That lobster Benedict is literally the best Benedict I have ever had in my entire life and literally the best dish I've ever had with lobster! LOCATION & DECOR: Next door to hotel Las Palmas and across from Correos de Mexico within walking distance of playa Norte FOOD & DRINK: -Lobster Benedict is to die for! I've never had a Benedict so good! Vegas cooked to perfection with a runny yolk. Hollandaise was flavorful as well. -dinner platter fed about four grown men and every single thing on there was as flavorful as the next and if this meal was ready to five then the lobster Benedict would be rated to six out of five stars -Breakfast burrito West flavorful as well. -any of the Frozen margaritas are the most flavor for margaritas I've ever had as well. As good as it gets for a frozen strawberry, lime or mango margarita. PRICE: $$$ mxn -Lobster Benedict was $300 pesos. -Breakfast burrito was $180 SWAG/AMENITIES: -second floor seating with outside views -table service -full bar -breakfast, lunch and dinner options STAFF & EXPERIENCE: I don't come to this island without stopping here. This is one of the best places I have ever eaten and the staff is just incredibly personable and attentive. The food is cooked to perfection every time. I like to sit on the second floor right by the street so I can just people watch while I soak up the atmosphere. Music plays in the background and it's quiet enough for intimate conversation. Absolutely love this place and I wish I didn't always have to go all the way to the island just to have it!

Food was delicious. The entire group loved what they ordered!!!! 2 for 1 happy hour drinks!!! Service was excellent. Wonderful breeze on the upper deck!!!! Ambiance was amazing!!!! We were able to chat and enjoy each others company Highly recommend

Read all the rave reviews but honestly didn't know what to expect. I got the tostada suprema which sounded delicious in the description. But it was basically a taco salad from Taco Bell. Even the meat tasted like it. I don't know.. the ambiance was fantastic definitely as we were seated upstairs and they had a band going on, but the food was a slight miss.

Make sure you visit during happy hour

The best service. Great food and cold drinks. Make your way upstairs and enjoy the cooler breeze. I think this is a great place for a late or midday snack.

Eggs Benedict with Langosta and Pablano Hollandaise Sauce.

This place is amazing. A little off the main strip of the island, so it wasn't overly crowded. Service was impeccable and you can tell they really put care into the food they are serving. The Langosta Eggs Benedict with Pablano Hollandaise was exceptional, I'll be thinking about it for a long time. We also tried some of their tacos, and huevos ranchers, everything was a hit here. Highly recommend this establishment.

A trip to Ruben's for Lobster Benedict is normally a highlight of a trip to Isla.... Unfortunately this time it was not quite up to par. Hopefully, it was just an off day.

Good food and atmosphere! We sat on the second floor. It is colorfully decorated and a has a great open air area. I had the waffle with fresh fruit. It was very good! My husband had crunchy tacos and they were nicely done too. We were served quickly and attentively. We would go there again!

Don't pass this place by. It isn't anything to look out from the outside. Pastel colored building with paper signs scattered on the walls . They have all fresh Mexican offerings from Tortas, quesadilla, enchiladas, tacos , fresh fish, and tostados and much more. We had a party of 7, 5 adults and 2 kids. They were very accommodating moving tables to allow us to sit together. We had the mole enchiladas x3 , 1 chimichanga, ground beef tacos , quesadilla with shrimp , and one quesadilla with chicken. All the food arrived to the table hot. Lots of fresh ingredients and tasted great. We enjoyed our meal here and were pleasantly surprised by the freshness. All in was 78.00 this included food and tip. Great stop overall . It is in the center of town but further up than most people venture. Definitely a must try if your looking for authentic and fresh. This restaurant is cash only so bring your pesos .

Good food and the rooftop is delightful. Recommend for groups. Although service is amicable, it's a little slow but who cares because you're in Isla Mujeres on a rooftop.

Came to Mexico for vacation. It's a busy island with lots of options but we wanted to eat grilled lobsters. It did not disappoint. Super fresh and delicious. Everything came out fast. Our server Pablo was so attentive and friendly. The location is only a few minutes walk from the docks. There's no ocean views but your on an island so it's beautiful everywhere you eat. I would definitely recommend the lobster here.

Above average, decent, touristy Mex food. Points for accepting credit cards. Too bad they can't mix and match tacos. Nice 2nd open venue.

Period, simple. Really, if I could I leave 0 stars...We travel through Mexico all the time, we have never been treated the way these two guys attending the coffee shop, The so-called owner was a little more attentive to customers, however he has no idea how to be in the service industry. The "Cook " was, for lack of better words, aggressive, When I asked a question about the menu he turned to me asking me if I new how to read the menu. We thought he was joking , I wanted to make sure I will get my order the way I wanted, so I asked the question again. To our surprise he was upset and had the nerve to suggest I couldn't understand the listed ingredients. We had enough of that, got up, paid our coffee, and left. Unfortunately, we forgot something and had to go back in, finding them both bad mouthing us after we had left. As we left again, the "owner" wanted to know what our complaint was and as I was explaining, the cook poked his head, yelling at us. Anyway, you get the picture, it was shocking and disappointing, but we found a better (and WAY less expensive) place for breakfast down the street. Glad we were forced to find Mogaqua.

They had chicken empanadas and vegetarian today, so I got a chicken one to try. The woman inside said they will have beef tomorrow. They had a handful of different deserts to choose from. I picked a caramel chocolate banana pie, a vanilla strawberry pie, and a caramel cookie sandwich with coconut around the sides. The chicken empanada was moist and delicious; it came with a salty chimichurri sauce that was good with it in small quantities. The cookie was just fine, I wouldnt order it again. The two pies however were delicious! I would for sure come back here for the pies and empanadas.

This cutie locally food-focused restaurant sits on the north end of the island. The breeze in the back feels fresh and clean. You order first and then find a spot to make yourself comfortable. When traveling it can be hard to find a meal that truly feels refreshing and grounding, but Chaya and Cacao offers just that. Our digestion was in need of some TLC and we were grateful to see local kombucha and fermented foods on the menu. The apple and coffee kombucha is so refreshing and crisp. The iced matcha latte and iced sweet chai are also high on our list. The falafel bowl is balanced well leaving you feeling satisfied, but not heavy. We love the Caribbean bowl which has sweet plantains, rice, beans, mango, fibrous greens, sweet mango, and grounding potatoes. The avocado toast was the best I have ever had with various well-matched flavors working in perfect harmony. Summer rolls are fresh with a crunch that. feels hydrating on a hot island day. Overall this Isla Mujeres vegan find gets a 10/10 from me. The foods feel wholesome and nourishing! Not to mention extremely delicious.
