This place is located very far from the hotels zone. More for locals. There is no accessible or street parking, so valet is your only option. The staff is polite, not too friendly but no complains in that department. The food is what disappoints. I have been here before, the food used to be good, but today the chicken was unseasoned, the tortilla, which needs to be fried for our dish, it wasn't. The result was an awful smooshy consistency. The been sauce served cold. The pastries were ok, but not to make up for the rest of the menu. The place is full of friendly locals, which gives a very family oriented vibe. The terrace is covered so you don't suffer the sun, but the fans are not enough to cools down the whole area, so you get sweaty at the end of your meal. The prices are ok, not expensive. There fore I guess there was a balance after all. My final rating is one and a half star. Not coming back for a while.

Cafe Nader serves some really good quality food. They are a franchise, but the food is very good. So good that we came by twice during our stay at Cancun. One of my orders I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas. Pretty much enchiladas in homemade sauce served with avocado instead of meat on top freshly chopped lettuce topped off with crema de queso. Very flavorful dish. My wife and brother also enjoyed their meals. Indoor and outdoor dining available, excellent customer service, great location, very affordable prices for a very well presented dish and yes they take credit cards.

Cockroaches on the wall

I stop by this place my way to Playa del Carmen for coffee and quick bite. All was good until I saw the cockroaches on the wall, there were 2/3 of them just chilling. We advised the server and he said that he was going to tell the manager. The manager never came to our table to even greet us. Food is just bit average in my opinion.

This place was amazing!! My fiancé and I were visiting Cancun on vacation and we can't express how much we loved this place. Please don't get stuck eating in the hotel zone (expensive and the food is mediocre) and take a trip to downtown! The service is amazing and the food is well worth it! Try the café lechera (yum!) and the plate featured below (I forgot the name of it). You will not regret it!

Found this place in goggle maps by accident bc I was walking back to Rooster's where I ate 2 days ago.... Wow this place was so good..I had the French toast with scramble eggs w/ ham & cheese & large glass orange juice...The juice was FRESH SQUEEZED So delicious. My friend had omelette w/ beans , avocado and queso with shoestring tortilla chips that dish was delicious too the chips added great texture. They also brought out a basket of rolls w/ hot salasa & Verde sauces on the side... This all cost $15 ....Blown away in America the 2 large cups of juice would have been $12 . I tipped the waiter 150 Pesos which was $7usd he was so gracious but he was a very good waiter deserved every bit of it.. I wish I had taken pictures of the food but we so hungry just dug in... I did take photo if the juice.

In the past this place has always been a staple for us, but each year we go we like it a little less. This year majority of the group was disappointed in the entire experience from the service to the food. To start, the service was lacking compared to what we get at other local restaurants nearby. Our servers did not frequently come back to ask if we needed anything and we were constantly having to ask to get our waters refilled. The drinks are good, but nothing we can't get elsewhere. Half of our group enjoyed (but not loved) their food and half did not enjoy. My SO and I split the al pastor meal. In the past we have loved this, but this time it felt like they rushed to make it and the flavors we remembered just weren't there. It was still good, but I think it could have been better. I do love the churro cart here, but you can get good churros several other places. Overall, this place has gone downhill in our opinion, and for the price it isn't worth it when there so many better options close by. I'm sure we will be back, but I think we might skip a year stopping here.

The weather was beautiful, so we were able to sit outdoors. I ordered the coconut shrimp, and it came out in a coconut shell! That meal has lived rent free in my mind ever sense. I tried a bite of my mom's meal and husband's meal, and both were absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were generous.

You can tell that the waiters love what they're doing and all help each other. This place is by the lagoon so every table is a picture-taking location. But be careful of the crocodilo... of course, it's by the lagoon. The place itself is clean.. and the lagoon is clear water too. Now the food... it's as simple as, I can dine in this place everyday! It's not that expensive but the presentation, the service and the taste is like a 5-star fine dining restaurant. Even the drinks! I ordered their clam chowder (you can see in the attached video on how they served it), lobster tail wrapped with bacon, my hubby ordered salad (which was also excellent presentation), and steak. Let's not forget the chips that is on the house with 3 different taste buds sauces... tamarind (sweet), avocado (salty) and chipotle (spicy). Love love love! I should say, your visit in Cancun is not complete without visiting this excellent restaurant!

Many of the dishes have strange ingredients that the regular gringo hasn't heard of, which makes this even more exotic! I consider myself a mexican food expert, to some degree, and they're serving dishes that are so inventive, so wild, so fresh, so delicious! The dining area is split between a covered outside area, and seating on the grass overlooking the lagoon. Be careful, there's alligators in there! The service was fantastic- the waiter was patient, spoke English, and made excellent recommendations. I got fish with peppers, octopus ceviche, and some mezcal, followed by a honey and anise Mayan drink. All of which were delicious! My dining companion had a strange pepper with some fish- also nom! Coming here was like a history cuisine lesson, mixed with delicious food, wonderful scenery and a pleasant meal! My favorite part of this place is the artwork when you come in. They've got a Mayan god in a cenote at the doorway that just is amazing!

We had been walking in the area earlier that day and made a plan to come back for dinner. When we arrived there were a lot of people but we were seated immediately. Martin was our waiter and he was great. There were a few large screen TVs playing sports. There was live music. A lot was going on but it really worked. People were enjoying themselves and the wait staff was friendly and talkative. I ordered shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the mole. He always orders mole. The meals were very good. We ordered a mango margarita and Tecate. The margarita came with a tehine rim. I just wiped it off. That is becoming so popular. I decided to indulge in the banana dessert and I am glad I did. It came with a show. That was fun and the dessert was delicious. We were there earlier in the evening and we saw many couples and families. I'm sure the place gets a little more livelier as the night goes on. If you are in the area, this is a good place to eat and enjoy your time in Cancun.

Everything is surprisingly (for Cancun) priced affordable. My enchiladas were about $12. I would happily return here! So much fun!
