Torta Brava was an awesome stop. We were cruising by and decided to give it a go. The views are amazing and the staff was super friendly. Luis and Efrain were super helpful with the menu. We ordered a guacamole to start it off and it was super fresh and yummy. I had to try one of their tortas and it did not disappoint me. The bread tasted as if the had just baked it. All infringement were super fresh. If anyone is around the area definitely give it a go

This local restaurant is a simple breakfast and brunch place with amazing view with reasonable prices in the hotel zone. We found this place when I was craving for Tortas for the breakfast. I got the perfect torta with eggs and generous amount of cheese. The dipping sauces and salsas are home made and really good better than few of the restaurants I tried in the hotel zone. One sauce in particular the spicy avocado sauce is really good I had my torta dipped in this sauce. We also tried their cheese quesadilla, it is prepared with home made tortillas with bean sauce on the side and we got few veggies as well. Lattes are must try, we ordered dalgona and caramel latte it is very refreshing with added cinnamon powder on top. Perfect ambiance by the water and the interiors have green walls. The service is really fast and very responsibe as well.

We were walking down the hotel strip & met some folks that told us to try Torta Brava. We ate here twice & it was fantastic! We loved the tortas. We tried the breaded pork & breaded chicken tortas. They are served on this delicious soft bread with sliced tomato, sliced onion & shredded lettuce. They have a variety of sauces to slather on the tortas. We really like the chipotle sauce. It's really a yummy treat especially with an ice cold Corona with half lime squeeze. Oscar was our server all three times we visited. Great guy! We did not get to see Buch, the resident pelican. But we hope to see him next year. We will definitely be back for some more delicious tortas. The owners are super nice too.

I love this place for breakfast, the tortas are really good and the smoothies are so big they are hard to finish. I gave it 4 stars because their coffee if rather weak. The servir is very attentive and nice view.

Try the molletes, I added an egg.

Good selection of fruits and vegetables - we love the guavas, mangos, and carrots the most! They taste so fresh and more flavorful than what we get in the US. Prices are way better than what they charge at the hotel (though you're likely paying for convenience there). Highly recommend this treat to pick up items! The shopping is a bit rough- it's not exactly the cheapest place to shop in Mexico. It's not the most expensive- that honor seems to belong to the other grocery up the road a mile or two and the Cancun Pointe. The aisles are a bit jammed together, and they certainly cater to the gringo tourista. They have new swimsuits, hats, sunglasses, plenty of cerveza, tequila, mixers, and food. A bakery section offers pan dulces and a variety of things to make sandwiches with. There's a bunch of bottled water, and everything you need to feel at home. I kinda don't care for how they seem to organize this place- whatever they're doing, I haven't figured it out yet. The prices were okay, the selection okay. Okay!

I will say, right off the bat, this place is loud if you're hear during peak meal time. While the mariachi band was a nice added touch, it only exacerbated the already loud dining experience. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic meal, this isn't the place for you. But if you're ok speaking up a bit throughout the meal, do not pass on this restaurant. I opted to try things that I wouldn't easily find at a restaurant, even in Los Angeles where I live. That meant I tried an aztec corn soup for my appetizer (it tasted like liquid corn bread and I say that as a compliment) and then for my main I tried a Molcajete Mixto. It was absolutely amazing. The best way I could explain it is a Mexican bibimbap. Each of the 3 types of meats were grilled perfectly, the special cheese was mild, but had a really great texture to it. The bits of cactus were cooked to perfection where they were soft, but with just the right amount of bite to it. I gobbled that dish up so quickly and considered asking if I could have another one. If I wasn't already stuffed I absolutely would have. It was probably the single best dish I had the entire week I was in Cancun. I've now made it my quest to find somewhere near me where I can get something even remotely comparable. I also appreciate that they had 'kid cocktails.' All 3 of my boys felt so adult sipping on their special mocktails. Our wait staff was a tad out of sorts, they would often say they were going to grab something for us (i.e. a high chair) and then completely dissapear. In the case of the high chair we just ended up finding one ourselves. But I think this issue stemmed from them just being so busy and slightly overstaffed. When they were with us, they were nothing short of fantastic. Honestly, if I ever return to Cancun, I will absolutely be returning here. It was that good. It makes getting the all inclusive package worthwhile. I will, however, avoid going on mariachi night.
