobo sauce. You know when your plate has too much of something and kind of over powers everything else on the plate? That happened to me. I couldn't finish it. My friends sauce for the chilaquiles literally looked like they blended tomato's with water and poured it on the tortilla chips. Just disgusting. This place was pretty good, stayed at the hotel right across the street so I needed something close by & quick. They had a menu with spanish and a menu with English which was really helpful. The guy who took our order was really nice and made sure we knew what we were getting. The prices were very very affordable!
