Fun spot near the beach. Cool greenery all around the place - made it feel more private and off the beaten path. Food felt very fresh! Chicken sandwiches came with a tasty side salad full of fresh veggies! Service was very friendly and quick to offer help when needed.

Food is so delicious. It truly is a garden. Great options for vegetarian diets. I had the juevos rancheros and the small fruit plate along with jugo verde. The prices are reasonable and service is great. The dining experience is wonderful and surrounded by palms, pothos, banana trees and more. Highly recommend for a visit while in Isla Mujures.

So I just love Northgarden, it is connected to the bakery and grill guard office block. They are all owned by the same owner Fernando. Fernando is an amazing sweet man that runs wonderful establishments. His staff is so well trained to be so friendly welcoming and helpful. I literally get hugs when I walk to this location. Today I went with a friend after yoga and we really went all out. We had the green juice and coffee and a fruit plate to share and then we each ordered breakfast. I had the Benedict and she had the omelette. There was a ton of goat cheese in her omelette. And the veggies looked lovely. The bacon on the Benedict is always so crispy & yummy and the hollandaise sauce is always perfect. The setting is garden and open air and very comfortable with lots of tables upstairs and downstairs. They're only open until three and they're closed on Tuesdays. For the record the entire breakfast was less than $25. The friend I was with was from LA so I'm sure you can imagine how much she appreciated this. Considering once again we went all out. You can get a breakfast here for $10.15 with coffee. Just a wonderful place that I will return to time and time again and I hope you do too.

Really nice spot for breakfast on the way to North Beach. We got the small fruit plate, which was presented beautifully, and the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were huge! Definitely enough for 2 people to share. The service was great. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The place was pretty busy when we went, but we were still able to be seated right away.

Best service in Isla! Quick and friendly, affordable and a quick walk to north beach. We shared a spinach bagel crispy style, and it was one of my favorite meals in Mexico. Love the spicy sauce! Beautiful boho environment.

    Excellent service,food,cost,, Will be back.

What an unexpected find! We were in the area for our honeymoon and one of our family members recommended a place but couldn't remember the name of the restaurant. We searched online and asked if it was North Garden. They said that sounded right. So we stopped in and sat down, but it actually wasn't the restaurant they had recommended! We were very hungry and their menu looked really good so we stayed. I'm so glad we did!!! Out of the seven days that we were in the area, North Garden ended up being our favorite meal of the entire trip! We started off with a coconut smoothie and a strawberry lemonade. Both were incredibly delicious. The guacamole was very fresh and the chips were cooked perfectly. We decided on the steak tacos and the chicken tacos for our main entrée. It was the freshest food we had on the whole trip and the flavors were outstanding. They put crispy cheese on the outside of the tortillas and it really gave it a great flavor. And the cherry on top was the great service! Although we ended up in the "wrong" location, it was the best lunch mistake ever! We had the best food and service. We're now giving everyone the recommendation to go there instead of the place our family recommended. When we return, we know where our first stop is, North Garden!

Eggs Benedict with Pecans was excellent as was the service and ambience. Our waiter, Luis, was as personable, polite, and lighthearted. We are grateful that we had breakfast here.

We stumbled across this restaurant while visiting Isla Mujeres. We broke our "never eat at the same place twice on vacation" rule to come back twice, the food was so good. The first time, we had a bit of a wait because it was busy but we were eventually sat upstairs. it felt like we were sitting in a jungle, it was amazing. It was definitely hot as it is an outdoor venue but they had a couple of fans going which helped. We had a delicious hueveos ranchero dish that we both really enjoyed. Our server gave us a bunch of tips for finding sea glass on the island and other places to enjoy meals. He was very enjoyable to talk to, kind, and efficient. The second time, our service was not as good or attentive but the food was amazing. I had the pineapple seafood dish and it was not only appealing to look at it, it tasted amazing. Every bite was like a burst of flavor exploding in my mouth. The seafood was plentiful, moist, and flavorful. There were so many things to choose from the menu that looked good that I had a hard time deciding but overall, my dish was amazing and I was happy I chose it. I would absolutely go back if I was ever on the island again.

Food was good and nothing was wrong with the overall dining experience. Just given the options at other locations nearby the menu is a little underwhelming.

we had breakfast on our last full morning here this morning, it was great! our server was very helpful and kind as well. the menu translated prices for us, and the food was so delicious. my party of 5 all tried variations of the pancakes. the ambiance and location were exceptional as well! some of the most beautiful kept plants were held here. I would definitely come back if my trip didn't end so soon.

She was walking us a little towards the back, but since it was my first time to Isla, I wanted to people-watch, so I asked about a table up front. As soon as we headed over, I saw why she passed it - it was right next to the saxophone player! Thank goodness his volume level was perfect! Just loud enough to be heard over the crowds walking down the 'lane' out front and the restaurant diners' chatting. But not so loud that we 3 couldn't chat. We loved it! Now these two can EAT - and love to try everything on the menu, whereas I tend to eat smaller portions. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic - huge pieces of shrimp, so good! The lobster mac n cheese is so good, I would have loved to bring a big container of it home with me! The restaurant is very busy but very clean and tables are well organized for maneuvering a quick trip to the restroom before leaving. Our server, Maylen was attentive and pleasant. The bar area, facing the street, looked like a lot of fun, I'll have to try it next time!

Pro tip with all tacos: you gotta eat it fast or else the tortilla collapses in your hand. They had these amazing chips to go with not your usual salsa but a ketchup/mayo combo and a very very spicy chili crisp. I made the mistake of eating too many of the chips and not having enough room for my tacos. The coconut shrimp was just okay. Very tiny shrimp. My husband raved about the lime soup here for the rest of the trip; I can confirm that it was excellent. Fun casual atmosphere - our food came out pretty fast, even with all of the tables filled. Bonus points for playing music videos of 2010s pop hits on the tv by our table.

This restaurant definitely had I more local vibe compared to some of the tourist places up north. As soon as we got there I could tell the employees or maybe even the owner started counting up how many women are party and started to shuffling the tables around to accommodate us. This was definitely one of the highlights in terms of The food that we had. Everyone was happy with their dreams and their food We got the mixed grill which served for adults. The shrimp, the lobster, the steak, the chorizo all of it was a good mix. There was a lot of vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower as well as a salad. Someone else in our party got the enchiladas and a burrito and they're very particular about their Mexican food and they both said it was the best meal of the Trip. The only item I wouldn't order and not because it's bad just because it wasn't as good was the carbonara. I ordered it to split between the children and they actually loved it but if I were an Italian I would probably be left wanting.

Here are the top three reasons why you should go here multiple times. 1)The food. All homemade and perfectly portioned. The guacamole and cheesy dish was the best appetizer I've ever had. I was pretty full with just that. Even the chips are homemade. For dinner we ate tacos and a quesadilla, both solid and eaten quickly. Earlier we got an omelette and it was perfect with plenty of sides. 2)Price. We two appetizers, two entrees and drinks and it cost about 300 pesos. That's 15 bucks for us Americanos. If you walked about ten steps across the street, you would pay for the same food at about triple that price. 2)People. So this place does not have fancy music, TVs or even nice chairs. It's simple, clean and family run. They were always super nice and quiet, never pushing anything but still attentive to our needs. I hope you enjoy this place as much as we did.

Because we had been on the resort for the majority of the time, we were on the hunt for an authentic taco stand on the island. After passing what seemed like 100 tourist trap restaurants, we walked right up to this place. One look at the handwritten menu and quaint, outdoor kitchen, we knew we had found the place. The menu featured various tacos, empanadas, ceviche, and other traditional Mexican street foods. I ordered three chicharron tacos (because I'm obsessed with fried pork), while my bf ordered an al pastor, a chorizo, and a chicharrón taco, along with three empanadas. The food was made fresh, so there was a bit of a wait, but not too long. Man oh man, was it worth the wait. I honestly wasn't even hungry, but couldn't pass up the chance to eat street tacos in MX. The chicharron was perfectly crispy with a nice fat-to-skin-to-meat ratio. Did I mention that the tortillas were all freshly handmade as well? Additionally, their salsa picante was just that-- picante! It was hot as Hades, which wasn't apparent from the light green color of the sauce. But try some, it's worth it. I was in Mexico for four days and these chicharron tacos were, without a doubt, the best thing I ate. Nom nom!
