A phenomenal meal and experience! Highly recommend checking out La Vicenta…read more We found them via random googling for a nice restaurant with steak for me and seafood for my husband. On the menu, which has a variety of options, my husband discovered their "filete al trapo" which is when the steak is wrapped in a wine soaked towel and cooked. We were sold to try something so unique sounding, so we booked a reservation on trip advisor. The steak was cooked at our table on a blackstone by Chef Hope. Cooked to medium, it was perfection. Every bite was delicious and had a hint of smoke. The steak is a shared dish that comes with two sides. We both got mashed potatoes which were heavenly. Legit did not have a single bad bite to eat. Our server, Armando, was wonderful! He was quick, helpful, and nice, helping to provide recommendations and get us refills/reorders of our Old Fashioned's promptly. Service was very quick that our empanada starters came out at the same time as Chef Hope to cook the steak. The meal was very filling but I still wanted dessert so we ordered the 'chewy chenta' which is a cookie with ice cream served in a skillet. Finally, because I had mentioned we were celebrating our honeymoon when booking our table, Armando and other staff brought us over a dessert with a sparkler in it and sang us congratulations. It was a great surprise! Plus they gave us a free tequila shot! The atmosphere is cool and moody with great music. Truly, this was one of the best meals of my life, if not THE best.

Stumbled on this Gem!…read more I was looking for Walmart, because I needed to get some supplies for our Cancun trip. Since my toddler missed lunch, we decided to check this place out and grab something for him to eat. Loved this place! Recap: 1. Parking - Private parking, which will cost you about 15 pesos for the first 3 hours. Not too bad. 2. Décor/Atmosphere - Clean, simple, and casual. 3. Food - Great! Very simple menu, but you can definitely taste the freshness of the ingredients used. We ordered a Soup de Tortilla for my son and a crepe for my wife. The soup had a lot of flavor and they gave us a very generous bowl. Well presented and came with extra toppings like chile peppers, pork rinds, sour cream, fresh avocados, and cheese. The Crepe was made fresh to order and stuffed with fresh berries and whipped cream. My wife inhaled it before I could take a bite. We also had two sangria that were also very refreshing. 4. Service - This is where this place exceeded my expectations. This restaurant is located in a strip mall and away from the tourist areas. Instead of trying to throw us out and put up a wall (like what stupid Americans would do), they were very, very welcoming. We were served by two people. One waiter was designated to us, but another server helped out because he spoke fluent English. They really went above and beyond; explaining what each food is, provided recommendations, etc. Although our first server's English was limited, I could tell that he wanted to provide the best service he possibly can. (ie, trying to explain to us that there's a daycare on site, digging up crayons to keep my toddler entertained, and even tracking down my wife and son to let them know that lunch is ready). 5. Bathroom - Not sure, didn't have to use it. But they did have a communal faucet between the men's and women's restroom that was very clean. I would image the restrooms to be the same. 6. Price - Very, very reasonable! I think we spent a total of 400 pesos (about 23 USD), which included tax + 20% tip. 7. Baby Friendly - YES! They have a daycare/nanny on site that will help you watch your kid while you enjoy your meal. The room is padded and has a lot of toys and activities to keep your child busy. My 2-yr-old toddler loved it there! Very clean too. Overall, we loved it here. I couldn't believe how great the service was and loved how the staff went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was fantastic, but unfortunately we were just here for a dessert and soup. We'll have to come back again!

They treated us like royalty. The service was amazing and the chef even came out to chat with us. Coffee was spectacular and my husband asked for a recommendation on the most traditional breakfast he could get there and he loved it as it had chicaronnes in there along with tons of flavor. I had the waffle eggs and bacon and I enjoyed how thin the bacon was cut because it actually cooked up nice and crisp. atmosphere is airy and modern and the baked goods all looked spectacular however I just had no room to sample any.

I got the chocolate dome, which was a chocolate and vanilla moose in a dome of dark chocolate. It was really good. I also tried the red velvet cake, brownies, and cherry macaroons which were all tasty. I will say, I've never really liked macaroons but these were something I would choose to get again. None of us ordered it, but there was a really cool French press coffee that they made at the table (boiled water over stereo up into another glass dome that was connected to it, then turned off the heat and the coffee filtered down). Someone at the next table ordered it so we were able to watch. It was so neat. Definitely order that if you're a coffee person.

We came during lunch time (right when they opened) so no pizza at the time but to be honest why would I come to mexico to get pizza. Wait staff was friendly and inviting, was very attentive and helped us out. Gave us an english menu and one in spanish and helped us translate when we needed. Made recommendations etc. Drinks were amazing, definitely try the drinks here! The food was delicious, got enchiladas and man it was great, might be simple but delicious! WE ordered some tacos and was very surprised on how good it was. Ended up getting the grasshopper taco?? IT was delicious you got to try it, very tangy crunchy flavorful food! Everything was great no complaints and the wait staff took it over the top to help us out since we had no idea what we were doing other than to show up and eat good food.

Quick search and yelp and this place pops up and is literally right across the street. So I venture out for an early dinner head towards the left as I exit the Hampton across the parking lot of the strip mall and then across 2 roads what looks to be an extravagant entrance to a resort with a reflection pool the entire length of the road up to the gates of whatever it is. Anyway stepped onto the sidewalk on the other side and there is the sign for the resturant! Up the stairs and considers sitting outside at the outdoor, covered bar area but the wait staff opened the door and I decided to take in the full experience. The menu was in Spanish with no English offerings, but if you know enough about Mexican cuisine you can manage, and the English speaking waiter came over to help with my decision. I asked about the mole sauce based on the previous review and, boom!, a plate with tortilla strips and a sampling of all three sauces were in front of me. And then I spotted the cerveche! I order a margarita, a helping of guacamole and the cerveche. I was not at all disappointed! Great food great staff! Bravo mi amigos! Enjoy
