This restaurant is freaking AMAZING. If you go to Isla Mujeres and don't go here, I'm sorry you missed out! First of all, this is a family-owned business. That alone means something to me. The owner made all the graphic designs for the menu himself. I just think that's great. So I wanted a pina colada. I've wanted one made out of real coconut for forever. So I asked the owner for one, and he said "I might have one, not sure how it will look, but I will take a look at it". A few minutes goes by and LET ME TELL YOU...I was just shocked when my boyfriend said to me: "he's chopping your coconut off the tree in the back right now". I turned to look and much to my surprise...there was the owner, on a ladder, choppin' down a coconut in the back! Talk about locally freakin' sourced!! Oh! It looks like they also m cook your catch of the day if you do fishing with a local tour company--for free. So anyway, a few more minutes goes by and here comes the owner with the little guy in the picture with my face in it. Just so much love went into that one act. It was so kind and sweet of him to put in that much effort. Not a chance I would have gotten that in the USA. After we got our food, the owner came to check in on us and said: "It's a fmily owned business. So we feel like the best thing you can do for the food is make everything with love. Everything we make is made with love.". My boyfriend and I loved hearing that and honestly, just enjoyed being there that much more. Definitely made our trip to the island that much better. Okay so Coco has a special place in our hearts. I was lucky enough to connect with Rolando and his best friend Ale (she runs the place). They are amazing people. Amazing. Rolando has moved back to his hometown so sadly y'all won't get to meet him but Ale is so sweet and funny. Wait: None, it was right near our house so we always knew the best times to go here! Server: LOVE them. So funny, so sweet, very laid back. Food Quality& Order: Well this was the only place we ate more than once. Four or five times during the week to be exact. The quality cannot he describes. Melt in your mouth steak tacos. Guacamole that I'm convinced is made from Heavens avocados. Delicious drinks. Good for ANY meal. We had them all Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Atmosphere& Decor: One of the cutest most modern yet authentic places on the island. Two levels. Indoor-Outdoor seating I.e. covered but open. Tiki style roofing, which I adore. Just everything was beautiful. You'll see in the photos!

This spot was amazing. The food was so good, and if you love seafood, get the seafood guacamole! The owner food out we love to fish and set us up the next day to fish and then afterwards, bring the fish back for the restaurant to cook! It was a great price to fish and the dinner afterwards was amazing! The fillets were cooked 4 different ways and was all amazing! It was so much food and so delicious! I highly recommend this place and avoiding the crazy tourist trap in town. The prices here were way cheaper with way more delicious food!

Great find while wandering around in our golf cart. Solid service and a surprisingly delicious shrimp sandwich. Happy hour from 1-5 (buy 2 for the price of 1) drinks were strong and mixed very well so we couldn't even taste the alcohol. We definitely felt it later though. They also have a nice upstairs seating area overlooking the street. I'd stop by again the next time I'm on Isla Mujeres.

This place was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable, the staff was outstanding, and the food was far better than you could expect. The location was perfect, and the atmosphere was exactly what you would be looking for on a small island: quaint and inclusive. Definitely plan on visiting again before we leave.

Go! Couldn't get in to Mango for breakfast and now we don't need to. Went with 5 friends on a Sunday and it was delightful. We shared two fruit platters while enjoying bloody Marys and mimosas. Then ordered huevos rancheros Jaguar, enchiladas con mole, chilaquiles, banana French toast, eggs Benedict and desayuno traditional. Everyone was happy. The salsa verde on the rancheros was piquant and tasty and it was a good mole. Tortillas are very fresh. The service was outstanding. Edgardo and the others took really good care of us. We'll definitely try to get back for lunch while we're here.

Drinks were interesting in a good way! The inside is really nice on the 3rd floor. Some good live music also. And the desserts were amazing! We couldn't decide which 2 to order so we got 3 even tho we were full and loved all 3. The Mexican lime pie is great. And the Mexican caramel pie is great. Go to Rosas!

A reservation was easy to obtain via email and we were all set for a sunset, evening meal. We were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere pleasant with an acoustic duo playing mellow tunes in the background. Honestly, we were a little disappointed with the view that most reviews rave about. Our sever was knowledgeable and made several suggestions. We selected the Pepita Crusted Tuna for a starter, my companion had the fresh catch which was grouper, blackened with a side of the peanut sauce. I chose the Surf and Turf. For dessert, we shared the Key Lime Pie. Everything was beautifully presented, and quite artistic. The tuna appetizer was very good, but the main courses were frankly a disappointment. The creativity of the plate did not make up for the lackluster food. The steak was tough and poorly seasoned, the lobster was just passable but also chewy and not tender. The fish was not as well cooked as other restaurants downtown and again the seasoning was lackluster. The sides, lentils and mashed potatoes were just ok. The homemade Key Lime Pie was enjoyable but again seemed to lack a depth of flavor. If the food could match the service, presentation, and atmosphere then perhaps this could be one of Isla's better dining establishments, until then "the juice was not worth the squeeze."

I would've liked the actual meat of the fish to be more tender (it bordered on overcooked) but still I walked away plenty satisfied. It does have lots of tiny bones. Bread basket came with the most delicious roasted eggplant in oil, I could've eaten just that with the bread and been a happy camper. The roasted octopus was not bad but a touch too heavy on the sauces for me, I would've wanted more of the flavor of the octopus on its own. The potatoes under the octopus, however, were perhaps my favorite part of the whole meal. Everyone else seemed happy with their food - the catch of the day (with the fluffiest mashed potatoes) was a very popular choice. If you're sick of seafood, they have steak and braised brisket on their menu. Really cozy and romantic ambiance as well for if you want to dress up slightly. This place gets very popular for good reason; I liked the little bar counter they set up out front so you can watch the grilling in action.
