    Breakfast Burrito (Bacon & Chorizo)
    Dennis G.

We accidently ended up in front of Beachin' Burrito early in the morning and decided to get some breakfast. That decision was the perfect one. The Breakfast Burrito and Texas Fajita Burrito really hit the spot. The staff was amazing and gave us great tips about the island. Would highly recommend and would be back again!

Burritos are very good. But the owner is a total jerk and pretty much snarls at you. Make sure bring pesos's. They play with the exchange rate.

Portobello burrito, too much rice and cheese, greasy
    Sarah M.

Friendly guy taking our order in English, took about 15 minutes to get our two burritos prepared. It was a filling burrito for sure, because it had more rice and cheese than I'd liked, it made my portobello burrito taste mostly like cheese and because of that it was greasy, I could barely taste the portobello or the sweet potato that's inside. The side homemade potato chips were greasy also. Less than a minute walk to the beach so conveniently located.

Breakfast burrito with bacon, refried black beans, and salsa roja

This was one of the best places we ate on the island. We sat at the small bar in front of the kitchen and watched people walk by while we ate. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and my partner ordered a mushroom burrito off the lunch menu. We both really enjoyed our burritos but the star of the show for me was the salsa roja (spicy) that came on the side. It was just hot enough, but also flavorful and a perfect accompaniment to the breakfast burrito. It was also just enough food for me to feel full , but not enough to be wasteful or excessive. If I return to Isla Mujeres I'll definitely be back.

    Amazing

Great burrito stand right by Playa Norte. Excellent customer service. Very friendly and helpful staff to answer questions while ordering. I had the Cali classic burrito. Loved the tortilla and the crisp on the outside. It had a little too much rice for my liking but delicious anyways. Not too much steak was added either. But beautiful flavor combinations. My husband had the special, not listed. A burger burrito. It's been a couple days now and he has talked about it daily. Packed full of meat. It was a burger seasoned with Montreal steak seasons, thinly sliced red onions, grated potato (fine, pan seared), shredded lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon and some kind of delicious sauce rolled up in the best tortilla. It was amazing!!!

Loved this spot! Burrito was fabulous and very filling. I will absolutely be coming back here on my next trip to isla mujeres

Cali Classic Burrito with Steak (no pico de gallo and no avacado)

We've been here twice on our trip and their food is delicious! The burritos are delicious and filling and they come with delicious chips that are very flavorful and we always fight over them! There are a few seats available but we just do take out. We will be coming back here when we come back!

We LOVED our burritos. Being from California, burritos are kind of a staple. We went to Playa Norte and were looking for lunch. It was a quick stroll. Everything was made fresh to order. So, if you are in a rush, this place is not for you. It's worth it though. Like everyone said there is no seating in the shade so take food across the street (or wait there in shade and they will bring to you). We had the fish, steak and chicken burritos. Everything was fresh and delicious. At first glance it looked like a sandwich wrap but it was because the layer of cheese was melted to the tortilla. Great flavors, my teenager also loved the potatoes that came with. The fresh lemonade was tasty. Prices were reasonable! The manager was so friendly and genuine and truly cared about our experience with the food. Highly recommend!

Store front, outdoor table. Only one but they will make room for you if it's busy! They want you to stay no matter what, and it's worth it

Come and visit this spot if you're in the mood for something that has American origins with a slight Mexican twist to it. We were told the owner, Ryan, is from California and brought the food he loves from back home with him, along with his very adorable and large yellow lab (seen in some photos on his yelp page). The burritos and tacos here are generous in size but if you feel like you need something to hold you over for the next day or two, you can try your hand at the 3 POUND OG BIG DAWG CONTEST. You'll get this $400mx burrito for free if you eat it with 2 drinks 15 minutes. 10 eggs, 5 pieces of bacon, potatoes, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, avocado, a piece of steak and some salsa wrapped inside a tortilla or two. (Warning: don't swim for 30min-6hours after eating, hehe). They're never lacking in flavor, although you can make it interesting with one of the 8-10 hot sauces Diego will bring to the table with chips and homemade salsa. He'll give an explanation of each and tell you where they're from, whether it be local on the island (and available for purchase) or somewhere else such as Canada. The fried chicken and bleu cheese tacos were delicious in a flour tortilla, the flavors you'd expect from such a combination or spot on. We also tried his bbq pork sandwich with melted cheddar and avocado, it was delicious as well! Our two friends had burritos but I wasn't able to get a photo bc they were being devoured by the time I made it back to the table from grabbing something from our golf cart. The place was a nice stop for lunch, a touch of home found here on the Island of Women, making you feel comfortable and with a variety of options from the OG big dawg to the Skinny Bitch burrito and everything in between, you'll leave as satisfied as your belly desires. Ryan, the owner, also plays live music at El Patio some nights of the week and Diego's lady in town owns Jenny's Penny where you can grab some nice local gear to take back home with you, so be sure to check it all out!

cheeseburger burrito. AMAZING. comes with potato chip/fries and great salsa

this place was a short walk from where we were staying. looked interesting and the owner was super nice, so we gave it a shot. it did NOT disappoint! the husband ordered the california burrito and raved about all the different flavors. i tried a bite and it was delicious, but i was happy with my order of the cheeseburger burrito. the burger was simple and salty, the cheese was gooey, and the onion straws gave everything a nice crunch. the potato chips/fries were awesome and i loved the salsa it came with so i could dip them. went back for breakfast on our last morning and shared the breakfast burrito and once again were blown away. just so, so good. overall, this was probably our favorite food on the island!

You might just meet "O.G." if you stop by...who doesn't love dogs & Burritos??

Pro tip with all tacos: you gotta eat it fast or else the tortilla collapses in your hand. They had these amazing chips to go with not your usual salsa but a ketchup/mayo combo and a very very spicy chili crisp. I made the mistake of eating too many of the chips and not having enough room for my tacos. The coconut shrimp was just okay. Very tiny shrimp. My husband raved about the lime soup here for the rest of the trip; I can confirm that it was excellent. Fun casual atmosphere - our food came out pretty fast, even with all of the tables filled. Bonus points for playing music videos of 2010s pop hits on the tv by our table.

This restaurant definitely had I more local vibe compared to some of the tourist places up north. As soon as we got there I could tell the employees or maybe even the owner started counting up how many women are party and started to shuffling the tables around to accommodate us. This was definitely one of the highlights in terms of The food that we had. Everyone was happy with their dreams and their food We got the mixed grill which served for adults. The shrimp, the lobster, the steak, the chorizo all of it was a good mix. There was a lot of vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower as well as a salad. Someone else in our party got the enchiladas and a burrito and they're very particular about their Mexican food and they both said it was the best meal of the Trip. The only item I wouldn't order and not because it's bad just because it wasn't as good was the carbonara. I ordered it to split between the children and they actually loved it but if I were an Italian I would probably be left wanting.

Our digestion was in need of some TLC and we were grateful to see local kombucha and fermented foods on the menu. The apple and coffee kombucha is so refreshing and crisp.
