Located in Plaza Las Americas, this place has cute decor with indoor seating and outdoor seating, but it's covered. The staff is OK and the service is average. I ordered the hot cakes campesinos, which is 3 pancakes, bacon, 2 over medium eggs. The bacon was crispy, and the eggs were cooked perfectly as well. The pancakes were thick, a little dry, and a bit dense...not the best but just okay. This place is promising so it's worth a visit. read more

This place was decent. I think the ratings are slightly over-hyped. This is probably the equivalent to an IHOP. Service was slow and pretty unfriendly. The mochas (hot and a frappe) were both the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. My husband and I both ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. All four eggs were not poached well. The yolks of all four were solid (like a hard-boiled egg). The extra hollandaise made up for it, but this definitely wasn't a very good eggs benedict. The waffle underneath was soggy, and unappealing. ...However, the home fries were on point. Flavor, cook, everything was delicious. Go in expecting IHOP and you probably won't be disappointed. Ah centro cancun a place I will revisit again and again waffle boutique is a local spot in the Las Americas mall, they make some killer breakfast, I thought I wrote a review a while back on this place but it's never to late, we read the reviews on yelp as we always like to explore breakfast places this was one for the books, small restaurant with a nice decor, coffee was excellent, breakfast was amazing and not expensive at all, the only thing that stuck was their crispy crispy fries they were excellent. The omelette with manchego cheese something the states need to make or I need to find a place that uses that cheese in their breakfast omelette it was spectacular, the waffle we got was with banana and strawberry and they sure know how to make them large squares and deep pockets just how I like them!! Wish we found this place earlier in our trip. They have amazing breakfast and brunch. We tried the stuffed French toast, caramel pancakes, Oreo frappe and caramel latte. For foreigners who doesn't know Spanish, I would say this place isn't so special. Service is what you expect, non existence and when you pay the bill, the server would ask how much for the service. Overall, food wasn't that good. Pancakes and waffles are more on the dense side but it lays a weird taste afterwords. The fruits I got some looks rotten so I didn't eat it but it was decent. I woke up craving fruits and one of my friends was really craving waffles. So we tried out this place. Sandwiches did not taste that great. The sandwiches were lacking something maybe sauce. But the fries were the only thing I would say is good. Fruits too but it was kind of misleading. There was very little pineapple and no banana. Mainly cantaloupe and papaya. read more

Disappointment! I had my heart set on a Belgian Waffle and some bacon. It took awhile before a server approached our table. Once the food arrived, it was cold. I asked the server to take it off my bill and I ate part of my sisters French Toast which was warm but not hot. I was very disappointed and do not recommend this restaurant. read more

What a neat little place this was. While the food wasn't anything to write home about (though it was good for the price), the atmosphere and decor was amazing. The inside of the restaurant was very small, but with nearly twenty foot ceilings. The floor designed to look like the street and sidewalk of a downtown Dutch or Belgian city, complete with lamp posts and foliage. And the walls were painted to look like the sides of buildings. Extraordinarily underwhelming and under seasoned. I got the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. I've had a lot of salmon in my day but never this uncharacteristically pale. The hollandaise sauce was crusty and had no fluid consistency, as a sauce should. I tried to stay positive and try the home fries... good lord they were trash. No flavor in sight. And finally... The food reminds me of good diner food has mostly the basics: waffles, pancakes, and eggs among the various combinations of them all. I was surprised by their cappuccino which was very good. I loved the food it was great, for the most part service was okay. It went a little bad towards the end. My family and I were satisfied with our meal and got the check. First we tried paying with a $100 (usd), they told us they couldn't accept the bill because it was too big: reasonable. So we switched it for two $20 bills and a $5 (usd), after a while our server comes back and tells us he can't accept one of the $20 becuase they only accept new money. Who does that? It's legal tender. The server was very rude about the situation as well which didn't help. At least we got change to pay for the parking. read more

The only thing was we could not find the Belgian Waffle Boutique at first. the GPS would not do it for me. Funny story, I stopped on the side of the road and one of Cancun's finest stopped. Went here for breakfast to please my wife and finishing up having a wonderful surprise. The place is cozy and the staff very attentive and service oriented. Even though it was full, the wait time was pretty much none. And the food, well the food was great. The bacon was crisp and flavorful. Pancakes were nice and fluffy.
