Scan QR code and voila choose your food in Ingles. Definitely the tourist place, so no locals. But at 90F plus temperature, I would not want to cramp into the super Mercado local place, so compromise then. The fried chips and salsa are special and unique in its own way. We order del trompo naiz and del trompo tradicional, skinny boy. Hours need to be updated in Yelp. Open at 2:15 pm on Monday instead of 5 pm. My Al pastor left 3 pieces of chewy fat. Unfortunately unacceptable. My family love the crispy pastor. Service is slow even the place is not quarter full. read more

I truly enjoyed the unique tacos that I had here but the star of the show were the pastor tacos! The pineapple and cinnamon sounds daunting on a pork taco but it was a beautiful combination. The complimentary chips and variety of salsas are amazing. read more

Our first night in Cancun and we bumped into this great taco restaurant near our hotel. There is a nice ambiance to the place and the servers were all very friendly. We ordered a couple of drinks (the horchata with rum and the Berry Naiz), both of which were delicious. We got three orders of tacos (two tacos per order). The special taco, which name I forget, was absolutely delicious. Though my favorite of the night was the Campeche. It goes well with the garlic & cream and tamarind salsas. This place absolutely deserves 5 stars. From the service, to the food, to the drinks, everything was stellar. From someone who can get great Al pastor tacos at home, this place blows everything I know about al pastor out of the water. I'm particular the del trompo naiz taco which is an Al pastor taco with grilled cinnamon pineapple and onion jam was out of this world. Also The Sauces which is a salsa sampling with house made tortilla chips was such a fun culinarily adventure and experience. To play around, mix and match, add them to the tacos was so much fun. My favorites were the garlic cream, salsa macha, and the morita sauce. Wish we saved room for dessert, but the tacos deserved the prime real estate they're taking in our tummies. read more

After a few in the Cancun Hotel Zone, I felt trapped and decided to venture out to explore the city. I identified this spot through Eater Cancun and specifically figured out how to navigate the local bus system and take a walk to get here. I'm so glad I did. There are so many good and cheap eats in Mexico that they begin to meld together in your mind. But El Socio Naiz will surely stand out as a distinct memory. Prices here are on par with the US, so affordable but not cheap by Mexico standards. But what you get is so worth it. I wish there was a similar place in my city. I'd go every week. Expect a gourmet taco experience -- Mexican food reimagined with modern touches. You're not going to get this at a typical Mexican taco taqueria. It's evident in their colorful tortillas, their variety of sauces, and their choice of ingredients. I ordered the pa'l puerquecito taco (rib-eye, chicharron, and grilled nopal) and the alucinogeno taco (portobello mushroom, purple cabbage, and chipotle dressing). I went with my mom, who's hard to impress and not accustomed to Mexican food, and even she really liked it! Servers speak English and are prepared to assist tourists navigate the menu. It was a great place to stop after a long trek to get there from the bus stops. I've been to plenty of beautiful beaches so having done Cancun I don't know if I would go back anytime soon. We are both vegetarians and are so sick of traveling and only finding vegan food or meat and seafood. We were happy to notice this place was supposed to be veggie friendly. They do have 3 tacos that are vegan but unfortunately 2 of them we couldn't eat because we think Mayo is absolutely disgusting (even vegan Mayo) and unfortunately they put it on 2 out of the 3 taco options for vegans/vegetarians. There are 1 or 2 apps that are veggie friendly. We asked if they could switch it out for their crema or if we could just do a regular taco with the fake meat instead and we're told no. The service was very nice and we appreciated that but wish they could be more accommodating. read more

Good food, cute decor, so-so service. We ordered all three vegetarian tacos, which were unique and very tasty. My favorite was the crispy portobello, while my partner's favorite was the hibiscus taco. We also ordered a passionfruit (maracuya) juice and a Green Peace cocktail, which were both very refreshing, though there didn't seem to be any alcohol in the the cocktail. There is plenty of seating, and tables are easily combined to seat a large group if needed. The menu is available in both Spanish and English, though ordering in Spanish may be easier if you're bilingual, since not all servers really understood when we spoke in English. Prices are higher than more local spots, but still reasonable. All seating is indoor-outdoor, and there are lots of live plants throughout the space. There's plenty of bug spray at the host stand - be sure to use it! They take both credit card and cash (pesos) payment. read more

Delicious culinary experience while I got stuck in Cancún overnight due to a missed connection at the airport. Not a bad place to be stranded, and if you're nearby El Socio Naiz, I highly recommend their tacos! As others have said, it's a unique experience unlike traditional street tacos, but incredible nonetheless! I tried the Traditional Trompo Naiz, which was probably the best Al Pastor I've ever had. If you're looking for authentic, I'd say this is the most basic street taco on the menu, but with incredible flavor! My other choice was the Campechana tacos (New York Strip, Chistorra, Garlic Cheese, Onion Jam, and Waka Waka). To be honest, I probably would have tried something else on this one as the steak wasn't super noticeable. Maybe I just enjoyed the Al Pastor too much for this one to even compare, but I ended up trying the number ours sauces on these two. Speaking of sauces, the creamy garlic was delicious, as was the tamarind, the habanero, honestly all of them were great! Fun to mix and match different flavors. I also got an ice cream dessert that was super refreshing on the hot, humid evening! It had what I believe were lucky charms marshmallows sprinkled over it with two scoops of vanilla in a cone-like shell. Service was wonderful with the server speaking English to help me out. Very friendly and inviting even as I came a a pretty early hour for dinner. No indoor seating, so if it's warm out, try to grab a seat near the fans, or just expect the forehead glisten with the humid and spice! All in all, it was a great experience and I loved it! Trendy taco spot! We got the Cate de me corazon (fried avocado with tortillas), fried portabello mushroom tacos, and al pastor tacos. I'm so glad to have found this New Mexican taco joint! It takes your taco experience to the next level! They have such creative menu selections that you wouldn't typically find in any other taco shops. The combination of ingredients within a taco is ingenious which makes it fun to eat with different textures, flavors, and colors! Their guacamole is the smoothest and creamiest (and tastiest) I've had and it melts in your mouth! But most of all, you know it's a legit place when their sauce options are spectacular. I had gotten a recommendation by one of our neighbors to try this taco place. At first, I was disappointed because I did not order the right things, and I was not given salsa the first time. Luckily, my girlfriend had wanted to give it another try because we found what we really liked there. So the thing to get there is the skinny boy taco which has pastor, rib eye, and mango pico de gallo (we got pineapple on them too). Each order of tacos comes with two tacos, so the tacos end up being pretty affordable too. If having two types of meat isn't enough to make you like this taco, they have a good red salsa and a good green avocado salsa too. The service was nice, and they tried their best to communicate with me because I don't speak much Spanish lol. I'd definitely come back next time I go to Cancun. When I first was here 3 years ago, I had the most amazing experience. The tacos were the best I had ever had; the drinks were fantastic. This month I flew to Cancun just to eat here. I ordered the same things as I did before, and it was a huge disappointment. Drinks were small, and I couldn't get a buzz. Tacos were barely warm and didn't taste the same. WOW. Possibly some of the best vegan/vegetarian tacos I've ever had, and I fancy myself a taco connoisseur. They've 7 different bottles of sauces that range from sweet and tangy to spicy as hell. All are fantastico! Our waiter Irving was very helpful and nice enough to tell us the portion sizes were large (2 tacos per order) so we didn't order too much! Great guy. Stumbled across this lovely place quite by chance. We were hungry, tired and in the mood for pizza. It so just happened that they make an amazing, vegan and gluten free pizza with avocado on, it totally saved the day!
