Amazing atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, killer plants everywhere, and the food was so fresh! I will be coming back soon.

Family owned local fresh food. Authentic, fresh juices, amazing tacos, chill vibes. Service is phenomenal and the food is bomb.

Wow ! What a hidden gem ! The shrimp tacos were awesome ! Around 9$ US dollars. The Mexican and healthy omelette were soooo good too! The guacamole was super fresh and the orange juice was 100% fresh squeezed ! The service was great too. The vibe of the restaurant is cool too. Beautiful greenery. The 3 of us ate for around 50$ and that's with 3 cocktails / 3 meals and a coffee. So not bad.

    Decorations are so fun!

Wonderful place! Stumbled on it during our last visit to Isla, and it was on the top of the list of places to go this visit! Lobster tacos are phenomenal! Service is amazing! Such a cool spot!

Plantains with chocolate, tequila, ice cream. Ohhhhh.

We stopped in again, this time for breakfast and jazz. I started with a Bloody Maria (Bloody Mary, but with tequila). The T was strong and spicy and perfect. For food, I had the omelette. Very nice. My wife had the fruit plate, with yogurt and granola. Also very good. When traveling we rarely go out for breakfast, but did so because owner Rafael told us about the jazz every Wednesday morning. Jose was great fun! We'll be back for Saturday jazz breakfast! Gracias a Rafael, Paola y Jose. Hasta Sabado.

Amazing place! We will come back every time we are in Isla! Food was amazing, as well as the owner!

We ordered the chilaquiles red and green with two eggs and the chicken enchiladas with a plantain mole sauce. We also ordered the crepes with strawberry jam very good. The sauces and crepes are made in house. We came in around 9:30 the service was great the ambiance was low key casual. It is outdoor but is well covered and fan we're on to keep things cool. There are plants so it is like eating in a pretty garden. The price for today with two coffees was 615 pesos or 42 dollars at an exchange of 15 to 1. It is better to change dollars to peso at an exchange for better rates than at restaurant or shop that take only cash.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The staff are super friendly, the food is super delicious and affordable, and it's such a pretty and well-maintained space. This restaurant was walking distance from our resort so we came here multiple times for both breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed everything we had!

Great food and service! And they take cards! Huge fans to keep you cool. Had the omelet and enchiladas, French toast and crepes the next morning.

Drinks were interesting in a good way! The inside is really nice on the 3rd floor. Some good live music also. And the desserts were amazing! We couldn't decide which 2 to order so we got 3 even tho we were full and loved all 3. The Mexican lime pie is great. And the Mexican caramel pie is great. Go to Rosas!

A reservation was easy to obtain via email and we were all set for a sunset, evening meal. We were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere pleasant with an acoustic duo playing mellow tunes in the background. Honestly, we were a little disappointed with the view that most reviews rave about. Our sever was knowledgeable and made several suggestions. We selected the Pepita Crusted Tuna for a starter, my companion had the fresh catch which was grouper, blackened with a side of the peanut sauce. I chose the Surf and Turf. For dessert, we shared the Key Lime Pie. Everything was beautifully presented, and quite artistic. The tuna appetizer was very good, but the main courses were frankly a disappointment. The creativity of the plate did not make up for the lackluster food. The steak was tough and poorly seasoned, the lobster was just passable but also chewy and not tender. The fish was not as well cooked as other restaurants downtown and again the seasoning was lackluster. The sides, lentils and mashed potatoes were just ok. The homemade Key Lime Pie was enjoyable but again seemed to lack a depth of flavor. If the food could match the service, presentation, and atmosphere then perhaps this could be one of Isla's better dining establishments, until then "the juice was not worth the squeeze."

I would've liked the actual meat of the fish to be more tender (it bordered on overcooked) but still I walked away plenty satisfied. It does have lots of tiny bones. Bread basket came with the most delicious roasted eggplant in oil, I could've eaten just that with the bread and been a happy camper. The roasted octopus was not bad but a touch too heavy on the sauces for me, I would've wanted more of the flavor of the octopus on its own. The potatoes under the octopus, however, were perhaps my favorite part of the whole meal. Everyone else seemed happy with their food - the catch of the day (with the fluffiest mashed potatoes) was a very popular choice. If you're sick of seafood, they have steak and braised brisket on their menu. Really cozy and romantic ambiance as well for if you want to dress up slightly. This place gets very popular for good reason; I liked the little bar counter they set up out front so you can watch the grilling in action.
